Disable md5 check in twrp settings. Or you could just download the md5, it should be able to be downloaded with the ROM.
But you should be okay as long as you downloaded the right file for your specific device as long as you disable md5 check.
I can't remember where in the settings it is exactly but have a look in twrp and you will find it.
Any trouble leave a comment here and me or someone else will try help you further

Hello, I rooted my galaxy 4 yesterday with odin v.3.07 and flashed CWM. I erased as usual when you flash another rom, but when i try to install a rom it just say something like "Aborted". I can access CMW and download mode, but can't install a rom from CMW, and I don't have any backup. Anybody know what to do? My computer knows that the phone is plugged in as i can see it in the odin program.

You must know the area your phone came from.
These seem to be zips,so flash with CWM.

You have to unzip this file and install the content with Odin.
After unzipping this archive you should end up witch md5 file and this is the file to put in to Odin

Hi,
Maybe try installing a different recovery.
I heard sometimes these new recoveries need more than one go to install things.
Thank you, problem solved =)
Can anyone Help, I'm looking for the Stock s4 19500 XXUEMJ5 Kernel, as you may know Hot File is now dead and I can't seem to find one. After checking the "fake system status" option in wanam Xposed I was surprised to see after reboot a package update downloading, I try install the update via CWM recovery but the android robot has a cardiac arrest, I'm assuming the install needs to be installed via the Stock recovery to work, (right or wrong?). Anyone know where I may find the Stock Kernel/recovery or does anyone know a trick to install via CWM recovery.
Many Thanks in advance.
If the android robot has a cardiac arrest.. this mean u haven't install one CUSTOM Recovery in ur phone. Try flashing by Odin: TWRP, CWM or Philz Touch

Many Thanks for Your Reply! I Was Flashing the Update using CWM but as I said it failed, I was assuming the reason being that the md5 signature reading is different between stock recovery, (but I'm Just a noob), and that of CWM. I tried to find the downloaded file but with no success, I assume it was in the Cloud with Samsung otherwise I if I had the downloaded file in my hands so to speak I my have been able to investigate it a little further. If you have any ideas "Prey Tell" Again Thanks for Your Reply and Kind Regards to You!:good:

Hi Joku1981. It's headed as Update Package, 48.5MB in size and its for Improved stability with an option to install now or later. Oh! the updater widget is called, Software update v3_1309_2_1 and v6_1309_3_1 in Titanium.
Ok, so I had a quick question before I do something stupid. I've been trying to install ROMs on my g900v but some fail, and some are successful. I do the same steps with all ROMs; wipe, install, boot. Some of them just won't install.
My question is: Do I have to have matching firmware or kernal installed prior to flashing the ROM for it to install successfully? (i.e. NK2 firmware on my phone would prevent a ROM made with NI2 firmware from installing)

Yes, have to be the same firmware version. You are referring to flashing through safestrap, correct?
Yes, using safestrap. So I have to have the matching firmware flashed before I attempt to flash there ROM? Also do I need to flash the kernel? Or does flashing the firmware include the kernal?

All you have to do is flash the firmware only tar nothing else. When you install whatever rom you want just boot into download mode after you install the rom then flash the firmware in odin. Each rom thread has the installation instructions in the op which should also have a link to the firmware needed for that rom.

Ok, my issue starts before that then. I go to install, we'll say Optimal ROM since that's the last one I had trouble with, and it says failed on the install. I wipe, and I have the proper firmware installed beforehand, but it still fails. I'm stumped.

Don't know why it's failing for you as long as you're doing a full wipe then flashing the rom (make sure the md5 matches on your rom download) then flash the firmware you shouldn't have a problem.

So the md5 for the firmware has to match the md5 for the ROM I'm trying to install? I mean I'm not new to this stuff, but the newer everything gets, the more complicated it gets, ya know. new phone for me and its a little more complicated this time around.

No what i was saying is after you download a rom you should check to make sure the md5 of that rom matches the posted md5 that's under every rom link. If your downloaded rom's md5 doesn't match what's posted then you got a bad download and you'll need to download the rom again till the md5 matches. Im thinking you have a bad download since you're failing installing certain roms. There's a few md5 checkers in the playstore or you can use a file manager like Astro file which i use to check my md5. That's the first place i would start if a rom failed to install.

Hello to everyone,
The other day my brother bring me his samsung galaxy note 3 sm-N9005 and told me that doesn't work, just only can enter in TWRP (v2.8.3.0) or in download mode. I tried to install a rom and update version of TWRP, but always i have the same message:
checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
error flashing zip '/sdcard/TWRP/twrp-2.8.7.0-hlte-4.2-img-zip'
Updating partition details...
.. done
When i try to install a ROM from zip file, i have the same problem
I try to generate a md5 file from zip TWRP in computer and then copy to sd card and install from TWRP by sdcard or internal memory of phone, but always i have the same problem.
I dunno what else do. Please can anyone help me?
thanks

Post does not make much sense.
I suggest flash stock rom via Odin first .
There are some major flaws:
1) There is no Android 4.2-designed TWRP for the phone. You must be using wrong file.
2) Why are you trying to install old version?
3) File name is completely wrongly formatted.
For the solution, I assume the phone has or will be having Android 4.4 KitKat or newer.
You have 2 options here:
1) Download twrp-2.8.7.0-hlte-4.4.zip and install it via current TWRP recovery (can not be done in stock recovery).
2) Download twrp-3.0.2-0-hlte.img.tar and install it via ODIN.
This is the site to find the correct files - https://dl.twrp.me/hlte/
To previous poster - Flashing stock firmware does not help achieve his desired result. Just a waste of time.
continue without installing
Hi Someguyfromhell,
Thanks for reply i have some doubts and questions about you reply, but first of all i want to tell you that i dunno anything about android so when you tell me some words i don't understand i'm iOS user.
In point 1) when you say "there is no Android 4.2 TWRP what do you refer? Because in any moment in my first post i don't say anything about 4.2.
In point 2) when you refer to install old version do you refer about TWRP? Well i tried this one, because new ones i can't install by odin. When i do it, and all process finished, phone don't enter in teamwin option, always reboot.
3) Can you explain to me about why file name is wrongly formatted?
Well i tried to install TWRP 3.0.2 by odin, but as i told you, phone don't enter in TWRP application, just appear in main screen where there is samsung galaxy note 3 SM-N9005:
Recovery booting...
Recovery is not seandroind enforcing
set warranty Bit: recovery
And don't move from this screen...
When you say install TWRP v2.8.7.0 via current TWRP recovery, how is this process? i try to look for in internet, but i didn't find anything. Can you explain to me?
About ROM, well as i told in first post now i don't have anyone, because always appear the error about MD5 and i can't install nothing can you recomend me a ROM and where to download it and how to install of course!
thanks a lot!

I have exactly the same problem. I've watched dozens of videos and even when it shows no md5 file found it still installs. Mine does not I've tried to flash different roms at least 10 times without success. My phone was rooted when I bought it could there be a problem with the routing. Cheers

I don't know where you got such file from though. Does not seem to be an actual zip file if it fails flashing. Or the recovery script is messed up.
TWRP download sites do not have such option at all.

My bad, that feature is only on 2.8.4.0 and newer recoveries. You will have to flash the recovery with ODIN.
What happens if you try to flash a ROM? (which ROM and send logs)
Also, you do not have to create MD5 file. It is there to check for the archive integrity, isn't the reason for flash failing. Has to be another error.
Hi again,
Well i did process about TWRP V2.8.7.0 as you told me by odin and worked well, so now i have this version of TWRP
Thanks.
About ROMs, I downloaded few ones like:
1) N9005XXUGBOA5_N9005XEOGBOA4_XEO.zip
2) SOKP-L-5.1.1-LMY48B-R4.0-OFFICIAL-20150613-hlte
3) XEC-N9005XXUGBOK6-20160122145457.zip
4) N9005XXUGBNL8 5.0.(7z) ---> This one is 7z file where inside have 4 files: AP_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar; BL_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar; CP_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar and CS_OXA_N9005XXUGBNL8_CL3643614_QB3415922_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
And tried to install, by this process:
1.- Copy 1) , 2) and 3) to ROMs to sdcard in PC, 4) ROM i think that is only for Odin, but i dunno how to do it
2.- Ejecute TWRP in phone, I copy 1) , 2) and 3) ROMs from sdcard_external to internal memory of phone in folder sdcard.
3.- In TWRP i go to Install option and choose the ROMs.
Well so I Tried 3 first and only the 2) tell me succesfull, but then not boot roms, appear a message on the top right that says: "kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty Bit: kernel".
with 1) and 3), says me about error, that no MD5:
checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
error flashing zip '/sdcard/N9005XXUGBOA5_N9005XEOGBOA4_XEO.zip'
Updating partition details...
.. done
How i can obtein logs?
Where i can download a good ROM?
thanks again

First and third are zip files, that are not recovery-flashable - inside the archive are the original firmware files that can be flashed via Odin. Only (custom) ROMs, that have recovery-script inside zip file, can be flashed in TWRP.
Hi Everyone,
So My Samsung Tab A 2016 wifi only T580, is literally dead, but not physically, so the problem is exactly the same as Saznat is this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/help/samsung-t580-update-failed-frp-locked-t3914729
My tab is like new not a single scratch on it :crying:
the tab is:
running android 8
frp locked
can't boot into recovery no matter what stock rom I flash, all I get is no command
I can't flash twrp, the tab won't allow it because of frp lock.
any new tricks to try to fix it from the experts will be appreciated

Hello @Leboboy19 ,
Can you try using Odin (newest version ) and flash the original stock rom that you had before messing around with custom rom. make sure to uncheck re-partition. you may have to flash the stock boot and stock recovery .img which you will find on shellbox firmwares.
If that does not work can you try flashing the twrp md5 for that device . let me know

Thanks for your message brother, you reminded me of the tab after giving up on it, after months of trying finally found a fix.
to anyone having this problem:
1. Download your latest stock
2. extract it and swap the recovery.img with a recovery.img from a combination file that matches your binary number
3. Enjoy Your Recovered Tablet or sell it like me:laugh:
