SM-J510FN recovery mode gone. - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

so i followed guide, where u use odin to install twrp, and then to root the phone, i used odin twrp installation passed in few seconds, and then when i tried booting recovery mode, it said downlaoding, and then no command.
Any suggestions on what i should do ?
Phone works normally, its just the recovery mode gone.
Thank you in advance.

Flash stock ROM again and flash TWRP again it worked for me but flash the CORRECT firmware or your problem will get worse (i have J510MN)

Make sure you have OEM unlock in developer options if so and still the same flash a different twrp recovery version.

On odin you need to turn off auto reboot
---------- Post added at 05:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:21 PM ----------
And when you finish flashing twrp you need to remove battery and boot to twrp, then you can boot to it normally

How to boot into TWRP recovery mode from Phone OFF state

I cannot figure out how to boot into recovery from phone off state. If I go to ROM Toolbox pro and reboot that way into recovery, then it works fine, but NOT from phone off state. Thanks.
Press/hold vol down + press/hold power will get you to the bootloader, then select recovery from there.

Got, it. Reinstalling recovery from Goomanager, worked. For whatever reason, my recovery was repalced or gone.

Hey the same thing is happening to me as I am using my Nexus 5. Can you please show me how to do what you did to find this. I cannot boot into recovery. When I try installing TWRP from GooManager it just says it will download but it never does and then after a while the app shuts down. I tried flashing clockwork mod recovery from Rom Manager and it downloads all the way and than says that a problem occured. Can somebody please help me with my situation. When I press the power button and the volume down button and it brings me to the bootloader and i navigate to recovery, it just brings an android guy with a red triangle. please help me. I just want a custom recovery. I don't care what it is. Either TWRP or clockwork mod.

Hello forum peoples. Recently I have tried to flashthe paranoid android firmware using flasherfy. I have twrp installed but idk if I was supposed to do with it. My phone is now in a boot loop because of my attempted flash. Please help me fix this. I am able to boot into both firmware update mode and factory reset mode. For the factory reset mode I am able to boot into the reset mode but as soon as I try to wipe it just reboots again. I have tried to use the lg firmware update tool using com5 and com41 and using both they stop at 49% and the phone just disconnects from the program/computer. Help Please! !

For stock recovery, yes you'll see that screen. On that screen all you have to do is press power button and then press volume up (just one quick press) and it will take you into recovery menu.

Flash TWRP with Odin.
As soon as it's flashed, pull out your battery, then put your battery back in.
Hold home and volume up and power to boot into twrp.
This Has to be immediately after you flash TWRP.

Reflash your stock rom, make sure the version of TWRP you are using is compatible with your phone then repeat my instructions.
It's the correct way to install twrp so either your using the wrong version for your phone or there's an issue with Odin.

I have the solution!! Turn off Auto-Reboot in Odin [I think in Options tab or just locate the option]
Flash the TWRP
Once its done, the download mode will still stay on the screen [Only make sure its done by checking on ODIN]
Power Button + Vol. Up + Home button for atleast 10-15 seconds
YOU GOT IT!!

Definitely the safer way!
You could also just pull and reinsert the battery before the phone is able to boot.

Galaxy s7 edge odin fail

Hi Guys
please anyone help me. i think i have lost my phone.
after i had installed custom kernel i wanted to flash the stock boot. img file what extracted from ap.tar.md5
Now i have a phone what doesnt boot into recovery or system, only or in download mode.
When i want to flash the stock ap&bl&cp&csc file i have a message from odin: "fail" and it says deviceInfo.
Please help me if anyone can
thank you very much
Are you sure that you have the good stock files ?
And you have to flash your old kernel

Thanks.
But how to flash my ol kernel?
i can boot only on download mod.
odin always say: FAIL(DEVICEinfo)
Does odin fail when you start the process or after flashing ?
Try to find your stock kernel on internet

It always fails before flashing process.
It seems to start the flashing method but after 4-5 second it says fail.
i didnt find any stock kernel to my nougat galaxy s7 edge.
i hope that i didnt destroy my phone totally.
You can't boot to twrp right ?
Because your kernel is on the "boot.img", you have to flash it.

I had the exact same problem and was having the same error even trying to flash stock form Odin.
Solution:
Restart Odin
Boot into TWRP
Boot back to Download mode but from TWRP not from the button combo
Flash stock ROM (available from Sammobile) through Odin
That worked and I didn't lose anything but of course it will overwrite TWRP.

Ah yes ok I misread. I want to say it would work even if you went directly to download mode, but if it doesn't, I would try flashing TWRP again after killing all involved processes.
Solution here
https://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38591
Code:
2) Boot into download mode by pressing ( power + volume down + Bixby button) and stop at the screen of continue and reboot.
Press volume down to restart phone
Quickly boot back into download mode by pressing (power + volume down + Bixby button)
Press continue
Congratulations fully working now
3) Install firmware with Odin
4) Wait for the firmware to be installed
5)Ready)))

Can't Launch TWRP on my SM-N910k "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"

I followed the step for flashing the TWRP tar file, I uncheck the auto reboot from options.
And when ODIN says it PASS. I remove the battery and then directly boot to recovery using the Power+Home+VolDown but when it boots it says "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING"
When I flash the CF auto root in my device it all went out well and my device is already rooted.
What should I do? I need twrp to install Custom Rom.
I am able to boot normally.
Im using Odin v3.10.7 and flashing the twrp-3.1.1-0-treltexxx.img.tar
Im running android 6.0.1
Thank you.
you try pressing volume up+homebutton+power with phone off, it will take about 1 min but it wil enter on twrp, the red llabel "recovery is not..." is only a warning

I'm not having any error when flashing TWRP tar in odin and I've tried different versions of it, I'm sure that I chose the right Tar file for my device. Yes I find this really weird why I cant boot to TWRP recovery so I decided to use and stick with CWM recovery, finally I'm done flashing the ROM I want. Thanks for your help tho.
I have been having this problem for ages. Only Philz recovery (link) and CWM clockworkmod recovery work... TWRP does as he described, gets stuck on booting into recovery with that red warning infinitely...

I tried searching Korean forums and blogs and found this recovery from this source.
It is working for me. FINALLY. Flash it using odin 3.11.3 just by clicking AP and selected that .tar.md5 file I linked.

Hi bro. İ have same problem 8 months ago and i know this fix.
First. Sorry for my bad english.
You must wait the battery fully discharge. Because you cant make anything now.
When fully discharged phone. You plug charge and press wolume down+power+home. You can go to download mode this way. You must flash the original firmware via odin.
And if you want flash twrp again this step is required.
Go Settings page in odin and untick the auto reboot.
And manually go to recovery mode by download menu after install.

Ok, do the 3button combination as if you are booting into download mode. As soon as screen goes black, keep power and home key pressed down but move to volume up. You have to be quick before it boots to download. This will get you to recovery.
