How/where do u change your phone's identity from apps? - LeEco Le Pro3 Questions & Answers

I did a factory reset yet a certain app still recognizes me, so can't be the device ID it sees. My other guess is the IMEI that's saved in the phone, even though it has no sim card anymore, but I don't know how/where to change that. Any other IDs that apps can use to recognize a phone? I'm running Oreo 8.1.

Its happens via Google sync.
Many of us consider setting restoration to be a good thing. But, If you do not not want sync, do a full clean wipe, including format storage ( Note: When formatting storage you must immediately reboot to Recovery and click boxes if present to permanently install Twrp)
After install, you could choose to not backup from cloud and then afterwards, then go to accounts and uncheck whatever, you do not want syncing.
Another option is to flash your Rom and choose to not flash Gapps at all.
You can install apps anonymously using Yalp store via XDA labs.
You can also use Micro G : Here is a page that has links to Micro G and various other excellent apps.: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/themes/list-favorite-applications-oneplus-5t-t3739134

Actually, not saying that ur wrong because I'm sure it happens, but I found out that it was Facebook. Not really sure how embedded that can get into your phone. Before the factory reset, I had 2 Google accounts on the phone, my main one and an old backup on. I only put my main account on that phone for 1 game so I could play on either phone. But it was never my Google account it uses to save on their cloud, it's Facebook; for logging in you get bonus coin gifts from your friends, but I guess it uses that for game syncing. Because after the reset, I only added my backup Google account to that phone, yet after downloading the game again, it immediately started me off on my game that is normally on this phone, even though I wasn't logged in Facebook yet and it told me to login to get coin gifts. So I logged in with my Facebook that I never use that has the same email as my bbackup Google account, and that's when it restarted a new game for me.

How can I unsynchronize my gmail with my G1?

I'm going to guess it is with a hard reset, but I don't want to mess with all the apps I downloaded. I was able to delete all my contacts so it is fine, but I'm thinking it might automatically sync up with my gmail and download my contacts or erase my contacts online after I sell the phone. What are my options?
or maybe I can set it to a different gmail, but how do I do that? Or maybe it is really simple, just change the password on my gmail account, that should work right?
Ok, changing my password worked, but now it seems to be stuck on asking for my password, but not giving the next person the option to change accounts, or how can I manually change it to a different gmail?
if you want to remove your details before selling the phone, try a factory reset. or you can go into the google app data in the applications management and clear the data there.
Yeah, I was able to clear all data, but was just concerned the phone would have my gmail password and access my data again so changing the password worked. It just got stuck asking for my password when I pretended to want to add phone number by syncing. I'm rebooting now too see what it asks for now.
But I guess there is no way to connect it to another gmail account without doing a factory reset? Doesn't a factory reset eliminate all the programs I installed that are non market? I can reinstall, but if I sell it to a noob they might have a problem.
Are you rooted? If so, there should be a setting in the development app to unsync with google. (I might be wrong though, deleted the app, lol).

AFAIK, that's a deliberate feature so that you can't pay for an app on one account and sign in with it on multiple phones, then unsync and keep the apps (thereby stopping people from getting apps from their friends for free).
Dude wtf? Just do a hard reset and it will ask you to log back into google. As long as you DON'T log back in, what on earth makes you think it's going to sync your contacts back up?

WTF r3s-rt!! wanna make something out of it, hehe jk. I guess you weren't reading the posts. It was already taken care of with changing my password in the edit. Also, I'm guessing you're a noob and don't realize a hard reset will put it into it's factory settings and I specifically said when selling it, I didn't want to give them a phone with nothing on it. It's all set up with wifi tether and a bunch of other cool things. I'll let the new buy purchase and decide what they want to do. Also, yes if just deleting all the info and not changing my password, but leaving it linked to my google it would indeed sync to my gmail if the new user so chose. I killed to birds by simply changing my gmail password. Of course it wouldn't sync after doing a hard reset, wtf!! geez

Most Rom's let you skip the signing google part, but it wont let you download anything from the market so you can install via adb

Will the new user not therefore be able to use their own Gmail without losing the apps you installed?

Android Market auto - installing apps from older build

Hello guys
I've been trying few builds of android and install apps from the market.
When switching to a new build, I link my phone with a googlemail account so all the contacts are restored.
Unfortunately also ALL the apps are sync, downloded and installed aswell from the market, without asking me anything. I do not want this to happen.
This happen everytime, no matter whichever build I was using.
Searched first in google, then in xda but didn't find anything. Does it happen only to me? xD
has anyone got a solution?
thx
I don't know how to get rid of this problem, but it's normal, so you're not the only one. The apps you have downloaded in the market are safed in your google account, because some people have purchased apps and don't want to buy them again..
ok
fair enough then.. cheers
Hmm.. Maybe there is a solution. I never tried, but it may work.
After setting up your phone (the first thing you have to do when you boot a new build) go at first to settings > Accounts & synchronization. Sorry dunno how it's spelled in Englisch, using my phone in German There go to your Google Account and remove the ticks at contacts, mail and calendar. Then go to your market and accept the license agreement.
It could be that the market now doesn't install your apps because you don't sync your google account anymore. But if you're using this account for mail and so on this is no option, will see if I find another possibility.
Edit: Found another solution that worked for other users. In a German forum they told you have to skip the setup at the beginning, go directly to settings > SD-Card & Telephone Memory (something like that) and do a factory reset. Then boot again and the market won't install anything. If this doesn't work try to set up your phone at the beginning and do a factory reset then.
That's all I've found. Now I'm out. Tell me if it worked
Cheers

I realised that it only installs the programs that you had installed in the last build.
Therefore all the apps I removed won't sync..
I probably had a bug in my last build that blocked google to complete sync.. damn xD
However my internet is not that fast as I live in the middle of farms & field, so I'm gonna download all the .apk from internet; then I will put them in the folder Android Apps and the new build just install them on the first boot.
But thanks for your research, I may use it later on.. you never know.
Cheers
merry xmas
turn off Google backup, in settings as well as when FIRST setting up Android after hitting the Android on the first screen. One of the few first things is Google Backup, for apps and bookmarks. Disable this.

Unable to download from Android Market Place

Hi,
I am unable to download anything from Market Place.
Whenever I want to download anything from Market Place, the tab will show "Download".
However, even when I press download, I was always prompted the error message, "Error proccessing purchase". I would like to state that I am downloading free app, not paid app.
I have to do a workaround, by going to web-based Market Place to "Install" the app.
Afterwhich, when I go back to my Market Place, the same app which I had problem downloading would be shown "Install", instead of "Download".
And when I click on "install", the download will go through with nowproblem.
At the same time, I have no problem updating all my exisitng apps.
I have tried clearing the data, but the problem still persist.
May I know what would happen if I do a factory reset?
Can I do a Titanium Backup and do a factory reset after that?
And if a factory reset, doesn't help, I'll just restore my system data.
Thanks guys, hope someone can help.
Are you on the stock Rom?
This has happened to me also, a solution (that didn't work for me) was to remove your google account, clear the cache and market data, then re-add your google account. I still have the problem but I have a google account and a google apps account, when the downloads don't work on my google account, I just use my google apps account.
I had this happen too, I did the same as the above post^
The market has been acting up the last few days...I guess they are getting ready for the ICS release...coming in the next few weeks...

I've not noticed any problems lately (beyond the usual having to refresh a few times to get a page to load, and having to power cycle or disconnect and reconnect wifi to get an app to start installing).
I had this exact issue about 5 weeks ago.
After exchanging emails with Google Tech folks, it was determined that my Google Talk account had logged out.
They said that your market is tied to your google talk account.
I went through, deleted everything, re-added my google account, and made sure the GTalk was working, and bam, market began working.
I have a google apps account too.
Thanks guys for the response.
I tried removing my google account, cleared the cache and data, and re-added my google account, it still failed to work.
This is really frustrating. However, I was able to download Angry Bird Rios just now.
The funny thing was, the tab was showing "Install", instead of the usual "Free".
I am thinking that the probable reason why it was showing "Install", instead of "Free" was because I used to have this game in my account.

but i am still getting nowhere with all the solutions provided.
jus tried to log in the my google talk account, it's still the same.
now i am seeing viber with the "Install" tab on my Market, whereas the rest of the other apps are showing "Free".
I had the same issue, and the only way I was able to fix it was with a factory reset. I backed up all of my non-system apps with Titanium Backup, then wiped my data. When going back to restore apps and data, just let the Market re-download any apps you have backed up to your account, and use Titanium Backup only to restore the missing apps and data.
That would be my next suggestion. Complete backup, wipe, and reinstall. Once reinstalled, be careful not to click install more than once on an app -- this seems (to me) to cause instability. If an app doesn't start installing a few seconds after you hit the install button, disconnect and reconnect your wifi. If that doesn't clear it (although it always does, for me) an alternate method is to completely cold-boot the tablet.

google play

How can i delete my device from list in google play? once I logged in to my group email from college and now every one can install any app on my phone -_- there is only option to delete device from list but anyone can again turn it on.
unfortunately you cant at the moment. you can hide them from the list, but thats pretty useless.
You can however go into Settings>Google>Click on gmail>menu>remove account. This will make it so that people cant install apps on the phone, but it will still show up in the list.
-_- rly? it's good to know that ~100people can install apps on my phone
What is more funny? i can install apps on my all old phones that i sold and there is no way to contact with google.
ok I did a full wipe, and now the phone is on the list, but you can not install anything on it

It would only install them if the device was still connected to your account. As for your phone, go to Play Store and select the account you want it linked to. My old Nexus S still shows up in Play, but the phone in now connected to my wife's Gmail account, so only apps installed from her account make it to the phone.
that did not work in my case. I removed the account from the phone, even with that i could install apps on my phone.

Skipped copy from old phone on setup, now can't get it any more

Hi!
I had lots of trouble with my S7edge and did lots of flashing and resetting. At some point on 6.0.1 after factory reset I went quickly through the initial screens and was very surprised to get at some point a long list of accounts offered that I could transfer to this phone (they are not showing in my Google account now, it was Yahoo and such things). Those accounts were from an older Galaxy on the same account. I skipped that and wanted to use it later.
Now I updated to 8.0.0 and even on inital setup such a screen or offer never showed.
Any idea where I could find this? The strange thing is that I had Google cloud copies disabled wherever I could but assumed to have surely missed to deactivate sometime somewhere. Since the phone was totally wiped multiple times this data can only have come from the one Google account I used. But if I go to e.g. restore contacts it is empty as expected.
Where did Google/the phone find this rather exhaustive list of accounts from my other phone?
Google backups can only be restored on setup. So you have to factory reset to get those options again.

Oh wow - another fail there. The thing is I did not notice that option on the last reset after installing an Oreo system. Any reason why it wasn't offered? I think I removed the google account before upgrade and did the initial setup with signing up so as to not run into more trouble with FRP. So I guess not signing in with a google account in the setup screens - but hitting skip - will cancel any chance of restoring?

If you factory reset again, since there's no Google account on the phone if I understand you correctly, it will ask you again on setup. Don't you have other backups?
Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
It's not about backups, I just wondered why it offered me restore in the first place despite me thinking all cloud backup was disabled. But then when I actually wanted to try and see what is backed up I can't without resetting the phone again. And I'm even doubtful it will ask again as it did not ask after the last ROM upgrade.
