Hello, i have a problem with 4G. My battery is draining when i'm on 4g network with any rom (stock rom, nougat, oreo ...). I don't have this problem when i'm in 3G.
I've been using for 1 year Intelli3G module for xposed on my x720 .
You can set these combination : https://lh3.ggpht.com/xSrBFjXUhZ75h7...wact=w720-h310
phone switches automatically to GSM mode with screen OFF
and to LTE, GSM/WDCMA mode with screen ON.
so you can limit the drain of battery at least a little bit

so what do i need to show?
You lost 30% of battery after 8 hours and you used the camera and facebook, no sure where the battery drain is? Facebook isn't exactly battery friendly to begin with. What was your screen on time?
I have the solutions for the duos version, my s7 edge duos was draining on standby or idle about 10 to 20 per 8 hours, I did all tips and fix but no success, just brand-new. I used two simcard ,sim1 is primary for call and data and sim2 for voice only but I noticed sim1 was connected as lte/3g/2g and it should but sim2 was 3g/2g so I switched sim2 to 2g only ,it just for voice then boom 8 hours idle 1% lost . This was my fix and experience , with two sim allow to search for 3g it's a waste of battery, but one sim only or the second sim2 on 2g then doze is fine. U can find these option setting sim manager, goodluck

I have the following situation. Bought in US LG G3 phone for a kid. Phone was stated 855 ( I live in Europe). Once I bricked him trying to revert from 5.0 to 4.4 due to huge bateery drain, it was found that actual MB model is 851 TMO.
The current situation is:
1. Phone bootloader unlocked, rooted, installed 7.1.1 Nougat, Lineage OS 14.1-20170108-UNOFFICIAL-d851 flashed with adb.
Modem is: MPSS/DI.2.0.1c1_13-00009-M89***
2. Recently purchased 4G SIM from virtual provider of Partner
3. Kid complaints on following:
- battery drains to 0 in 2 hours ( new brand battery, manufactured 8 months ago)
No applications installed - GApps pico, Chrome, Root Checker and Waze.
APN be default were set to Partner 3G portal.
I changed APN to fit virtual provider settings:
- slow surfing - I took the phone today and it indeed switches all the time between 3G and H. Talked to provider, looks like they sent me wrong SIM ( 3G flashed ).
I also see in battery usage - Mobile Strength signal - a lot of yellow lines inside green.
Network signal is HSDPA @ 7.2 Mbps
I made cross SIM test - took the SIM from a friend ( different provider and tested it with my phone) - H+ all time and Network signal is HSDPA @ 42.2 Mbps
My "blaming finger" is SIM, but Im not sure this is the main issue for battery drain.
So, I expected to get a new SIM from provider and will test it.
Q1: Am I suspicions or it can be SIM issue?
Q2: I need battery good life ROM. I'm new to LG ( mine is A0001), so I'm not sure either stay with original TMO ROM, go to AICP or else ( preferable Nougat, otherwise MM or Lollipop much better)? The most usage is surfing, WhatsApp, etc
Q3: How to set LTE correct settings? the "4636" code gives me only testing mode?
Any help will be appreciated.
Unstable signal drain your battery, just check the battery life without the sim.
I have the battery problem everytime i flash an AOSP; if i have full 100% battery and reboot the phone i got 4%-10% battery and the phone shoutdown cause no battery after a minute.
Btw try to calibrate the battery Apk

Thanks mate, planned to do so. I remember that it was like 1 day standby with 4-5% battery lost only when no SIM was in there. will try again overnight.
Basically you say - go with Stock ROM? I'm a little scare since i can potentially loose ability to surf at all.
Tried wife SIM in there and no stable stable as well, when this SIM works well at her OnePlus. Still the result was better. Possible I have to clean all APN and stuff ( cache, so so so) before letting new SIM in.
or those are both bad SIM + bad ROM...
Ok so i bought a G930V but the problem is my phone's battery getting drained cause i got low LTE signals at my house. Battery drain goes away when i put on the airplane mode so its a signal issue. Could someone please tell me how do i force this phone to use UTMS/WCDMA instead of LTE all the time?
Currently the phone is on Global settings and battery's draining very fast.
Kindly help me out asap. TY
NVM the problem got solved via 4G Lte Switcher app.
Hi
From the first day of owning my Le Pro3 Elite I am facing severe battery drain when network type is set to anything else than "Only GSM". On 2G standby drain never exceeds 0.4%, when set to "Global" or "LTE/WVDMA/GSM" it is about 2% per hour, which is ridiculously high.
The drain is the same under 20S baseband, flashing the 26S genesys to update baseband made no effect. Complete system reinstall, including baseband did not solve the issue. I am running the latest AICP 13.1.
Is anybody having the same problems?
I have the le pro 3 x727 n i had the same problem what i did was use suspend actions in the aicp settings what it did was turned the data to 2g when the screen was off and it fixed my problem

You should also use programs such as Doze modules in Magisk, Programs that you can download on Playstore such as Servicely and Naptime, which controls unused processes from running in the background. If you are using Pie. You can go into every app and control what runs i the background and what doesn't. You can further control what processes allowed allowed to ru while connecting to WIFI versus Data.
I think none of Magisk modules can help to make 4g standby drain less. For my X722 Im used that standby drain is about 2-2.5 % per hour. I have tried like 10 different roms and it stays the same, including the stock rom. I didnt have such a big drain with Le Max 2 so it's weird. Also I have heard other X722 owners had much less drain (some people even claim that drain is 2-3 % per night on 4g but I dont want to believe it). Maybe that has something to do with specific radio receiver or something which maybe can be different types even on the same phone models. If I want my phone to drain 1-3 % per night, I have to switch to 3g/gsm mode.

Running LineageOS 15.1 on x727 phone. The battery drains 50% over 8 hours when the phone has been shutdown. Has anyone experienced this problem. Is this an OS thing or a firmware thing, or something else?
Bro. That's my phone's cancer.
Look. I've tested <almost> any rom out there, Nougat Roms, Oreos Roms, Pie Rom... And I had Battery Drain in deep sleep mode... I lost 15%-30% on overnight.
I though was a Battery issue and its gonna die so, I did a some test.
First, charge your phone (up to 90% its ok) and Turn it off complete. Let it turned off at least 8hrs (overnight for example). Then turn it ON your phone. You should loss ~3% of Battery. That its a good battery signal. If you lose 10%+ your battery is in bad condition. Another signal of Bad Battery is your battery get warm a lot even screen turned off.
What I did? In my case my battery its still good and look like its a system battery drain (yes, in any Rom what I tested, even with grenify, snaptime and other mod like kernel and thermal zip)
Also, my phone do not spend battery while its on screen, the issue its not get into in deep sleep, and that is the problem...
I am using a DotOS 2.4 (Oreo Rom) and I did not flash any Kernel mod. Just magisk+Dolby.
Also installed *DS Battery Saver* and setting in "Agresive Mode" that force to sytem to get into Deep Sleep mode and I choce what app keep alive on "white list"
Before I got -3.5hrs SOT Now I get around 5.5hrs SOT of battery (I use YouTube and Instagram/WhatsApp a lot //Not Facebook and play game, never)
Also I put the phone in Airplane Mode on overnight to avoid innecesary Battery drain.
*Sorry for my English*
Try to install last AICP Pie, switch to 3G instead of 4G ( do it in SETTINGS --> Network & Internet --> Mobile Network ... etc. choose WCDMA preferred, then dial *#*#4636#*#*, tap Phone Information, tap Preferred network type, choose WCDMA preferred ). Works great for me
