Android 9.0 For G920F/G925F - Galaxy S6 General

Hello Guys :fingers-crossed:
What about our beloved device, Is there any developer who works on this project to bring us android pie for this device
And if there can we test it ?? :good:

Yes, and yes.
@lukasb06 is working on it, and TeamNexus (?). Go and give him thanks on his thread for the NexusOS
He hasn't been online in almost two weeks or so, though. Not sure how he'll feel about us being the ones to spread news about his ROM instead of letting him do that, but oh well.
https://stor.lukasberger.at/TeamNexus/.testing/Samsung/zero/9/2018-09-08/
Though be wary, there's not even a thread about it yet, so many bugs could be present.
Bit of advice:
1. Stock camera doesn't work - use the GCamera modded for the S7Exynos.
2. GPS in plain device mode doesn't work - use high accuracy.
GApps can be downloaded from the OpenGapps website just select ARM64, 9.0, pico, and flash them after flashing the ROM.

Nice Thank you :highfive:

What about RIL Is it working ??

Well, no one has reported it as a bug yet, as far as I'm aware, so yeah?
Though bluetooth call-audio, and VoLTE (like in Oreo ROMs) don't work.
Also, instead of the modded GCamera, you can try using Open Camera.

- black theme crashes
- can´t power off softkey lights

Calling is working, back camera is working in open camera, but front camera always FC.
That is what I tested for 30 min. (SM-G920F)

Here's a way to have ICS and a working camera

This is mainly all thanks to Boot manager pro, so please thank them all for it!!

I entered my phone rom as CM-GB
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/10191-up...tery-no-charge-led-fm-radio-charge-while-off/
Then I had my first rom as MIUI on Gingerbread (in my opinion, MIUI has the best working camera)
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/19646-mi...mpass-fix-8-point-touch-smooth-scrolling-mod/
Finally, I put CM9 onto my second rom section
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/18589-cyanogenmod-9-unofficial-beta/
I was able to switch back and forth from every rom without any problems. I use CM9 as my main ROM of choice, and when I need to take a picture, I will swap onto my MIUI ROM. All it takes is a simple reboot to swap between them. This worked for me but I can't guarantee that it will work for you (I'm still shocked it works so well!! ). If this did work for you, please make sure to click the thanks button!!
13th angel's cm9 port has had mostly working camera for like a week. One of the other members has also tweaked the latest build and claims stock camera will take pics 100%. He is working on video and panorama now.

Here's the custom build if anyone wants to try it. For me camera works every time and will take pictures.
This build should also have mute in calls working. Sorry I realized that I was transferring the zip over wifi and was wondering what was taking so long.
All I did was fork the D2G framework_base and merge some overlay changes from tpruvot's base to get the camera buffer allocation working. I needed this so that I can start working on getting the panorama and camcorder working. All of my changes are at https://github.com/JB1tz
If this build fixes most of the camera issues for anyone who tries it then I can try to cleanup the patches for x13thangelx if he wants to pull.
I'm in the process of getting the camcorder and charging mode working. If i'm not too tired tonight and I have some success i'll update my server with a new build.

cm-11 successfully ported to SM-T900 (Tab Pro 12.2

Updated 10/22/2014 10:20pm EST - Thread closed see new thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-pro-12-10-8/general/cyanogenmod-tab-pro-12-2-sm-t900-t2914991
chhaggerty has now posted his source built cm11 for SM-T900 that has a full OP, why this post no longer is needed. Additionally, his build is the most complete and also runs smoother than its predecessors. However, without the initial work carried out by crpalmer, Valera1978 and bonuzzz this release would not have seen the light until much later, if ever.
I know this is not the correct place for this info, but the original thread is very, let's call it, chaotic. The OP is not maintained (do not flash .zip-files available in the OP), and it's very hard to find details unless you participated from the start and followed the development. Further, I believe this is of public interest for the community members, as the T-900 has not seen much development until now.
Tired of your laggy base ROM?
Valera1978 and bonuzzz from the P-900 forum has successfully ported crpalmer's cm-11 T-520 picassowifi to the SM-T900. The cm-11 ROM is very snappy and responsive, there is no reason not using it as a daily driver. Before flashing it's recommended to update to TWRP 2.8.0.0, see my note for details
Attention: This is a non-stock based ROM, why you also need to install gapps (set of packages - full, mini, micro, nano, pico). I prefer the Pico in order to be in control of the maximum of what is installed, but that's up to you.
Finally: Don't forget to make a backup of the ROM you currently have installed.
Do you want to try but are afraid to make the change? bonuzzz has released MultiROM for T-900. This will allow keeping your TouchWiz ROM, and concurrently install cm11. You can then, seamlessly, go back and forth between the two alternatives.
Alternatively, you can also try it the traditional way. However, some people had issues in going back to StockROM after having tried cm11, but after flashing bonuzzz's MultiROM kernel on the top of the TouchWiz ROM, it boots up immediately and radically improve the performance, isn't that a bonuzzz.
For the cm11, there might be some minor, non-verified, remaining issue(s);
- auto-rotation - screen orientation is always presented in landscape mode, independent of settings. However you can use an app, eg Ultimate Rotation Control, to lock the screen in any direction.
- IR blaster - I used IR 2.0 and had no issues with TouchWiz, but no reaction with cm11
I will try keeping a POST up to date with latest developments
- LED notification lights - don't look for it, functionality is not supported by the device
- Proximity sensor - don't look for it, according to Samsung's specs the device does not have one
Details of what has been fully tested can be found HERE

I tried to install your rom but it gave me an error. I installed twrp 2.8 and then I flashed the cm11 rom. See attached picture for the error.
I am very new in flashing stuff so I hope someone can help me and tell me what to do.
Many thanks.

I hope that you started by making a backup of your current ROM. Thereafter, I assume you did a factory reset, and also wiped your system.
However, It looks like you are installing gapps before the ROM, it should be the other way around. First ROM, then gapps.

How about the performance? any lags delays something?
This ROM works pretty well. Faster and cleaner than other. But GPS seems to be broken. Also I had troubles installing open-gapps (play services errors appeared). Only clean install ROM and gapps immidiately after that worked out. But enabling location tracking leads to force-closing google services. I remember there was a difference in gps hardware between i9000 and i897.
Thanks for the ROM though. Looking forward a gps fix.
I try port android 6.0 for captivate and bro can test?

oh yes i forgot to make change that. Thanks for notifying this to me. For making gps to work try to replace that file from your lollipop version roms to this and try flashing
i have been using it for several hours and i must say that is very stable and works better than other roms ive tried. its not crazy fast, but its good so far. havnt seen any force close. i havent tested all but su far great job. it takes its time to do its stuff but, im mean, its lollipop on a 6 year old hardware.
thanks for the rom. i was searching for something stable. ill keep testing and reporting.
Super !! Fantastic !!
This, by far, is the best ROM for Captivate. I had to rejuvenate my Captivate as my 6+ was IMPOSSIBLE to use due to the screen flicker disease. I initially tried the CM 11 - 20160815 4.4, it was awfully slow. I tried various other ROMs. SlimKat was decent but, I could not get the ATT signal to work properly.
BIG THANKS to the contributors ! Great Job!!
BTW, Great forum. I will be seen here more often.

I think @Audiracecar90 was referring to Open GApps (opengapps.org). Choose "ARM", Android version 5.1, and a Variant of mini or less (TV stock not recommended I guess).
Runs pretty nice. Front facing camera doesn't work.
I have just brought my old i897 Captivate back to life after a few years of sitting around, my primary current phone broke and this is going to be my backup for a few weeks. This ROM works great, I'm just having an issue where the system partition is so small/filled up (even from a clean install) that I can't even install GApps Pico! Not sure if anyone has run into this or has a solution? Thanks!
First of all, thanks to OP and everyone involved in making this rom available. I'm not too hopeful that someone will reply seeing as development for this phone seems dead, which is understandable given its age. Anyway, after overcoming some problems (I'm new), I succesfully flashed it and, by itself, works great. However, now I'm haunted by the infamous "Google play services has stopped working" message every 10 seconds. It goes away after clearing Google Services cache's but that comes with additional problems such as notifications for apps relying on it not arriving (not to mention it's a pain having to do it with every reboot). Any permanent solution? Using GApps Pico. I think the problem might related to the fact that my /cache partition is currently using vFAT (TWRP wouldn't let me change it to F2FS or EXT4.) but I don't really know. I will appreciate all the help I can get because I can't really buy a new phone. Thanks in advance.
Also, fyi, the "Downloads" app (not the manager) FC's everytime I try to open it. Not that it matters because things still get downloaded and are accesible through x-plorer but just wanted to let you know.
Not sure about the answer to your problem, but where did you find TWRP???
I think it came embedded with this rom, I mean.. I flashed from CWM Recovery the first time and once my system was all booted up, going back to recovery showed TWRP.
Also, the stock camera app fc's whenever I try to change settings but Focus (F-droid store) works fine.
Cool....Maybe I'll try it...Thanks.
i just installed but the room does not let me sync my google account
Does anyone have this ROM? The links do not work.
LineageOS uses Android 4.4.4.4 and that is no longer permitting some of my apps to work. I need a later version of Android on my Captivate.

Paranoid Android 6.0.1 [Xperia Z2]

Sharing you the Good News from PA Team.
We are launching brand spanking fresh. All new features. New team members. New everything and we have made sure that everything that we are releasing has been polished to our best.
The main features and enhancements that you will probably end up noticing are our custom Quick Settings tile reordering functionality, floating window support, immersive mode, the new on-the-spot interface and CM Theme Engine.
Quick Settings tiles can be managed with ease - you can reorder the tiles by simply long pressing them, remove them by dropping them in the trash bin and add them back in from the add panel. The hidden tiles will be out of your way when checking the notifications but will still be usable from the add panel without any hassles if you want to do that all of a sudden.
You can make an application float either by long pressing a notification and tapping the floating button or by tapping the floating button for the application in the recents list. Additionally, you can make peeking (heads-up) notifications open floating windows by enabling that behavior in the "Floating peek" tile.
Those are not the only changes and features we have added. There are a variety of improvements to CAF devices (OnePlus, OPPO and others) which add custom kernels, advanced gesture and buttons control and more to provide a great experience on those devices. Of course we have spent a lot of attention on making all the visual details look right and on making all the functionality work right.
Over the months we have gained a bunch of new team members. We are now ready for all varieties of work - be it low level, aesthetics, user experience, motion design, testing or anything in-between. What we strive for is the best and we are stronger than ever to reach that.
On Paranoid Android 2016 launch we are supporting popular Nexus devices (6P, 5X, 6, 5, 4, 7 2013, 9) and the OnePlus family (One, 2, X and 3) along with some Sony devices. The lineup is this way to make sure we release the best possible experience on all the devices we release for. No compromises, pure greatness.
We highly recommend everyone to use OpenGapps full version (do not use stock). Nexus 6P users need to make sure their vendor partitions are up-to-date (6.0.1). Our Nexus 5X builds come with a prebuilt vendor image so no worries for you folks!

unloked bootloader is necessary
1 copy the zip in the sd card (the rom and the gapps)
2 reboot on recovery (use advance recovery highly recommended twrp)
3 make backup (just in case if anything goes wrong) then make a full wipe (dalvik cache, system, cache and data)
4 flash the rom zip, have done this, flash the gapps
5 then reboot system, it takes some minuts thats all.
good look:good:
Hum... Im getting Error 7 and I cannot find any "assert" line in the "updater-script"... does anyone know how to fix it?
what about camera?
Camera works, and launches quickly. It supports 20MP resolution in 4:3, but only 720P 30FPS video.
Phone handset mode doesn't output audio, but speakerphone works.
NFC is not working.
exFAT support for the SD card seems to have disappeared, so you'll have to be formatted as FAT32.
Recovery disappeared after installing.
Installing the SuperSU zip file after installing pa_sirius-6.0.2-20160731-signed.zip and GApps appears to have failed, which means that I have an unrooted device, no recovery mode, and no way to get either back without going to a factory image.
Other than that, seems smooth.

Rom is smooth. Has some useful features such as the long press quick settings management. I like the battery icon (lol, yeah). otherwise looks like AOSP except for CMTE. Camera is better than all custom MM roms I have tried but picture quality is still poor. Focus works though which is a plus. Can definitely be daily driver for people who aren't big on camera quality.

Is this Lineage OS 15.1 build for Redmi 2 Prime genuine?

Basketbuild.com/devs/Warrenlobo
I found this online. Contains number of Oreo builds for Redmi 2 (wt88047), but when I flash the Lineage OS Build update 16-03-2018 , it returns Error 7, says this is for the following devices....
A list of all the redmi 2 models appears on screen, including 2014818..
This is the only file I've tried from the list.
Can someone confirm if this is legit?
I'm looking for a stable Oreo 8.1 Build for this device.

Dear warrenlobo,
I just want to say that I already tried the two most recent builds and I'm impressed.
I was looking for an alternative rom for my Redmi 2 (2014813/wt86047) because MIUI updates have stopped a long time ago.
So I was searching for some recent builds of Lineage OS and by chance I read this post and this is how I located your repository.
First, I tried to flash lineage-15.1-20180316-UNOFFICIAL-wt88047.zip but got error 7 (This might be a problem with the recovery), so I removed the checks from the script and it flashed ok. The rom was slow, had some random reboots, maps and earth was crashing, FM Radio was not working but other apps, camera and settings were working. Modem was not working on my device and I had to flash a compatible NON-HLOS.bin.
Then I flashed the latest version, lineage-15.1-20180321-UNOFFICIAL-wt88047.zip in which maps and earth are running without crashes, FM Radio is not working and I think that the camera app is completely missing because the camera launcher is crashing probably it doesn't find any cameras in hardware level. The rom is slow, had some random reboots, but very promising with good battery life and I have it installed on my phone for now.
edit: Forgot to write that AudioFX is not functioning properly, you can enable it after a song starts but on the next song the sound would be muted.
Warrenlobo, when you finish your exams, it might be a good idea to start a thread for this rom, with some development changes so we can send you feedback and help you improve this. I think that it is very close to being a fully functional/full speed Lineage OS Oreo rom for Redmi 2. Also I think that you should make it an official LineageOS rom.
Thank you very much and good luck with your exams.
What about VOLTE with 21-03 build?
Lost it when flashed over 16-03. Haven't tried clean flashing yet.

Android Go is a slim Android edition for very basic/entry level phones. It has a simpler graphics, needs special apps because it has a limited/simpler set of libraries.
I think that Redmi2 is a decent phone, capable to run the full Android. But it could be built as an alternative to the full experience and it can be useful for devices with 1GB of RAM.
