Hello, I posted my problem in the general Q&A section but I get no respons there. I don't know how to move it here so I have to post it a second time here. Sorry for that.
I have the following problem with my Moto X Style.
Out of couriousity I took a look at the screen via *#*#4636#*#* I didn't think it was possible to change anything here but problably it is because since then i'm unable to sent or receive phone calls.
4G data connecion works fine though.
Strange thing is, although I buoght the phone in The Netherlands, I can only select the US radioband in this screen. Is it possible to change this somehow to Dutch again?
The 'pereferred network' is set to LTE/UMTS auto (PRL). I'm not sure if that is the right one for the netherlands but I haven't found the one that works.
Thank you,

This post intrigues me... You have a Moto X Style (XT1572) not a Moto X Pure (XT1575)? The Style never was sold in the US, so you shouldn't have US band selection at all. My fear is you bought a Style someone borked up by flashing a different region's variant ROM to the device, sometimes it is impossible to get back to the correct one.
Can you post the output of 'fastboot getvar all' but mask out the IMEI/SN please?

Hello acejavelin, thanks for your response.
Yes, I have the XT1572. (Style) I bought it new from a legit Dutch retailer. The phone always worked fine untit I couldn't keep my fingers from the *#*#4636#*#* screen.
In this screen I can select preferred network which says LTE/UTMS auto (PRL). If I change this it automatically returns to this setting.
When I press the 3 dots in the upper right corner I can sellect mode for radio band. But here only the United States is shown.
I made screenshots of all the relevant screens but when I want to upload a pic I get an URL.

Ok... Guess I was barking up the wrong tree, the bootloader has never been unlocked, so it's a completely stock Retail EU/France version.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix this, sorry.

Hi acejavelin,
Thank you, I appreciate your effort. Apparently i have to be satisfied with a tablet with a data connetion until I find the courage to switch to Lineage or somthing.
I don't see any mention of my broblem elsewhere on the internet so I guess it's not a very common problem. On other sites I asked they don't know an awnser either.
I find it weird though that an unrooted phone can be messed up simply by a software setting.
I read that with original firmware it's possible to reflash a phone using RSDLite. I looked everywhere for the firmware but until now I was not able to find a European version for the XT1572.
The only ones I could find were for the US and asian models. Maybe someone can give me a push in the right direction?
Thank you.

Oke, Maybe my problem lays elswhere then. The US band is the only one that is visible pressing the 3 dots in the upper right corner.
My phone is set on the LTE/UTMS auto (PRL) preffered NetWorktype. There are many more like TD-SCDMA/WCDMA etc. But none seem to work and the phone has always automatically returned to LTE/UTMS auto (PRL) when I close and reopen the screen.

You're right. Some sites with Stock EU rom I bookmarked before have been dead. I did not save to drive, too. You can try other region if your phone is not cellular locked one.

Yes, I did, both in andoid an in recovery. Also I whiped the cache and reset the config file from the provider. I did everything I could find on the internet about similar problems.
I also read somewhere that is is possible to only flash the modem file.

But it was working? Then nothing you could change in the 4636 menu would be permanent... Odd
No, it didn't solve the problem. I also thought nothing could be changed in the 4636 menu, but apparently it can. So people like me, who don't know what they are doing.. stay away!

Hi to everyone
I have the following problem with my Moto X Style XT1575
Out of curiosity, I took a look at the screen via *#*#4636#*#* I didn't think it was possible to change anything here but probably it is because since then I'm unable to sent or receive phone calls.
4G data connection works fine though.

Hi
Im searchinf for cyanogenmod 6.0 with EBI1 port included.
I can only find it for 32A with 3.22 radio
Cant I get for the 6.35 radio?
tried google, and searching the forum
thanks in advance
Okay... Im trying different approach then...
I manage to get S-OFF with engineering SPL 1.33.2010
Now I want to downgrade radio to 3.22 instead...
I tried the RadioSwitchGUI, but it keeps saying raido failure.
I jus use the "flash old" button, which refers to 3.22 radio,
I also tried using
fastboot flash radio radioimg.zip (also tried .img) (radioimg being the name of the radio)
But fastboot freeze while writing the new radio, and the screen on the phone turns black/grey and then I have to pull the battery...
What's stopping me?
thnaks in advance
Got this from fastbootcommandor
STARTING PRINT OF DEVICE INFO.
-----------------------------------.
Radio version: 6.35.08.29.
SPL/hboot version: 1.33.2010.
product: sapphire.
mid: sapp10000.
security: off.
build-mode: eng.
-----------------------------------.
Print of device info SUCCESSFUL.
Flashing "radio" - PLEASE WAIT.
"radio" flash FAILURE.
EDIT: Thanks to Mumilover, I know now that I had a radio/SPL mismatch
1.76 goes with 6.35 radio
1.33 goes with 3.22 radio
if u have 6.35 radio, flash 1.76 spl (hboot) and then downgrade both.
and the other way around
Well, I accidentally flash a 32A SPL on my 32B myTouch.
Good thing (may be) is I still can access to fastboot.
Bad thing is it turned to S-ON & I can't boot to recovery.

If you can fastboot, you need to flash a 1.76... SPL to go with your 6.35 radio like 1.76.2007.
fastboot flash hboot hboot-1.76.2007.img
Might be due to S-ON, it won't allow me to write any SPL, radio or recovery img. When I used the Radio Switcher, it said failure. When I used adb, it said "signature verify fail".
I even tried to use SAPPIMG.nhb but it stucked at radio update.
The last hope there is I still can access to the holy fastboot.
Please help me, guys.

From fastboot try fastboot boot recovery newrecoveryname.img
Then from there restore backup or backup then reflash spl

1)See the radio version... thats for the 32A devices... big no-no
2)see the spl... there is a mismatch between the spl and radio... second big no-no.
3) see the 32A... it should be 32B.. third big no-no
The only way you can flash anything is by flashing a matching spl, so the radio and spl can work together.. from there you flash a different combo to match the device you have. The problem is you have s-on, the forth no-no, which complicates thing further...
In other words, you are in deep sh't :0|
You are not completely bricked... but you are very close to...
The fix:
It's a very dangerous approach... post here if you are willing to take a major risk :0)
Thanks mumilover.
I do know that I'm in deep deep Sh!T.
Please post your solution, as I consider my phone in dead anyway now. Can take any risk for testing purpose
Start with these commands:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
fastboot oem h
Post back the results
Hey,
as described here I've got the same problem as camapghe. I'm very intrested in hearing this dangerous approach. So please tell us.
Here is the requested output from my device:
Code:
-bash-4.1$ fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.89.162.1
-bash-4.1$ fastboot oem h
... INFOcommand list
INFOkeytest
INFOheap
INFOboot
INFOreset
INFOpowerdown
INFOrebootRUU
INFOtask
INFOrtask
OKAY
-bash-4.1$
The thing is, i got my magic stolen... so it's very hard for me to tell you all the steps from memory... so.. i just pm'ed you my email so we can do it together over gtalk :0)
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
version-main: 1.88.531.1
fastboot oem h
...
(bootloader) command list
(bootloader) keytest
(bootloader) heap
(bootloader) boot
(bootloader) reset
(bootloader) powerdown

(bootloader) task

Then, what should I do now?
@ mumilover: I sent you my gmail contact
Guys, I think the danger approach original guide is
HERE
@mumilover: please have a look at this link & confirm what should us (me & Crazy_Scientist) should do next. I'm dare NOT to try any more without guidance from professional.
Update 1:
I just tried a bit & confirmed that I CAN boot in rebootRUU. Waiting for mumilover's guide.
Update 2:
Now stuck in RUU mode. Feel like I'm r*ping my phone's corpse. Ha ha ha.
The guide you referring to has a set of well known commands, like the sd-card enabler and flash of misc partition.
But it does not help us in your case.
What i want to do is something else... i want to flash a RUU using a goldcard.. but while the device is flashing we take out the battery in the right moment... this way we force to flash the only spl... this way we gain a matching combo, and then try to forcefully boot the device... it will not succeed to boot all the way, but i will give us some time to try a different approach :0)
PS: i got your pm, but the time difference makes it a little hard to communicate :0|
So, that will be the idea. I think I know what to do.
But I don't have any RUU img with good SPL yet. If you know any, please provide me the link. Thanks.
Besides, from the command in fastboot, I found that I always stuck at radio point 97 when updating radio. The rest will be ok.
What I want to ask is there any sappimg that can update without / bypassing radio update?

Not a sappimg, the second part of the sappimg flash process is going to be the radio. AFAIK, there is no way to bypass this.
And Crazy_Scientist is back to life running CM and enjoying his non-brick :0)
It took 3 hours to get him back to a running system, and 7.5 min to root and flash custom rom hihihihi
camapghe please post here so i can see you still active or not... no logic in writing the solution if the OP is absent :0)
And just as a side-note, every sappimg.(nbh|zip) has it's own flash order... so the trick is to flash a sappimg which flashes the spl before the radio... and stop it before it updates the version-main nr, so we can flash a different sappimg just after it without the need to change the misc partition.
I have a 32A mytouch 1.2 and i accidently flashed 1.76.0008 and the new radio. now i can really do anything cant revert back nor can it flash anything in HBOOT i either get main version is old (i think, says main version is...) i tried gold carding it doesn't work still get the same message redid my goldcard and still nothing. any way to revive my phone without jtah sincei can still access flashboot and what not.

Yes, this version works only on os-1.29.401. with locked or relocked bootloader. I testet it, no way around. We have to wait for the OTA for os-1.18.... or am customrom, made out of an OTA.

Rename it to 0PFJIMG.zip, put it on your external sd card, boot into bootloader with volume - and power button. it will read the zip, and if it compatibel with your os it will aupgrade and you have to confirm with your buttons.
If you have a unlocked bootloader, relock it first.

I think you have a CID from Orange. Like my phone. You have to wait for the update from Orange in your country, or maybe a custom rom comes out before, ore you make your phone s-off and supercid, than you can install every rom from every country and every provider.

- os-1.29.401.5
-relocked bootloader
and i tried to move on SD card and rename the file with 0PFJIMG.zip ,when i start HBOOT on the right side of my screen it show a blue bar moving up and then after i wait 5 min i got the message <press power button to restart> but nothig,i have the same android version
NOTE : MY CID HTC__J15 .... so everything is okay

XT910. Airplane mode is on but it seems to have no IMEI which means it won't work on mobile network until IMEI is restored
No i dont think so its XT910 u can search in google i see XT910 is different
How did you come across this device?
The back of it says XT910, FCC ID is IHDP56ME2, which also points to XT910. However, that looks like a 4.7" or 5" version of XT907. The XT910 looks very different and was a 4.3" device.
I think the clue is on the bottom of this device, it says, "MOTOROLA MOBILITY CONFIDENTIAL RESTRICTED PROPERTY: NOT FOR SALE". That makes me think this is some kind of prototype. Maybe one of a kind.
Another clue is that it is product name Scorpion. The RAZR M was Scorpion Mini. However, I'm not aware that Motorola ever released a Scorpion (XT910 was Spyder).
So I would guess what you have here is a one-of-a-kind prototype that was never made into a production device. Very cool thing to have. Maybe not useful though, I don't know that you would be able to flash it with anything. Also, being a prototype, maybe the baseband isn't even connected to anything. The radio in it may be non-functional, which could explain the lack of IMEI. Maybe this is a prototype for the RAZR M HD that was never released.
Did you identify the smaller one? Model SMI seems to point to XT890 RAZR i. The FCC ID printed on the sticker comes up invalid. Might just be a typo, it should have an FCC ID under the clear tape.
