Hi, i bricked my phone (SM-G935W8 w/ Bell Canada). After a few mess up with recovery etc...
I tryed to find an original os copy (from the OTA) of the firmware so i can get my sh*** together with that phone. As today (2018-09-15),nobody have the up to date firmware! ... so i got a lot of frustrating hours to be able to revert to stock. First half-boot(error) with Odin mode, then No boot with Odin mode. So maybe i'm not the only one who need those files. I dont now how to upload them to the server where all stock firmware are located. My FTP is down so i cant share it on the fly
Finally i got a WORKING firmware as today, there's are the spec:
Model: SM-G935W8
Region : BMC
BaseBand : G935W8VLS4CRH1
Build # : R16NW.G935W8OYA4CRH1
Android Security Patch : 01 August 2018
Android : 8.0.0
Samsung "experience" : 9.0
Kernel : 3.18.91-13597454-QB19357885 (14 aug 2018 15:06:44)
Size: 2449 MB
CRC32 : CHECK
Decompression : DONE
(AP+BL+CP+CSC+Home_CSC included)
If i can help some one just ring me. (if you can host the file since i dont have any server ATM)
I can never find the links! Arghhhh

I want to upgrade my wife's s4 i9500 wanamlite 4.3 ROM
This time I want to try a not modded rom
Need advice please - If I'm choosing the right way to a new stock firmware + ROOT AND RECOVERY :
1. Is this firmware suitable ? for Israel ?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=31706
Model: GT-I9500
Model name: GALAXY S4
Country: Germany
Version: Android 4.4.2
Changelist: 699287
Build date: Wed, 28 May 2014 14:23:46 +0000
Product Code: MBC
PDA: I9500XXUFNE7
CSC: I9500MBCFNE1
MODEM: I9500XXUFNA6
2. then, after the stock firmware ODIN installation
ROOT : http://download.chainfire.eu/326/CF-R...
CWM Recovery :- http://d-h.st/2Iu (Odin Version)
Is this two steps = 100% what is needed ?
& Also :
3. I see that Modded ROMs are >> Deodexed / Zipaligned converted
What Actually is the difference ? is it a Must ? for fast & good battery usage... etc.
4. and finally ( regardless to the stock base firmware etc. ) - Just a general question : What CSC is usually recommended when there is no unic one to your country ?
we are from Israel and when I used UK CSC - the Phone No. structure has been change
Many THX ( in advance )

Hi ,
Regarding 1
Yes, that would be the right firmware for that phone , question what bootloader you have right now , new or old? Go to download mode and see if there is any Knox related info , if there is not then you have the old one , I mention this just because if you have the oldbootloader and flash a stock rom >4.3 there is no way back and any flashing after that it will trip the knox warranty bit
Regarding 2
It depends, why you want a stock rom? You need root for some apps and some mods (as long as there is no flashing and depending in the bootloader no problem with knox) , you need CWM if you intend to flash
Regarding 3
Here you go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224570
Main advantage, moding and speed , other than that they are similar
Regarding 4
CSC CustomerSalesCode this has specific information about the carrier and country where the phone is used , language , phone number structure , SMS, MMS , special services offered by carrier…..must custom roms have multiCSC you can change them to the one want ( if you change CSC you will factory reset it ! backup first) , there are app that will do it for you
90% of the time there is no need to do it but if you want this is a great one for that

Just after some advice please guys. I just bought an s4 ( in australia ). 1.9 processor and the usuall other stuff but this s4 is the arctic blue model with 16gb internal storage.
I can't find enough consistant information about this model on the forums. I couldn't even find the corresponding firmware for the phone on samsung website so i checked if there was an update for the phone....there was and i downloaded. The below are the new details for the phone. All i want to do is root the phone and remove as much bloatware as possible without downloading any roms or any boot animations etc etc.
1) Where can i get the corresponding samsung firmware?
2) What's the safest root method for this device?

Hi mate,
for the firmware check here for the official stock firmware for your country and operator
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
Optus , telestra , vodafone and XSA for unbranded
for rooting use towelroot it will not trip you knox warranty bit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783157
Hi,
I am having trouble rooting my phone, indeed, when I go to download mode, my phone version number is: SM-G9006v, BUT when I go in about phone, the number is SM-G900F.
As I bought this phone on amazon, not from official samsung, I'm gonna bet it's the G9006v sold by some chinese as the G900F.
They probably changed the stock firmware version number.
Anyhow, my problem is that KingRoot or one click root or any other root software detects it as the G900F, so they fail because it is NOT the 900F.
Is there anyway I can tell KingRoot to use the 9006V method ? Or is there any trick I could do to root this phone ? (I can't find any ODIN images for it)
Thanks !
its getting info from your build prop,
whats the sticker say on the back of phone
post your build.prop
dl this to get info https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vndnguyen.phoneinfo
Sticker on the back says G900F

Also it has 185 Secret Codes (so I'm guessing it's not a fake)
Moreover, the Knox has been void, but it has always been on 0x1 ! Since the day I got it !
So basically it has been flashed before I even bought it new XD
SM-G9006V = China Mobile (WCDMA network)
what country/network are u in
does current sim work for your network for calls and data and what signal do u get now, 3g, lte, hspa etc
sammobile fw for 9006v http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G9006V/
Yes,
I am on Ultra Mobile (AT&T sub contractor) And it works great, the phone is fully unlocked and worked in Japan on Docom and France on Free...
In the 3 countries, I got 4G data (LTE for US, not sure for japan or france)
What should I do with the stock ROM ?
Should I reflash the phone with the stock chinese ROM ? (ahahah that's gonna be fun with kanji based menu to find my way around XD)
I'd rather Root this build, than learn chinese xD
oh, i thought u wanted stock.
how does it fail when flashing for root, whats the error message.
So if I try with ODIN,
It loads the 900F file, uploads it reboot, and then goes onto a Recovery boot loop
Loading recovery ...
Reboor
Loading Recovery ...
reboot
I can unbrick it by uploading philz klte recovery, BUT I still can't reach the recovery menu
Sadly there is no ODIN root file for the 9006v
If I use King Root (or towel root) it basically tries the 900F method, and then tells me it could not root it.
if it truly is a 9006v twrp has a recovery for it , its code name is kltechn and u use odin to flash the tar image
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html
it seems 9006v is the same kltechn as these SM-G9008V, SM-G9006W, SM-G9008W, SM-G9009W
Good evening XDA!
I purchased a BRAND NEW A7 2016 (on a sale) from a local retailer. It has the out of the box 5.1.1 lollipop installed, and knowing that there are some regions with 6.0.1 already, I tried to update mine. When clickng the "download update manually" button, it shows "Registering Device" and follwed by a "processing failed" prompt. Googling yielded no solutions. Upon consultation at sammobile forums, I recently found out that my MODEL NUMBER and my FIRMWARE numbers are not the same.
MODEL # in box : SM-A710FD * SE Asia Dual Sim version
MODEL # in phone : SM-A7108 (Shown in Download Mode) *Supposedly for Chinese Model A7 (Chinese Android w/out GPlay)
Firmware : A710FXXU1APH3 *Supposedly Europe Firmware installed
Baseband : A710FXXU1APH3
CSC : BRI (Taiwan)
The box was sealed when I got the unit so I really don't know how this could possibly happen.
What's more peculiar is that there is no OEM Samsung Keyboard out of the box (only google keyboard is installed).
So far I have tried flashing A710FD UAE Firmware (Secure Check Fail BOOTLOADER error) and A7100 Hong Kong Firmware (Just straight up FAIL) and currently downloading the A710F Russian MM Firmware for a final try.
Any help or suggestions would be great!
They must've changed the motherboard/case.
Go with what the software says, not the back sticker.
I have the same problem , any one help me
Download Samsung phone info and check the specs.
Same problem .Need help please
chines firmware

SM-A7108 firmware.
Hi and thank you for your time.
I´ve performed an advanced wipe with TWRP without a back up (thought i had) so i´ve got no OS and now i just want my stock firmware back installed.
I found several stock roms in another web site with csc and pda codes and I don't know wich one i should install.
Also i don´t know what info is relevant to answer the questions i have made. What i do have is:
Model SM-J320M
FCC ID
SSN
Country it was made Argentina
CNC ID
IMEI
S/N
And that the phone it self is not related to any comunication company but my service provider is CLARO
ps. I´ve contacted samsung support and the answer was to take it to a support center but i need to learn if im gonna keep messing with my phone..besides i'm broke ha!
