I used SP tool to flash the firmware (Link given by @AC_DC in another thread).
When I select the option 'firmware upgrade' it says error proinfo: Failed to get PMT info. The it says 'select option to format and download'. After doing that, after the 'download OK' popup, I try to boot up the phone and nothing. It isn't booting up. (white variant of pixel v1)
My phone is literally dead, only the preloader is working. I also tried formatting and then trying it again, but nothing works.
Please direct me to what I should do now. Any help highly appreciated :good:

Hello your problem is solve.....?
This method is legit and works 100%
Hey all
U said that u still have TWRP. So go to recovery, clear data, and in clear system partitions, select everything and clear.
Then follow the following steps -
1) Turn off yr V1 and get it into fastboot mode and connect it to yr PC( make sure u've adb installed. Link - https://androiddatahost.com/bnjkh)
2) download : https://firmwarefile.com/lava-pixel-v1. Place the 'boot' and 'system' files from the downloaded firmware to the folder where u have adb installed.
3) Open CMD( A .exe called 'cmd here' is already present in the file of adb, so run it as administrator)
4) Type -
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
. Give it some time.
5) Type -
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
. Give it time (It takes 4-5mins, so dont panic)
6) Type -
Code:
fastboot reboot
THIS METHOD WORKED FOR ME MANY TIMES.
If it helped you, click the :good: thanks button
for the first time last night I tried to root my moto x style/pure. All was going well as I rooted and unlocked the bootoader successfully but after trying to flash a .img file (as I was told by the app I was using) from a custom rom my phone turned off and is now stuck on 'bootloader is unlocked' warning when trying to boot it up. I can access android recovery, but i dont know what else to do from there...

If yu was at stock rom you coldn't flash any .img file from LineageOs.
I think you have to restore(your own twrp backup) or flash the newest stock rom.

its stock recovery
So you have to flash stock rom using fastboot. After update to the newest.
Remember!!! Don't lock bootloader and:
Without: "oem begin, flash bootloader, gpt, oem lock"
Check how many system sparsechunks are in downloaded StockRom.zip, you have to flash all from 0 to end.
Here is how to:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...de-return-to-stock-relock-bootloader-t3489110
Connect to pc in bootloader mode.

You have bootloop. You can connect only in bootloader/fastboot mode.
Only fastboot can detect the device.
Windows device manager should show "adb device".
How did you unlock bootloader?

You need to plug your phone into the computer in download mode after that and using Odin on a PC flash twrp.IMG.tar file for your specific device but make sure to turn off auto reboot in Odin.
Then once the file flashes successfully you need to pull out the battery, put it back in and reboot to recovery before doing anything else. If you reboot the os first then it will delete twrp and revert back to stock recovery so make sure to boot to recovery first

Installing a custom recovery is unlocking your bootloader. It means the same thing.
Here is the latest twrp in .tar format for your device (j5008) https://github.com/Galaxy-MSM8916/releases/releases/tag/TWRP-3.2.3-lineage-15.1_j8_20180921_j5ltechn

Are you sure that install a custom recovery will also unlock the bootloader? I don't think so! For me they are two different operation! Anyway my device is j510fn 2016 not j5008. Glad to start a conversation!

fast boot? You mean download mode?
There is no adb commands either this is a Samsung device you vacant unlock your bootloader by adb commands.
To unlock the boot loader download Odin to your PC.
Enable usb debugging and oem unlock in developer options of your phone.
Download twrp for your device from here https://github.com/Galaxy-MSM8916/releases/releases/tag/TWRP-3.2.3-lineage-15.1_j35_20180921_j5xnlte (j510fn)
Put the phone into download mode and connect to PC
Click the AP tab in Odin and find your twrp.zip.tar file.
Disable auto reboot in Odin.
Flash the file.
Pull out the battery
Reboot to recovery before rebooting the os and BANG unlocked bootloader with twrp installed

Are you able to go in twrp recovery?
Till which step did you reach? What waa the last message you saw on screen?
Charge it for a day, then press vol + button and power button and see if you can get to fast boot. Try plugging USB in and see if it's recognised, otherwise.

Hey guys My phone is " zte axon 7 a 2017 g" version oreo , b03: i want to downgrading from oreo to naugat then downgrading from naugat to marshmallow (want to unloack bootloader ) can i downgrading two times without no problem with locked bootloader
Can you please not spam on every single Axon 7 thread.
The instructions to downgrade to Nougat are simple, and do-able via the EDL Tool.
It's not possible to use the EDL Tool on Linux, so I'd recommend finding a Windows machine.
•Download the tool, and extract to the root of your C:\ drive as instructed in the thread
•Download the B12_Nougat_A2017G_FullEDL package from the EDL Tool thread, and extract all the files to the flash/full folder of the tool
• On your device, enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking from the developer settings
• Connect your device, and open the tool. It will prompt you and then automatically reboot the phone into EDL mode.
• Select 'Flash' and then 'Full' and wait for the flashing to finish.
• It will prompt to reboot your phone, after which you'll find it is now running Nougat.
From there, you can go back to Settings and enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking from the developer settings once more, and reconnect your device and open the tool. This time, select 'Unlock' and 'unlock bootloader'.
Once the bootloader is unlocked, follow the instructions in the LineageOS 16 thread, and flash the latest version of twrp (can also be done via the tool), universal bootstack, modem, and finally ROM/GApps/Magisk as needed.

You need to flash TWRP initially with the EDL Tool aswell. LineageOS / other ROM additions such as GApps and Magisk are flashed via TWRP, which is the recovery on the device and doesn't require a computer.
The phone shouldn't get stuck on EDL mode, but if it does - no need to worry. You can just let the battery drain which can take a few hours and then plug your phone back into your computer and try the tool again.
