I'm trying to find a combination ROM (bypass FRP lock) for an S8 G950F which has bootloader 2 but I can only find ones for bootloader1
Anyone know if there is one available at all, or if there is any way to downgrade the BL to 1.
All I get when I try to flash with Odin is sw rev check fail(bootloader) device 2 binary 1

No you cannot downgrade that error is telling you the device is on 2 and fails on 1

oh ok, then I will need a combination ROM for this device with bootloader2 - anyone know if there is one available? My searches have proved fruitless so far.
I managed to get hold of a combination ROM for my G950F with bootloader2 and have loaded it and bypassed FRP using adb.
I then tried to flash the stock ROM G950FXXU2CRF7 but it doesn't do it.
Seem to be stuck on factory ROM now - any help appreciated!

What firmware are you on? If your phone is on APJ2 or later firmware (APL6, QC1, QD2) that means your phone is on bootloader 4 and can't be flashed back to APF2 as that's a bootlaoder 3 firmware.

Ok thanks for that. Not sure it was brought to me and all it does is boot to download mode or cycle thru various boot fails IV got it to bootloops at S7 screen it's looped showing small blue text in top right corner and it has also booted to screen telling me to use smart switch emgency repair
So not exactly sure what firmware it's on but any recommendation as to witch is most probable to work ? I no the frp lock is on witch will be next hurdle if I can ever get this to boot again ....

I'm relatively sure the phone was on a bootloader 4 FW before it was bricked. After I get home I'll upload the files you need to restore the phone to stock.
Flashed the qaa firmware .this passed but upon reboot loaded to Sprint LTE screen and then shut off and only shows battery charge screen
If I boot into recovery it goes to blue screen says installing update then Kirk's out to a triangle and says no command under it ....
Got it booted ....this freaking frp lock bs is a real pain tho ....most the tutorials I find r not for 7.0 ....
So is there anyway at all to downgrade ? From QAA 7.0 ....is bootloader locked (is there anyway to install twrp)
First off let me apologies in advance if this it the wrong post in the wrong place.
My problem is;
I bought a FRP locked samsung Note 4. The model appears to be N910T3UVS3EQB1.
I have looked at Youtube videos where people find a loophole in the locked software and break out to download unlock software, but mine has none of these.
So I installed ODIN 3.13 downloaded a firmware package and tried to send it to the phone.
the firmware file was N910TUVU1ANK4_N910TTMB1ANK4_N910TUVU1ANK4_HOME.tar.md5
I connected the phone in download mode, started the process, and it failed. The phone showed the script;
UDC START
SECURE CHECK FAIL : aboot
[1] eMMC write fail : ABOOT
Some years ago I did manage to change the firmware on a S2. Just to say I have managed this process at some time. Can anyone help? Questions I have are;
is it even possible to download a new firmware if FRP is on?
am I using the right ODIN version?
Where and what download files should I use if it is possible?
Now my phone is in Download mode, can I get it out by switching it off or is it now a small doorstop?
I hope this is ok for a start or at least a pointer to a better place to ask.
Simion.

thanks for that, I had a look and am I right in saying its another software package for downloading firmware. Though it might be better I am hoping to get to grips with ODIN first. If I can get answers to the questions I posed or some pointers from those who know more than me I think I will make progress.
Simon.
Long time reader of these forums, first time poster.
A friend of mine tried switching his Sprint Galaxy S8 to verizon and odin failed, and the phone wont load past the Sprint logo.
I tried fixing by loading the latest SPR firmware, but odin fails doing that as well. I've tried Odin v3.12.7 and odin 3b patched, and Odin PrinceComsy.
When I try to flash just the CSC it errors:
SW REV CHECK FAIL : [cache]Fused 5 > Binary 1
When I try to flash AP, BL, CP, and the CSC, the error SW REV CHECK FAIL : [boot]Fused 4 > Binary 1
I have scoured the internet and forums for about a month now, to no avail.
Am I using the wrong firmware? Wrong version of Odin?? Warranty Void : 0x0 means the warranty is still good, so should I just take it to sprint and let them reflash the firmware onto it? HELP!

0x0 means warranty good. Can't really trip a U
Those errors show as if you are trying to downgrade you are trying to flash what looks to be all revision 1 firmware. You need at least bit 5 5th digit back so I would look up this firmware G950USQU5CRL2/G950UOYN5CRL2 (USA (Verizon) - VZW) or G950U1UES5CRL2/G950U1OYM5CRL2 (Spint (cdma) - SPR).
It's weird to throw 2 different fused 4 and 5. Either way this device can't bee rooted so I would download the absolute latest. BTW 5crl2 that 5 is the bit number. 1 thru 5 I believe is all there are for the s8 right now

Thanks! Worked great to unbrick it!
It is still on the sprint network so I think I need to just flash G950USQU5CSA4 - GALAXY S8 SM-G950U VZW USA (VERIZON), right?

Just the Verizon csc from that firmware. You have to download it and flash I believe the home csc wih a Verizon sim in. As long as the device is sim unlocked

not anymore. there was a patch that fixed the bug that allowed this to occur. Sammy is always right on our tails. now you need the combination firmware, which you flash in Odin as well then follow it up with the stock firmware from sammobile since the combination FW isnt really bootable (it is, but its weird lol)

I flashed the combination firmware. After that I flashed my stock firmware but now I get stuck on recovery screen. First it says "Erasing" and then the dead Android mascot shows up. Can't boot into system. Any suggestions? FRP Lock is still on and I can't flash TWRP, custom binary is locked by frp.
possible solution
Hi, how are you? I'm sorry for my english, I'm from Brazil and I'm using the ksks translator so with my j5 i used the frp hijacker (just put it on google) there you choose the phone model, put it in download mode, install the program on the computer, choose the model, check remove frp and a hijack it! and ready frp unlocked

tried it on another computer? Ive had that issue with my desktop/laptop(s). I never dug into what caused it to fail on the desktop vs working on a few laptops. Literally everything else works exactly as it should on the desktop so i just let it be an unresolved oddity. Likely not worth the time it would take to resolve. Anywho, try a different computer and/or diff cable. I just ordered an Anker cable from amazon and its thicker and more sturdy than the micro usb cable ive been hanging on to from my old blackberry tour. Cables are stupid cheap online these days, even for the very very good ones. Perhaps worth a shot, but i cant suggest that you spend money on anything. I can say that its what I would do.
I've tried to flash combination file to my galaxy a40 with odin but it's giving me error ''re-partition operation failed''. I've tried with A405FNXXU3ATB1 and A405FNXXU3ATA1 files.
My firmware model number is A405FNXXU3BTG2. If someone could help me I would be so glad.

I just got into this recently and what I understood was that the combination file and the firmware should be identical. It is so hard to get matching files. Came here to ask if anyone could provide me. Don't no if it was any help.
Yeah I think that's true but I wasn't able to find any combination file that matches with that firmware. Maybe I just dump that phone because the time and effort it needs to get unlocked is way too much when mentioning what it's worth Just bought it from random romans and I didn't know about frp lock lol.
flashing combination ROM all newer Samsung devices will run into error "Please get the approval to use factory binary". you need to buy Etoken via Halabtech or bypass with similar service
