Whats the error, put a screen shot of it.
Nexus 7 Google Play Error 920 Fix
I'm posting the solution so other people don't have to waste an hour or two on this ****ing nagging problem (error 920).
The problem:
Flash ROM (aokp_grouper_jb-mr1_milestone-1 in my case)
Flash Gapps (Tried both gapps-jb-20130301-signed and gapps-jb-20121212-signed)
Boot device
Device begins restoring your apps from Google Play when suddenly it hits a snag and every application it intends to install shows an error 920 notification.
Google Play Store at this point is completely non-functional. No amount of cache clearing, data clearing, Google account removing, etc. will fix it.
Solution:
Download and push to your device the latest version of Google Play, I used vs.4.1.6 (Use google to find the apk)
From the Play Store application, go into the menu-->Accounts-->Add account
Add another Google account (You have more than one, don't you?)
Switch to your newly added account, maybe download something from it and then switch back.
Unfortunately, Google Play will not resume syncing the remaining apps that error'd, but Google Play is now fully functional once more.
Remove the account you added.
Done.
Cheers, good luck.
Works like a charm! Thanks so much.
Just saved my hair from being yanked out - seriously thank you!
I never liked google auto-restoring apps (I always install them myself as I need to because they have a habit of reinstalling stuff I don't want reinstalled).
But seriously good info for future reference.
PS: On that note, don't restore paid apps with titanium backup (if you ever use it), rather install the paid app from the play store first, then restore it's data with TiB... will save you some headache later.

Hi,
I recently got an Axon 7 from China, and i'm having problems with the google play store (not factory installed). After downloading the play store from the zte store, i couldn't open the app and i tried downloading play store apk and happened the same. Don't no what to do know.
(not sure if posted on wrong thread, so mods, you can move it)

Are you sure that it is a 2017G if you've got it from China?
Another one that can't read... This has been well documented BUT here goes again...
1. Go to ZTE Market. Search>Type "Google Installer"
Install gmail, google play services (Very much needed) and play store.
2. Open Mi-Assisstant. Go to Autorun and select the 3 apps listed above. Log into Play store. - you won't be able to install or update anything for about an hour until Google recognises you are actually legit. Update everything when able to.
If/When you try to log into Gmail you will be prompted to update google play services, this may take a while to do so - above wait time - it will give an error until google decides you are able to use your account...
Next time, please search...
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Le Pro 3 X720 which I bought about a month or two after it was released. So, the problem is that one day (I don't remember when or what was it) I started getting notified that google play store has stopped working. I, stupidly, just ignored the problem because it didn't cause anything bad to my phone except that annoying notification, everything worked as usual. But after some time, my play store really stopped working and I couldn't download anything from it PLUS now I get notified that google play services stopped. Something like: "Sorry, Google Play Services stopped.", and when I try to enter my play store, I only get this: "Couldn't sign in. There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later." I tried various solutions: deleting cache, deleting data, uninstalling and reinstalling, I tried dozens of stuff and then decided to factory reset my phone, but that also didn't help, furthermore, now I dont even have Chrome, Youtube, Snapchat and stuff which are all connected to google play services. I have seen somewhere that I'm not the only one with that problem, and that especially happened with new EUI update 5.9.028s (Stable). I BEG YOU to help me A.S.A.P. because I can't afford buying a new phone right now and I need some google services for my job.
Hmm, I wonder if this has to do with the new uncertified Gapps mess. https://www.xda-developers.com/google-blocks-gapps-uncertified-devices-custom-rom-whitelist/
Basically, phones that are not certified for the Play Store will not be able to use Gapps. But you can whitelist your phone if you register its GSF ID. The x720 isn't certified for Google apps because it was never released internationally. It was only released in China. So the original stock ROM doesn't have Google apps. However, vendors create their own modified versions of the stock eUI ROMs with Google apps and less bloatware. Which means the phones aren't certified for Gapps since Gapps weren't loaded by the OEM, but a third party.
But all of this is speculation. And probably has nothing to do with your problem. The Gapps uncertified issue only affects ROMs with an Android build date of March 2018. If your build date is older, which is 100% the case here, you shouldn't be affected at all.
My x722 is "uncertified" according to the Google Play Store (see Play Store > Settings in Play Store menu, scroll to the bottom). Yet I can use Google apps just fine. I'm on 20s, unrooted with a locked bootloader. Basically, if you're certified you can pass SafetyNet. Which means you'll be able to use banking apps that detect root (and don't function if your device is rooted), you can find Netflix in the Play Store (as opposed to finding its apk elsewhere and installing it), and so on.
You might have to flash a custom ROM like LineageOS. Doing this is really easy. All you have to do is unlock the bootloader and flash TWRP (literally just a few commands) and then flash the ROM. LOS most likely already includes Gapps. Rooted devices can use Magisk and Magisk Hide to bypass SafetyNet. eUI is pretty terrible and I don't recommend it unless you need to keep it until your warranty runs out (like me).

Just manual download google play services and update them.
If it will not let you get rooted and delete old google play services.
Sent from my LEX720 using xda premium
I'm on the 500GB original Shield TV. Totally stock with the latest update that came out a few days ago (although I had this same issue on the previous version as well)
In a nutshell when I go to the Play Store to install a new app or update app the D/L looks like it's about to update but the indication bar never actually downloads. It just gets stuck there indefinitely. Here are the things I have tried to fix the issue:
- clear cache in Play Store
- clear cache in Play Store Services (or google play services...whatever it's called)
-removed my Google account and logged in again
-uninstalled old version of Play Store
-uninstalled old version of Google Play Services
I have no idea what else I can try short of a complete factory reset (which i really don't want to do)
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks for all the advice!
Same problem here mate, did you get anywhere with it
Can you download the/an app directly not, through GP Store, and successfully install it?
Currently i am using Bs2 China version and play game called Honkai Impact 3. Then, every time i try to top up in game store, i always got:" connection failed, please try again later". Try other game, same issue and i cant buy anything in any game via google pay. Any solution to this shiit problem? Seems like Bs2 has issue with google pay connection, meanwhile i just download game from google store without issue @@
:crying::crying::crying::crying:
I've had no issue with my global version. Does the Chinese version have any issues with other Google services?
I have the same issue but with a bit of a different twist. I play Dragon Nest M SEA and whenever I try to make an in-app purchase it just gets stuck loading. No pop-up dialog box for payments or anything at all.
Not only that but my Google Play Games keeps failing initialization and my Google Maps wont pinpoint my location DESPITE having permissions for location on it set to allowed.
Really starting to bug me.

Have you already installed google pay in your device? If not install google pay and allow all permission for google pay. If already installed then try clearing cache of google pay or reinstalling google pay. I also noticed that today I can't purchase on my BS2 China rom. After installing google pay from play store my problem was solved.
P.S It was a little tricky to run successfully. When you want to buy with gpay, then open gplay and gpay. And then go back with home button.(don't clear from task manager. Let them run in background). Then open the game you want to buy with gpay and buy successfully. If one of them are killed from background running, it won't work.
