Okay first post on this website.
4.4.2, i9505
So, as i am a compete android n00b, i rooted my s4 with the KingoRoot tool as i thought it was an easy method, later i found out ChainFire made an easy auto root .
After i rooted with the kingo my device would randomly reboot, when i called someone, when i locked my phone and random stages throughout the day.
After some reading online i found the solution was to re-flash my phone to stock fireware. so i downloaded odin, drivers, fireware from sam and tried to re-flash it. however my phone failed after aboot.mbn. I then got the unexpected error saying the phone had to be plugged into kies etc.
I then used "philz_touch_6.07.9-i9300.tar.md5" to get rid of the error message which worked. however the phone still would radnomly restart.
Again i turnrf to the web to find a solution for the radnom booting and found this -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2514703
telling me to delete everythinhg knox basically. after deleting everything outlined my phone is now stuck on the samsung logo.
i cannot access recovery mode! however can access download mode. but i have tried multiple times to re-flash to stock firmware to no avail...
Help, please
Recap
- Stuck on samsung logo
- Cant access recovery mode
- Can access download mode
- Deleted everything knox as specified
Thanks, Dylan
1. The error that give u ODIN is coz you are trying to flash an older firmware that the one you have installed in your device.
2. You have to flash a STOCK recovery. Flash this file via ODIN in PDA/AP (like in the pic 1 attached): HERE.
3. Turn off your device manually when the process finish. Boot it into STOCK RECOVERY by pressing and holding Volume Up, Home and Power.
4. Take a look the CSC (pic 2). "Applied the CSC-code: ............" <- This is your REAL CSC. Turn off your device again manually and boot it into DOWNLOAD MODE by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power.
5. Go to Sammobile and download the LATEST firmware for your device with correct CSC and flash it via ODIN.
6. About KNOX and reboots: Delete all KNOX reminds less "Lib = libknox_encryption.so".
7. Good luck
1. Make a backup of your phone using whatever recovery means you’d like.
2. Install Odin
3. Install Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones
4. Install DFS CDMA Tool
5. Flash Stock NAE Rom following the instructions listed in that thread.
6. Flash MDC Modem with phone in recovery mode using Odin placing the file in “Phone” slot.
7. Flash TWRP Recovery using Odin in the PDA slot to enable flashing of CFW after completed.
8. Launch into recovery mode (hold vol up, menu, power) clear dalvik/cache (possibly format) and install SuperSU on exit.
9. Boot phone and run setup, connect to Wifi.
10. Install SPC Utility apk and run to retrieve your SPC code. Requires internet access.
11. Install Sprint Samsung Unlocker and run to SIM unlock your phone.
This should bring you to a fresh rooted SIM unlocked stock SPH-L720 on 4.4.3.
If you've used my tutorial, please assist me here by helping me with an NV file!
Thanks!

1)To be say honestly downgrading is not officially supported by Samsung also But yes you can successfully downgrade to 6.0.1 from 7.0 (I personally downgraded to 6.0.1 once successfully due to issues on stock 7.0)
2)You only need to follow the guide as instructed carefully Also the version of 6.0.1 MM you will choose to downgrade to should be latest dated (I mean the latest 6.0.1 firmware for your device and country available on Sammobile.com casually)
3)Hence you can find some instructions within my own Post in which i mentioned step by step installations instructions (Go To Page No 65 And Find My Post In Reply To Okiera29 There Regarding Downgrading To MM From Nougat)

Ok thank you for your reply, I understand. I also had some trouble with drk verity fail issue when I factory reset because I run into issue with my efs, it was failing to boot ,but after searching the internet I found out how to fix the efs issue and then I flash stock over and then run into trouble with drk verity fail issue, but found a script to bypass this error ,but I read that whenever I flash or factory reset I will run into this drk verity fail issue again, so I must flash this script to bypass this error.
So my question after all i have explain is, will it be a problem to downgade to 6.0 because of those previous issues ?

1)Can't say exactly without trying or downgrading firmware as i said already neither samsung nor any community will officially support downgrading of firmware as it may cause various baseband and imei related issues due to downgrading of bootloader
2)But for safety you can take full Nandroid backup of your current stable rom using TWRP and Try to downgrade firmware at your own risk

What version of Smart Switch offers initialization for SM-N920C Note 5's? The latest version doesn't include initialization anymore at all, and an older version I tried stated that initialization was not supported for Note 5's.
All right, I'll see what i do.
Thank you very much.
Hi!
I am newbies to all of these but I will try to explain.

I have Nokia5 with android Oreo and I want to root it so I browse a lots of tutorial with zero prior knowledge and follow them.
1. I downgrade to nougat by following LinkA and LinkB <-- I use rom A02 from this guide.
2. enter download mode on my phone
3. unlock bootloader temporarily by using "Unlock Bootloader.bat" from the script mentoined in this guide LinkC
4. flash TWRP v3.2.3, v3.3.1 img files-- > I tried both but none of them work
The problem is after I flash it using "twrp flashing.bat" from the same script. I pressed power up and power button together until the phone vibrate but it just boot to the default rom that I downgraded to.
How can I boot to the newly installed TWRP recovery ?
Moreover, I can't enable USB debugging because I can't skip checking for update screen in default rom. Nokia want me to upgrade to Pie or whatever their latest version is. I tried removing sim/disconnecting wifi but it won't work. The only way I can access the phone right now is to update to Pie which is opposite to what I have been trying to do.
Edited : I tried updating as system suggested but it won't start. I am unable to use this phone now T_T
Edited 2 : I tried to flash new nb0 rom but I can't access recovery mode. It's all black. I don't know what to do now it's dead end pls help!
Anyway to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance
