i had a frustating week trying to fix my lg G3 d855 (italian) because of a bad recovery flash (i don't know how it happened)
and i wanted to share how i resolved it to everyone because i spent too much hours in front of my compiuter.
this was the condition of my phone:
1- doesn't boot normally, showing in the top left an errore message "boot certification verify" "secure booting error" then the screen turned off and the led started to blink red and blue.
2- doesn't boot to recovery, doing the same things as i said before.
3- when booting in recovery mode (by pressing volume up) my computer showed "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode", but the display of the phone was totally black.
4- lg flash tool seemed to not work totally saying "model information check fail.
5- boardDiag seemed to not work too saying "device was not found in dload trying flash programmer".
here it is how i resolved it:
i just followed this guide, using his BoardDiag modified by willcracker: https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/general/guide-fix-hard-brick-recovery-guide-t3132359
at first it seemed to not work :crying:, but after 5-6 times unplugging the phone and rebooting(do not give up!) BoardDiag the program started to work as it should:victory:
i think that it was a crucial step, because i tried boardDiag hundred times before but only this realese worked.
my sw version was "21a 16gb", but i used the "10a 16gb" .tot file that i found here and it worked well: http://downloads.codefi.re/wolfgart/LG_G3/D855
i followed all the steps (except to open the phone, because i was able to go in download mode with no problem) then my phone got stuck in bootloop, but i used lg flash tool 2014 found in this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
to choose the kdz file i insered my imei here : https://imei.guru/ and looked for my "Latest firmware version"
in this page i downloaded the .kdz file with the firmware version i found: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-d855-firmwares/firmwares/
i hope i could be helpful to someone, see you
ps. sorry for my bad english

The modem driver has intalled correctly but the csc driver and lge android phone not (cannot install them).
When i connect the phone in lg logo and secure boot error, appears many drivers that says if i wish format. seem is qhsusb_bulk error (appears in management)
And i tried with flashtool and tot and appears waiting for connection and not move of this place
How can i to unbrick my phone?.
Any method??
Thanks you
********EDIT*****
I recently use SRK Tool to fix the drives, and looks fine, now not show many partitions and also not show secure boot erro, now oly appears lg logo with secure error and restart permanetly.
What can i do?
Hello
I'm new here, I've been modding my lg a few times, always when bricked, kdz or tot files were saving me.
But now I've got real problem.
I was changing ROM from Cyanogen 13 to Cloudy 3.3. I thought I just need to flash rom via recovery (2.8.7.3 bump blastagator). Flashed fine, without any troubles, but when it came to reboot, phone just got stuck on LGs logo.
I knew i f*ed up.
Recovery isn't working, but Download Mode is turning on normally, at least it seems to.
So i tried to flash KDZ, but LG Flash Tool immedently shuts down giving "lg user...." error (don't remember what exacly it was saying).
Then i tried via tot files. But after installing drivers from tutorials, device isn't showed as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port", but as few positions like MTP device or usb serial port(but not in Com ports) and all are marked as devices without drivers. Flash tool for tot also didn't worked here, because it did't found device.
What can i do now? Please help me.
[Edit]
So now, using different drivers somehow Jelly Bean installed by tot method (device didn't appeared as tutorial said, but it worked) phone is booting normally, but i can't again install lollipop with kdz files.
I was trying 3 different drivers, every giving instant error of flash tool.
What can I do now?
[EDIT2] LGUSERCSTool.exe is crashing. How can I install lollipop now?
Are there tot files for lollipop?
Update,
I fixed this problem by using LGUP. My phone was refurbished (ls980) so that's why twrp didn't booted,
Hello,
I have a LG G2 d802 32gb variant. I bought it a week ago. I was running andoid kitkat OS (HK D80220C). It wasn't rooted. I tried to get official updates from about phone section but "no updates". So i decided to manually flash updates from a rooted recovery as i did in my LG G3.
First of all I rooted it by "IOroot". Then tried to install custom recovery by "autorec d802". Everything went good and autorec was also successful. I asked me to reboot into recovery, I pressed yes and then it took me to "fastboot mode". I tried to reboot into OS by pressing power button (As battery is non-removable). Everytime it rebooted back into that fastboot mode. This once happened with me on LG G3. So i tried to flash "laf" and "recovery" image and downloaded from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware
I flashed them by CMD fastboot method. Now it stuck at "LG Logo" and download mode was also started. So i decided to install a stock rom by KDZ or Tot method. First i tried KDZ method. I downloaded stock rom "Hong Kong D80220C_00.kdz" which it was previously running. Also installed all drivers, downloaded flashtools2014 and connected phone while in download mode.
I started KDZ method as told here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But everytime it shows internal error on "2 or 3 percent". It didn't worked for me. So i decided to do tot mothod.
Download tot file, dll file, LGFlashtool, drivers etc.
Followed whole process which was also described in above post. But when flashtool reached at 94 percent and mobile was being rebooted it showed error
"Fboot check"
"Fboot Check"
"Can't reboot completely"
I tried to turn of phone at this condition by waiting and then doing a factory reset by keys combination but it keeps resetting and rebooting. I searched whole internet but can't find a solution. Can anyone please help me. Because i bought this cellphone a week ago for my friend and i would not be able to face him after showing a sick phone. Please someone help .
Only download mode of phone is working, It also keeps led light on while stuck at logo.

could it be that your phone is refurbished ? and if its says its a d802 in fact is a ls980.?
Hi everyone
I am posting this because I fail to flash TWRP on my LG G2 (D802, 30c); I would like to flash LineageOS. I have read many guides and posts - however, none worked. So I turn to you for advice -- would you help me, please?
I have managed to flash Cyanogen to my Samsung S2 a few years ago and TWRP and LineageOS to my LG G5 (H850) last year -- the S2 was easy, the G5 very tricky, but the G2 kills me. The G5 took a real effort because no guide worked for my phone, and I had to take a little from this guide, a little from that and add a bit of my own (let me know if anyone is interested in how I flashed LOS to my G5). I have tried the same with my G2 -- but I seem to have come to a dead end.
I am writing all that that to tell you that I have gone to great length before troubling you. Here is in summary what I have done so far and where I stand:
I have installed the sdk toolkit, adb and fastboot properly when I flashed my G5 last year.
Now I have started with the instructions from the LineageOS wiki (wiki.lineageos.org/devices/d802/install). I have activated USB debugging and rooted my phone using One Click root (Before One Click Root for the G2 was available, I could not even root my phone).
Then I flashed TWRP using "dd" as explained in the installation guide in the LineagOS wiki. I also tried it by flashing through the TWRP app (the app said it was flashed successfully). I tried TWRP 3.2.3.0 and 2.8.7.0 for the D802. The result always was as set out below.
After that I turned off my phone and started I by holding power + Volume down, releasing power briefly after the LG logo appeared. I went through factory reset (selected yes and yes), and here the problems begin (the same when I use “adb reboot recovery”). The phone should start into TWRP, but it does not. Instead the start screen with the LG logo appears, and in the upper left corner the following message appears:
ERROR: boot certification verify
[26480]------------------------------------- -
[26480]
[26520] Secure booting Error!
[26570] Cause: boot certification verify
[26620]
[26670]-------------------------------------- -
If the numbers in the square brackets make sense to you: They change every time I boot.
The next screen reads
------------------------------------------------- -
Critical Error!
------------------------------------------------- -
DemiGod Crash Handler : Critical Error!
Some information on how to reboot or access Download mode]
------------------------------------------------- -
Board Info Rev. : 1.1 speed.pvs : 1.3 serial : [...]
------------------------------------------------- -
I have tried many things, including several resets using LG FLash Tool 2014 to flash an entirely clean stock rom and starting fresh rooting and flashing. I also tried LG G2 D802 One Click Root Recovery V1.1, which even failed to root the phone.
My feeling is that the phone prevents me from properly installing TWRP. It does not allow me to boot into the bootloader using "adb reboot bootloader" (the command just restarts the phone). Therefore, I cannot put it into fastboot mode (I also tried the volume-up button method to put it into fastboot and failed), which may be crucial to properly install TWRP. In this regard, it may be relevant that the Developer Options show no option "OEM unlock"; that might be necessary to access the bootloader and fastboot mode…
What do you think? Do you have an idea how to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot and cheers!
Hello Guys, I have LG G2 F320S (Korean Variant) and a few days ago it was stuck in fastboot mode while i was trying to upgrade to Lollipop firmware using LG Flash Tool 2014. And Fastboot commands were working fine but the problem was that some of the partitions had become write-protected so I was unable to erase or reflash those partitions. So, I short circuit the capacitor and I successfully entered Qualcomm 9006 mode with a number of partitions. I used SRKtool to restore partitions (I have this experience in the past so it was easy for me) but here I noticed 1 or 2 partitions were not restored (write-protected) but phone restarted to download mode. When I tried to flash stock firmware then it always stuck in the middle or something and later once again I was stuck in fastmode mode where I started.
I don't know how partitions became write-protected?
Once again I disassembled the cellphone and short-circuit the capacitor to enter Qualcomm 9006 mode and this time, I wanted to remove write-protection from these partitions so I opened "Diskpart" in "cmd" selected LG G2 and performed clean command and format it. Diskpart removed all the partitions gave me a 32GB single partition like a USB Flash.
I thought may be after shorting the capacitor, I will get back partitions but this time I got QDLoader 9008 mode. Now whenever I connect phone to PC with or without battery then it is detected in Qualcomm QDloader 9008 mode.
I tried Boarddiag v3.99c but unfortunately this tool doesn't extract .kdz file of my LG G2 F320S korean variant. I tried to extract .tot file of LG G2 D802 (intl variant) and it completed successfully, so the problem is in .kdz file of my cellphone(probably not supported by this tool).
I can extract this .kdz using LGFirmware extract tool but unfortunately it doesn't create "partition.txt" file which is required in boarddiag to flash partitions. I used partition.txt file of LG G2 D802 but it gives error : No DLoad mode when trying to reflash programmer".
Any help would be appreciated.

Boarddiag full and working version helped
I have tried a lot of times to flash the partitions using boarddiag but it failed. It was the problem of the software because almost all versions had missing files. At last, I have found a working version of boarddiag which detects my phone and I am able to flash boot partitions to it. Although all 3 tests completed successfully (AP, EMMC, SDRAM) but still I am stucked, even after flashing all the boot images, I am still stuck in QDLoader 9008 mode and whenever I connect it to PC (with or without battery), it is detected in QDLoader 9008 mode.
Here is the link to the full working version of Boarddiag 3.99 for LG G2:

(mega is blocked in many countries so you may have to use proxy/vpn to open this link)
Here is the result of all 3 tests. Please tell me whats the problem. SDRAM result is FAIL but why so?

Now I am able to enter "Download Mode" but unable to flash stock or any other firmware. I tried flashing with 2 softwares:
1. LG UP-G2-G3....This software gives error at 6% (at LAF read) as shown in picture below :
https://ibb.co/zXpDcjt
2. LG Flash tool 2014.... This software gives error at 4% by saying "Unable to Establish Connection" though connection is fine because phone is detected in Device Manager and in Download Mode "It shows signs that communication is successful but it wont flash.

Did you try the TOT flash method already? It worked best for me, when I restored my phone from scratch 2 days ago.

Dear I have tried two methods. I tried LGUP and LG Flash Tools 2014. But both fails. Unfortunately, no TOT file is available for my LG G2 because its Korean variant (F320S) and it has only .kdz firmwares available.
QDLoader 9008 mode
Now, my phone is not entering download mode. It is displayed as QDLoader 9008 mode when connected to PC. Check the screenshot here : https://ibb.co/yk3VSbS
I have the working version of boarddiag but sometimes it passes all 3 tests and sometimes fails EMMC test ad sometimes SDRAM test is not completed successfully.
