Hi. First i want to say is sorry for my bad english.
I unlocked the bootloader of my g6 and i have flashed Twrp recovery, but when i try to go to recovery mode i have this messege : " your device cannot be checked for corruption . please lock the bootloader ".
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this because i want to flash custom roms but i cant because i cant go to recovery mode..
Help me please.
Sorry if there was a topic like this, but i can not find a solution to this problem.
Now i see when i go to ADB folder and write the command " adb reboot recovery " after the reboot it says " No Command " and i cant do nothing .. I cant flash.

If you mean this screen ^ that is a normal screen that appears, with every power up / restart, after the bootloader has been unlocked.
I think of it as a "red badge of courage".
As to the question about adb commands, what is it that you are trying to accomplish?
Some more information is needed to help you.
What is your model (h870, us997)?
Are you sure you properly installed twrp (reboot to bootloader, fastboot flash recovery twrp.img)?
Which version of twrp did you use (official, Melina, eliminater's (recommended))?
Regarding your adb problem - do you fail to reboot to recovery using adb from within? Have you tried to turn it off and on again?? I mean, turn it off and try the button combination to enter recovery (turn on holding vol- and power, when logo appears, release power and quickly press again and keep holding both until "factory reset", confirm twice).
Information is key!
PS as the previous poster wrote - if you unlock your bootloader you get the warning screen, just ignore it.

the "your device cannot be checked for corruption" screen is normal, it happens when you unlock the bootloader, no issue there, in order to install TWRP you must:
1. plug your phone in and type 'adb reboot-bootloader' to boot into fastboot mode
2. flash the twrp image via 'fastboot flash recovery TWRPIMAGENAME.img'
3. This is important!: type 'fastboot reboot' and hold the rear button and volume down during the shutdown!, when the LG logo shows up quickly release JUST the rear button and press/hold it again, you should see a factory reset prompt screen, press yes both times, and you should be dumped into TWRP, at this point you can reboot from within TWRP and you should be fine.
Explanation:
the stock LG rom with overwrite the recovery if it determines it has been changed, by booting to TWRP before booting the ROM, TWRP will modify the ROM to stop it from overwriting the recovery allowing TWRP to stay after booting.
I hope this helps

THANK YOU SO MUCH .. It works .. The problem was in the buttons.
I have another problem.. When i try to go to recovery..the only what i see is the logo of TWRP and then the phone just reboot and i cant do nothing.. The phone is h870. What i have to do to have normal TWRP because i want to root it..
Try another twrp version. For Oreo afaik only Melina and Eliminater (which is a continuation of Melina) work. I recommend Eliminater's version, it's up to date (v3.2.3) and backup works - at least for me. I'm on H870 Oreo 20b.
For Nougat I have no experience, as I got my phone recently and never downgraded. But as I understand it from others' experiences, for full custom ROM functionality (e.g. fingerprint) Nougat bootloader is preferable. Search the forum, the information is there!

TIP: if your moto e is currently rooted and you're using kitkat then I recommend you to install Lollipop on your phone.(it's awesome I tried it) follow this guide here: Here's How I Upgraded from Kitkat4.4 to Lollipop5.1 with working GravityBox (xposed)

"So I decided to make a thread for explanation."
1. Bootloader must be unlocked. if not, Unlock the bootloader from here
(a). Download the CWM 6.0.4.9 recovery For MOTO E. this recovery is required temporary for flashing "SuperSU".
(b). So download UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip
(c). Download the latest TWRP Recovery TWRP 2.7.2.0 V2.2. this will be your new default recovery.
STEPS:-
1. Copy "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip" into the phone's SD card (could be internal memory)
2. Boot into bootloader (switch off the phone -> hold volume down+power button for 6 seconds -> release the buttons and wait for 1 second)
3.Connect USB to phone in bootloader menu.
4.Copy "cwm 6.0.4.9_recovery.img" (downloaded from step a) and "moto_e_twrp2.7.2.0_v2.2.img" (downloaded from step c) to "adb folder" in desktop.
5. First, we have to flash CWM recovery so that we can flash SuperSU. Enter in cmd
Code:
fastboot flash recovery cwm6. 0.4.9_recovery
it will give an error like "mismatched partition size(recovery)" but it's normal
Now press the volume down once(move to recovery) then volume up(to select) and wait till shows this
wait some more and there you are in CWM recovery.
6. Choose "install from sdcard" and select "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip" downloaded in (b) step.
[*NOTE*
>>CWM recovery itself has a rooting menu item, it'll be displayed when you want to reboot. It'll ask if it should root the device - but it won't work.So You should go the SuperSU way.]
>>When you select a CWM reboot after applying SuperSU, CWM displayed "root access may have been lost - fix?". Please select "No", it'll work fine]
7.After installation of SuperSU you can reboot the device. Since now we have rooted the device by flashing SuperSU,we can install the TWRP Touch recovery. repeat 2. and 3. step
8. Enter in cmd:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery moto_e_twrp2.7.2.0_v2.2.img
it will give same error as in step 5 but that's normal. Now you have successfully installed the TWRP recovery.
To go into recovery you have to select volume up button (instead of power button like in most HTC phones).
Bonus:To remove the unlocked bootloader message you see everytime you boot your moto e follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52692225&postcount=2

Well there is already a "How to root" thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755336
Besides this is again a "how to" thread. Should be in general section. It has no development. So please report your thread and request to move it.
Also, 2 recoveries are not needed to root. Either of those 2 is enough.

CWM link is down, Please make a mirror and better upload it at a host which does not put bandwidth or download cap!
Recommendations would be Google Drive, Dev-Host, Mega etc.
Also For the CWM, where did you find a working version for moto E?
I'd like to visit the source!

None of the ways are working after OTA update to 4.4.4
After updating my Moto E to 4.4.4 today, I tried to root it. I tried both the ways (with TWRP and with CWM) but not together.
The results are disappointing.
When I used the "only boot with recovery" option (fastboot boot recovery....img), I got a frozen white screen with the Moto logo in the center the instant I issued the fastboot command. Nothing else happened.
When I used the "flash recovery" option (fastboot flash recovery recovery....img) and tried to load the recovery I just flashed, I got a small graphic in the center with "No Command" written at the bottom. Nothing else happened.
I'm still trying, will update if situation improves...
Update: Finally CWM worked. I started from the beginning, followed the steps and I now have root.
Warning:
1. CWM recovery itself has a rooting menu item, displayed when you want to reboot. It asks if it should root the device - but doesn't work. You should go the SuperSU way.
2. When you select a CWM reboot after applying SuperSU, CWM displayed "root access may have been lost - fix?". I selected "No" and it worked fine.

** boot ** means you are just using the recovery untill next boot, so to install recovery permanently you have to flash with ** flash** method.you can choose to flash the cwm recovery too (instead of twrp) )after rooting the phone.

okay hello people.
here is my situation.
i was about to revert back to kitkat from ED300 CM12.1, and i suddenly wipe off and formatted my internal storage.
and now ofcourse i cant boot in and what i did was trying to reinstall TWRP through fastboot and minimal adb from PC.
*i tried to flash Lenovo_A6000_TWRP-3.0.2-0_x64-L_by_SevenMaxs
*i cant go into download mode (vol+,vol-,power) button.
so i went to fastboot mode (vol-,power) button until the 'powerkey long press can reboot phone' appear , and i plug in my phone to pc and when i type in command for -adb devices, no device appear.
figure out it was okay, i go ahead and proceed with - fastboot boot recovery.img command.
then it shows
FAILED (remote: dtb not found)
and im stuck there. idk what else to do, which guide to follow to bring my phone back to life.
i have did hours of searching but nothing works. really need a magic here.
thanks guys for ur time

BTW if "fastboot devices" not showing any devices then try to properly install fastboot on computer."fastboot boot twrp.img" is command for boot the twrp without flashing.
try "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" .

Here is the possibilities:-
1)May be fastboot is not properly installed .I gave a link in the previous post for that. "device not found" that shouldn't be appear.
2)Try vol+ +power button
3)Try if stock recovery can be flashed by fastboot.Link.if can be then let me know.
4)If not then run this command in adb
Code:
adb shell
ls -al /dev/block/platform/dw_mmc/by-name
and give a screen shot.
Did you flash kitkat ROM after this or before this fuss?
If Yes, then you need to flash TWRP for kitkat firmware.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8_p5nNeW71VRFZnc3cwb2hLR28/view?usp=sharing
download the above recovery and download flashify from playstore . Flash the recovery that you downloaded from above link with flashify and reboot and in the next step you will be in the recovery
Try this

Try to boot it again in the full system and from there try to unlock your bootloader.
If you done that, reinstall the software.
How can I unlock bootloader without fastboot? If I attempt to enter fastboot or anything that requires reboot I end up on that screen.
Hmm....
Have you tried rebooting to fastboot using adb?

Hello
tested with the toolkit 0.0.0.12.
to see if he recognizes the phone.
he should at least write your serial number.
if that is the case.
you can use DC-unlocker. to open FRP and can be the bootloader.
just an idea.
Dc unlocker needs cash and it doesn t always work.
I am doubting buying DC,unlocker in case,it doesn't work and I will lose money.... I will try toolkit.
3 button upgrade doesn't work either.
I have the same problem after I tried to relock my bootloader using SRKToolHuawei-STABLE-V1.3-20160619 with my bootloader code.
Have you found a solution?
I can boot back into os b394 after I let the battery run out to 0%
I haven't found a way to repair my recovery and fastboot yet because rebooting into fastboot always get's me back to that first error
Func NO: 11 (recovery image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
Then I have to wait for my battery to run out again
Any help to get fast boot and a working recovery back would be appreciated.

I got stock recovery back with the warning that my device is unlocked. Now I get stuck at 'Your device is booting now'. After some time it reboots and opens eRecovery which I cannot use.
How do I get anything on my phone to continue with dload and which firmware would you advice me to flash if I finally get there.
Should I, if even possible at the moment, choose an older firmware version?
Edit: Would the original service rom help? Found it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/help/original-service-rom-huawei-p9-lite-vns-t3688120 but my build number seems too high as the version I need only mentions b381 and b383 not the 394 I currently have..
Same problem for me

I also put the update.app to dload folder on sd card but update system is not starting i press volume up and down and power button at same time but is not working.I tried also with huawei multitool but is not working is not recognize my device. Please guys is any other solution to fix this ?Thank You!
I just fixed after power off device and then press volume down and plug the usb cable to pc and i was able to recognize my device and i have use huawei multiTool to unbrick my tablet media pad m3 and has work.
Almost the same problem, help please!!!
Hi guys someone can help me? I have a Honor 9 lite(LLD-L31). Android version 8.0
I apologize but I'm a new user and i don't have much practice with modding in general.
I tried to install root permission in my device. I get bootloader unlock code by DC-unlocker and installed TWPR on my device.
When i went in recovery the error " Failed to unmount '/system'(Device or resource busy)" rushed, so I tried to format data in order to give partition available. I tried again to flash file.zip but the search was empty so I downloaded a most recent version(3.2.3) of TWPR in recovery ramdisk.
Now if i try to log into recovery mode appear the same error (Error! func NO 11 / NO 2).
I can do everything aside going in recovery mode. How can I resolve it? Is it possible to reset to factory settings and try again?
I hope I have explained well the problem.

Could you write down the steps you took to get back in fastboot for me? I'm having troule geting there myself after draining battery.
I fixed it after nothing else here worked.
So this is mostly so I dont ever forget the solution again, but also to possibly help others.
I also have to say that I had the problem with an P8 Lite, but all my problems matched almost exaclty, so It might help you too.
And a third disclaimer: I have no idea if you can flash the stock firmware without having the bootloader unlocked.
If you dont have it unlocked, try this wonderful updated guide: [Links are disabled for me so google this: "Droidhunter unlock huawei bootloader" and pick the article by droithunter.com]
And yes DC-Unlocker, suprisingly actually works (at least for me) and buying their bootloader unlock code was worth the 4 bucks.
So here is the solution:
1. Somehow, however needed get into fastboot. As I couldn't use the volume/power key combo myself, I somehow force reset the phone, pressing various buttons until I managed to boot into it again. I then used the adb bridge to boot into fastboot (google how to connect adb, then use "adb reboot bootloader" to get into the fastboot menu).
2. Download your phone models default stock rom/Update.app (also google that).
3. Extract the Update.app file.
4. Download and use the HuaweiUpdateExtractor tool and open the Update.app file (google again helps).
5. Select the "09.recovery.img" entry (the one with the green arrow on the left), rightclick and select "extract selected" and save it somewhere where you can find it.
6. Open your Fastboot console on PC (its often the same as the ADB console used before, especially if you use Minimal Fastboot and ADB, which I would recommend).
7. Make sure your phone is in Fastboot mode (not recovery) and connected to the pc.
7.1 Make sure your bootloader is unlocked. It might work with a locked one because youre just flashing stock firmware but eh might break more. Its worth the 4 bucks to unlock the bootloader first. (and yes DC unlocker looks super sketchy but somehow it actually worked for me and wasnt a scam).
8. Flash a custom recovery onto the phone (pretty much the same way you flash twrp, but instead of the twrp image you use the .img file you just extracted from the Update.app; Also dont try flashing twrp directly, it will probably not work).
The command to do so is: "fastboot flash recovery [filepath to the .img file without the brackets]".
9. Use the command "fastboot reboot".
10. If your phone doesnt boot normally, use the key combinations to get into the normal recovery screen and recover from a file or whatever (other guides should work from here).
Extra Steps:
As my recovery image was obviously so broken that even flashing twrp on top of it didnt work until I flashed the original reovery image, I went into my phones settings and did a factory reset. Directly after I installed twrps (see google) and set it up so it had full control. Afterwards I rooted and installed LinageOS cause frick EMUI rn).
Hope this helps anyone. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
Hello all,
I need help with my Axon 7 (A2017G)
I upgraded my phone to Oreo 8.1 (AospExtended), played with it a bit, but decided to downgrade to 7.1.1 (stock) again.
After I did so, I noticed something different. Firstly when it boots up, this screen appears
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It goes away after 5 seconds and boots or if I click the vol up or down button, it takes me to this screen
If I choose anything other than Recovery, the phone just boots up
If I choose Recovery, it takes me here
I cannot boot into recovery mode at all. I can't find out how to install TWRP recovery on here at all.
Also If i boot using power+vol down, this appears
Please advise how to install TWRP and lock the bootloader
Have you tried the Axon 7 tool by Djkuz?
It should be able to get you out of this, I'll find the link for you.

that is, like, 100% normal. you have stock recovery and that FTM mode just gives you adb. If you can't enter fastboot then you would have to install it via EDL.
But before doing that, why the heck would you want to lock the bootloader? Lol you can just hide the 5 sec screen and sell it (or return to zte, they never check), there's no difference at all
If you're gonna lock anyways, you have to install TWRP via EDL (use EDL Tool by djkuz) then install the "remove inscription" by raystef66 or follow the steps on his guide. Then you will get fastboot. After you do that, just reboot the phone. TWRP should be replaced with stock recovery again. Check if it was (power + vol+) and if you enter stock recovery then go to Fastboot (via "adb reboot bootloader") and do the command to lock
Of course you have to be FULLY stock (no magisk or whatever) or you'll brick your device

There is an Axon 7 tool kit as well via another post here.

Hi,
I was trying to install Super Rom but unfortunately I am unable to boot the phone. I had rooted the phone a while back. When I try to turn the phone on I get stuck with the dreaded static screen which is normally an easy fix however I can't boot into TWRP as that gives my a static screen too. The only thing I have access to is the fastboot menu and when I try "fastboot reboot" I get stuck at the LG "lifes good" screen. I have tried to flash two different versions of TWRP (one given in dirty santa and the most up to date for H990DS).
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Don't use fastboot reboot. That starts it booting the stock rom, which before the first boot into twrp reflashes the stock recovery again. You need to pull the battery to leave fastboot, then boot into recovery by holding volume down, holding power until the screen turns on, then tapping power repeatedly until it asks to factory reset, say yes. When twrp boots swipe to allow writing to system and flash something. Then booting the rom won't eat twrp anymore.

Thanks for your help, but I have managed to fix my issues! I will add in a fix guide later for anyone else that stumbles upon this.

So I can now boot into SuperRom but I am unable to go back into TWRP. When I do the usual button procedure to get to TWRP I am asked to do the LG reset thing, I press yes twice and then I am met with this screen:

To boot into Android I need to open fastboot and reflash the recovery, then reboot but I still don't have any access to the recovery. Any ideas?

I'm fairly certain that's the one I'm using, but ill re-download it and try again.
Just downloaded your version and it was indeed the one I have been using already. I did however download it again and tried to reflash it using the method you stated above but I end up with the same screen. The only way I can get it to boot into Android after that screen is to boot into fastboot, flash your recovery then "fastboot reboot".
Problem solved! Solution:
1. Download the TWRP app from the play store
2. Using the app, flash Phoenix591's TWRP (here)
3. Use ADB and reboot into recovery using "adb reboot recovery"
Once I did these steps I was able to use the usual method (volume down, release power for one second etc) to boot into TWRP. Happy days!
