considering the IPS display is good. Also, you get an option to change the display setting to vivid, natural or customized.
I love the natural display option more because the vivid and other option makes the display over bright.
Honor 8x screen is gorgeous, a little light bleed from the notch and the bottom, but otherwise colors and contrast are awesome.

I'm using Standard mode. It has slight blue tint on white. Other than that, the colour is good. HDR10 Youtube videos look really really great. However, I noticed the display will change to max brightness for HDR10 content. I compared it with OnePlus 5T (1080p Super AMOLED but without HDR10 support) display, the difference is insignificant if I also crank OP5T's display to max brightness. Only the really bright scene has more differences.

Dispalymate says it is the best, so What can I say. after I got the phone I have to say they are right
I'm very unimpressed with the screen of the Pixel 3 XL. I actually prefer my Pixel 2 XL because it actually shows accurate red. I just tried a Pixel 3 XL and it didn't matter which color mode I selected reds still looked like a neon sign.

Reds are over saturated in all color modes.

I posted this in the G Stylus forum. Same screen.
Saturation is typical LCD. Even with saturation selected. My previous phone was LG V20 with same kind of screen. With a custom kernel and kcal, I could make it look almost as good as a Samsung. I picked a wallpaper and icons that don't highlight it's LCD weakness. Icon pack is Darko2.
Well, colors are worst ever than. I have another phone Samsung Galaxy A40 and it is way way better, not work choose saturated or natural or boosted. Guess screen quality is selfish. can't say because of LCD, Sony Xperia XZ2 also have LCD, but it is better

Honestly, I'm quite impressed. The redmi 9 changes contrast, temperature and saturation based on the environment, making the image always look the same no matter the place you are in. Example: On a sunny day, the blacker elements of the screen are harder to see when the sun shines directly on the screen, so the firmware compensates by lowering the contrast, so the elements that are black are now more grey. Of course, this feature can be turned off in settings.

I am using this device(Indian Version called Mi 10i) since last 2 days.
Color accuracy in 'Standard mode' is pretty good for an IPS LCD screen,
The screen has a very slight blue tint(am just nit-picking) when you watch a Full white background picture.
Don't expect pure white and very good colors like on a screen with 100% DCI-P3 color space.
