Mail, contacts and calendar for windows 8.1 - Windows 8 General

Hello everyone!
I have a windows 8.1 32bit (not rt) and I can't install again the app "Mail, Calendar, Contacts" from the store, because my pc "can't meet the requirements" and because of that I can't even download the appx file by Fiddler.
I tryed then to search the "Touchmail" app as alternative, but it vanished from the store and also the appx seems to not exist on Google or Appx4fun
Can someone of you have the appx file of this app? Or the "Touchmail" appx?
Thank you in advance.

Missing Sync for Windows Mobile
I'm using Missing Sync for Windows Mobile on my OS X MBP. It works great and you can install .cab applications with it as well. Unfortunately you still need a windows machine/install to install the .exe stuff but I've found most software vendors for PPC apps supply a .cab install option now as well.

cool ill track down a PC and try it out. THanks!
You won't need a PC to install Missing Sync, it's a Mac universal binary. What I was speaking of are applications for the PPC device that require you to run an executable on a host PC (windows) to then install the application on to your device. However I just found this on another forum and I think I'm going to give it a try.
File Juicer - one of the features is "Extract CAB files from Pocket PC self installing EXE files" once you have the .cab you can install the application via missing sync.

oh I think i found this once, but 40$ and no trial scared me...

Problem uninstalling mnotes

Hello,
I have a pocket pc HP rw6828 running Windows Mobile 5 and a Lotus Notes Client Release 5.0.12. I was interesting in synchronizing my LN mails and calendars between Lotus Notes and my pocket pc. Therefore, I download the mnotes trial version from the commontime web site (4.02.00.03). I did not manage to get it work (the mnotes server could not start on my PC). This is the reason why I uninstalled this software, properly (I thought). Then I tried to install the English version. When installing this version, I am told that I need to remove the previous version (4.02.00.03). When I want to proceed, then I get an error
message saying that "Internal error 2753. F4205_CdzSetup.exe". And when I click "OK", it stops the installation.
Could you please help me in understanding what I need to do uninstall properly the previous version, and what I need to do start to start the mnotes server on my PC ?
Thanks.

Intellisync and Niki problems

Hi.
I have installed Intellisync on my device so I could replicate my job email. But the phone keeps rebooting after each sync.
Anyone had the same issue? Or even better, does anyone have a solution for this. It is pretty annoying when my phone reboots 20 times a day. At least...
I am desperately looking for a solution to this as well.
Is there perhaps a setting, that eliminates this reboot?
Why do you use Intellisync? Is it for an yahoo account?
IntelliSync was originally bought for sync'ing a couple of Nokia Communicators directly with our Notes server. But it never really worked...
So I convinced my boss, that a Windows Mobile device would do the job. And it actually does.
I log on to the Notes server, and make a setup for a WM device. Then IntelliSync sends a textmessage with a wap-link for a CAB-file directly to the phone. After installation on the phone, I have a complete Office-package with calendar, contacts, e-mail, etc.
BUT...
The problem is that each time the device has sync'ed, it performs an automatic restart. It can pretty annoying when the device makes 10 restarts, or more, every day.
Upgrade or install Client Patch
What version of the intellisync and client pack are you running? I had this issue on windows mobile devices with a particular version 8 client pack, it was a bug in the windows mobile client install. Nokia released a patch to resolve the issue or you could just upgrade to the latest Server/Client pack which should also do the trick. Info on the patch below, although it says TyTN if i remember correctly it affected my other windows devices as well.
Summary
This is a client patch that resolves a problem with soft resets occurring for the HTC TyTN II (WM) device. This patch is only applicable to Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite server version 8.0.70.35 (8.0 SP3).
New Features
There are not any new features with this patch only corrections to an identified problem with the Windows Mobile client. Please refer to KB article 1355353 for more information regarding the items which were corrected with this patch.
Requirements
Must have Intellisync Mobile Suite 8.0.70.35 (8.0 SP3) server installed. Please use the following instructions to install the updated client pack to the server:
Stop the Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite (NIMS) server.
Backup the existing <NIMS HOME>\ClientInstalls\SyncClient\PocketPC2005MTM and <NIMS HOME>\ClientInstalls\SyncClient\Smatrphone2005MTM folders by moving them to another location outside of the <NIMS HOME>\ClientInstalls folder.
Extract the contents of the 8.0.62.2.zip file and copy the patched extracted \ClientInstalls\SyncClient\PocketPC2005MTM and \ClientInstalls\SyncClient\Smatrphone2005MTM folders to the corresponding location on the Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite server.
Start the Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite server.
Uninstall and reinstall the Windows Mobile 6 Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite client to the Windows Mobile devices.

This seems to be exactly, what I was looking for. Thanks a lot!
Now I just need to find the zip-file, you're referring to. Do I get that from Nokia?
You need a login for support.nokia.com to download the patch. If i get a chance later on today i'll see if i can upload it somwhere for you to download.
That's brilliant! Thanks!

Windows Live Error: Some information is either missing or incorrect. Please try again

Hi.
I am having a problem with Windows Live on my HTC HD2. Sometimes when it syncs I get the following error:
"Some information is either missing or incorrect. Please try again."
I have now the latest Windows Live version (10.7.0061.0500.2000) and the latest ROM version (1.66.405.2). I also used to get the error with earlier versions of Windows Live and ROM.
I have searched through these forums and through many others and found no solution. Some say that the phone adds notes for the contacts whenever linked to Facebook or whenever added to favorites. I removed all notes from all contacts (successfully done by checking them on the web version of Windows Live) but the error still appears.
I tried to reinstall Windows Live, change versions, resync contacts, delete and reconnect the Live account.. but nothing worked.
I also entirely deleted the Windows Live folder on the phone and reconnected to the account. It didn't work.
Any suggestions?
I have the same error on a LG GW 550, not a clue what could be the reason

code 0x85010014 problem, WMDC will not sync

I have a big problem here . I have installed Windows 7 with WMDC.
My computer can see the Touch HD, i can even aproach the maps.
But when the Device want to sync with Outlook 2007 i get this errorcode 0x85010014.
I have reinstalled Office 2007 and WMDC several times but no results, the HTC helpdesk could not help me with this.
I hope somebody can help me
Hi ZDriver,
it looks as if there are many thing which could cause you to receive that particular error code in WMDC.
You can try the following:
1)Error '0X85010014' frequently occurs from Outlook APIs. Backup the Outlook settings and try to reinstall Microsoft Outlook (as suggested above you have already tried this step, so jump to step 2)
2)Upgrade to a later version of WMDC available. When using Exchange Server, you can alternatively turn off the folder redirection
3)Make sure to configure your anti-virus or anti-spyware program to allow ActiveSync that it can send scripts to Outlook
4)Make sure that the Outlook copy your are using is registered and legal
5)Try to repair or reinstall WMDC
6)Try to delete the partnership on your computer and create it again
7)Perform a soft reset of your device
8)Check for sufficient RAM
9)Run Scanpst.exe, your Outlook PST might be corrupted
If PST corruption issue persists even after running the Scanpst tool, try to import its data in a different PST and synchronize. If this doesn't help, delete the original PST provided a valid backup is available. However, it is suggested to use a commercial Outlook PST Repair tool when no suitable backup exists. A PST Repair software can repair and restore a corrupted PST using powerful and safe scanning algorithms.
Hi Mastoid,
Thank you for your advice.
I did all the things you suggested but no results.
Can it be the 64 bit version ? there is no 64 bit specific driver.
Somebody else suggestions ?
What version of Win 7 are you using - 32 bit or 64 bit? Could it be that you need the 64 bit version of WMDC?
I too have had problems with WMDC and Activesync. I have found a solution that works for me so I don't get the error messages:
1. Delete ALL items you want to sync from your mobile.
2. Delete ALL partnerships from your mobile.
3. Sync with XP PC (which in my case has all of the correct appointments and contacts which is all I want to sync).
4. Delete ALL partnerships from your Vista PC.
5. Delete ALL items you want to sync from Vista PC.
5. Sync mobile with Vista PC - make sure the device name the Vista PC suggests is the same as the XP PC.
Then hopefully you can sync either PC without any activesync errors. I have over 2000 appointments and over 400 contacts, so there is quite a bit of info. Each sync in 3 and 5 takes about 30 minutes. Each second sync only takes 30 seconds.
Well you can try to fix the PST error with the help of the scanpst.exe tool. if you are missing this tool then do a scanpst.exe download and repair the corruption. if not able to fix the corruption with the help of the Inbox repair tool then fix it with the help of PST repair tool which is an easy to use application for fixing entire outlook and PST corruption.
