Oxygen OS 2.1.4 is Here !

As OxygenOS for the OnePlus One is a community-sourced project, the package containing OxygenOS 2.1.4 is not available via OTA and will require manual flashing. Fortunately, replacing your pre-existing operating system should be no more challenging than grilling a strip of bacon. Download the appropriate file for your system and follow the instructions. Please note you will lose all your data. Also, do not try to flash this build through TWRP. You will most likely lose your radio and IMEI which means a trip to our customer support. It won't lead to thermonuclear war but just don't do it.

Note :
1. You can flash it via Materialized TWRP 2.8.6.0.1 even the original thread, because mine running great
2. If you wipe data & cache via OnePlus Recovery, the process can take so long, so be patience
2. If you get 'Installation Failed' in OnePlus Recovery, you must place the md5
3. If you get error that like the package is for OnePlus, not A0001, you must edit the binary-script in the META-INF/com/google/android
4. Unfortunately, it's 5.1.1

Hi! I'm looking forward to install this, i have TWRP 2.8.7.0.4 (i think) materialised, it flashes firmwares and related stuff because i installed several other ROMS (went back and forth on H2OS and CM12.1, for example) and everything went fine always.. Does that means that i could flash it through TWRP directly and not via the official guide? I don't want to brick it, it's my only cellphone right now Also, full wipe (internal storage too) isn't something i want to do right now, do a backup of everything i have in the phone is a tedious work
I'm thinking about edit the updater-script directly to avoid the warning error and install with no problems
Would you think it would be fine that way or should i wait for some feedback on it works well or not?

I will never install this featureless thing which contain just pieces of code they could really do for us. No maxxxaudio RAW and manual camera support and I think slow shutter is not present too.. I have marshmallow fully working stable Build which is really community build not this leftovers for forgotten phone... I am DISSAPOINTED. Period

Anyone having issues with FC of Gallery and Notes?....I am getting multiple repeated messages making the phone very difficult to use since the update from EU rom to this Global rom. Also when I go to settings/about phone/system updates/ reboot to recovery I am getting the picture of the phone with the cable plugged in and the web address at the bottom of the screen. Will I now get the OTA with this rom?

Yes ? I did a factory reset and reflashed the rom and now it seems amazing.

Guys what's the main difference with this Global Rom as opposed to the previous EU roms?

- France makes really tasty Nougat, juts eat some until Xiaomi will give us Nougat too

The previous EU-ROMS ar CUSTOM made, the Global is official. So noo need for a Xiaomi.eu ROM. And yes, cyou can flasg the OFFICIAL Global without unlocking the bootloader IF you are on a OFFICIAL Stable or Developer. Not on any "EU"-ROM

I'm now on MIUI8 8.2.2.0 Stable ... if i flash the Global Rom, no risk for me ? I lost nothing like all my apps, settings, photos, videos, settings ... ????

Flashed the 8.2.1 Global ROM using a PC and it works great. GAPPs installed and less bloat.

Between this phone and my oneplus 3 and pixel xl I actually like this one the most besides the fact that it runs android 6.0. Why do you dislike it?

Dislike ? I have all Samsung Note Series, as well more S series and here is conclusion.
MIUI is great dissapointment comparing targeted phone price...As I wrote in one review, it looks like little children "played games on Ferrari car"...I have all weird chinese letters as "houses,dots and boxes" instead normal text or keyboard...also..everything is chinese or some sort of...can not sync my google accounts,doesnt have possibility to import of contacts even can not create one, can not normaly type SMS messages....can not upgrade it to normal operating system because there is suported...none !! It is unbeliveable slippery. Official support is..none ! Camera is also very cheap one and images are unbelieveble bad for that devices price tag.
also needed to create weird MIUI account, or something to get support for nothing...bootloader is locked and if you are happy they will unlock it.so ou can not even change rom to something usable.
Let me be straight...phone looks very good...but usebillity is ONLY for Chinese people...for 800€ I should buy new S8...but I am lucky that I will get my money back and it was good school...Chinese devices...never again...Anyway, I could count disadvantages countlesly, and there is also one good thing...design.
Very very dissapointed..waste of money indeed....it was my notice for people to rather spend 700-800€ on something more usefull.

i hate when my mi mix dont recognize horizontal swipe. many times it mistakes horizontal swipe for vertical.. thats the only thing i dislike.

ARCore on MI9

For those who is wondering ARCore is working on the MI9
Install the Magisk module ARcore enabler download ARCore in the Playstore.
And you are done.

I would like to get it without root Mi 8 and Mi 8 se are compatible. I think this is "only" a matter do time before we get it on mi9. I just don't understand why is it not available from the launch date. Is this a normal procedure for ARCore from Google? I never investigated this

I installed it from Google Play directly.
Not the application, google play from Firefox app directly in the phone app.
Search in the Firefox app in the phone: "google play ar core", it can be installed.

Now can be installed directly via playstore. Maybe arcore started being supported for mi9.

Xiaomi Greece told me today that the ARCore is already fully compatible on the official "Developer ROM" and it will be promoted to the "Stable ROM" on the next official update.
Did anyone try it in the "Developer ROM"?

Mine out of the box it was installed... playground ar core apps gcam and everething worked perfectly without unlock without root without donloading anything... strange...

Because some people has it longer than you... And at that time it wasn't working.

Updates for MI 9T Russia

I bought a MI 9T few days ago from Amazon, I'm from Italy and the announcement said "global version", but I received a russian version instead…
No problems configuring it in my language and so on, but my system now is Android 9, MIUI 10.3.10.0 PFJRUXM, security patch 2019-07-01. No updates available, it says...
Searching around I've found that Global and UE versions can be updated to Android 10/MIUI 11, but there seems to be no updates for Russian yet.
Can you please confirm that?
Someon knows why (I don't think there are hardware differences, right?) and if the update will be available soon for Russian model too?
Otherwise, is there a simple way to force the update using Global or UE ROMs?
Or I better return the phone to Amazon…

Thank you for the asnwer, but i think the recovery firmware you linked is for Mi 9, not Mi 9T.
And the other one is the ROM I have already (but I don't know why the site says MIUI 11)

Sorry, yes, I overlooked that 11.0.3.0 is for Mi 9 (without T)
Then, you can see from that both sites that yours is the latest RU version released

I've found the latest Russia Stable ROM with MIui 11, but still on Android 9. Anyway it's better than the MIui 10. I think we'll get the Android 10 version this or next month, don't worry.

That's the latest, at present. Hope To receive Android 10 soon...
Still I can't understand why RU models receive less updates than other versions, and always later!
(because I don't think there's any difference between Global, EEA and Russia ROMs...)

I've found the file on another site, but it's the same of elstylon post.
Downloaded on the phone, then forced manually update from the ZIP file.

There are no big news, to be honest, but in my opinion it is always worth updating, when you can (bugfixes, security patch...).

There definitely is a difference, the global version is pretty much worldwide, the EEA version is more more for the European market, Also is Widevine L1 for streaming netflix, Amazon etc... In full had. I believe the EEA models were created with the options to completely turn of ads and bloat, also complies with gdpr regulations. The Russian one I found really like the global but updates are much slower, mine came shipped with EEA. Also you can change this with unlocking the bootloader, flashing the desired rom and relocking again. Download all roms from mifirm.net

Conversion between RUX, MIX and EUX is posible without unlocking bootloader...

and last night suddenly i got black screen when watching youtube but can be back to normal again but this morning it happened again.

Hey everyone,
I'm currently in China and I'm thinking of buying the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, the Mainland 8 Pro currently only comes with the new Hydrogen OS, and limits use of certain features that I, as a user from the U.S. would like to use. The global website only has roms for download for up to the 7T Pro, not the 8 Pro yet. I'm wondering if there is any way to flash the global rom onto the 8 pro at this point. If not, I guess I'll have to reconsider my choices.

You might want to reconsider... The 5g frequencies differ from the models... I'm not sure where I read it but do some extra research before buying and not fully functioning back home...

Yes something with the supported frequencies being different from CN US and EU models regarding 5g

Wasn't able to flash. I unlocked the bootloader and rooted no problem. But then whenever I try to flash to Oxygen, it says that I am not allowed to "downgrade". I think because the nomenclature for Oxygen is lower than that of Hydrogen right now.

Have you tried the msm tool? the one which flashes OOS, but it will relock your bootloader and wipe the internal storage, cheers
