I saw your other post and Like I said I would contact the local law As if she isnt giving you the password or offering to unlock it or even I believe just logging onto google and releasing it from her account Something is up and you will get no help here as this is a fishy situation

Google locked S8 will be forever locked. The only way you can unlock it "legally" is to have the original owner unlock it for you, or do it via "law". File a case to that person - Legal papers that are properly signed & notarized will be acknowledged by Samsung and they can do the inhouse unlocking[im not sure how they do this but yes they can] of your phone ( You need the Original Receipt of the product also)
But in your case, this purchase is something fishy, I believe you got this from buy&sell with no Real Identification of seller. No original receipt of purchase, which is very important when dealing with this matter .

HTC Repaired my g1 and gave me a new IMEI

Hi,
For no reason whatsoever my t mobile g1 turned off and would not come back on. It also would not take a charge. I was getting no response from anything on it. I sent it into HTC's warranty service for them to fix it. They fixed it and mailed it back. I'm not sure how they fixed it but now my phone is not sim unlocked and I cannot use it with AT&T. I noticed that the IMEI number is now changed on the phone. I went to http://www.unlock-tmobileg1.com/EN/unlocking-Google+Phone.php so that I could get an unlock code for my phone. I sent them my new IMEI number and they claimed that the code was unavailable at the time. I had just received the phone in the mail after it was fixed when I submitted to the website to get my unlock code. I am not sure whether or not I will be able to get the code for my phone. Does anybody have any idea why the website didn't work? And why did they relock my phone when i sent it in?

They probably replaced the mainboard or sent you a refurbished unit. That would have the effect of giving you a new IMEI. Obviously the phone would also be locked again, as a new mainboard would essentially be the same thing as having a different phone.
What about http://www.unlock-tmobileg1.com/EN/unlocking-Google+Phone.php not being able to retrieve my unlock code? Do you think that this might be temporary or could the new board not have a listed unlock code?
HTC will have the unlock code since they manufactured the device. You should communicate with them -- explain that it was unlocked when you sent it in and that what you got back was locked. They shouldn't have a problem helping you out here. Escalate if the first numbnuts you speak to won't do it. You definitely shouldn't have to pay for this and you shouldn't have to go to a 3rd party for it.

I have a similar problem. I am seriously hoping HTC will unlock it for me... Fingers crossed!
The same thing happened to me and I called HTC and they emailed me an unlock code within a couple days...
Hello Everyone,
For those who got the htc replacement units, what did they give you back besides the phone? Also when you guys first gave them you units, how long had it been since you guys purchases your phones? Cause i'm not sure how old mine is. Would you guys mind posting pics of the replacement device they gave on with the home screen? Please let me know.
Thank You

You walk in and tell them you want an unlock code for your HD2 and they go out the back and make a call to their contact at the code supplier who contacts the network operator database and requests the code. If they have the right credentials the code is sold to them, they sell it to the man in the shop and he sells it to you.
The shop may let you think that "they" have unlocked it, but, it's not possible to do that with some boxes and wires in the same way as for other makes and models. At least not as far as I know. If the code is genuine and accepted by the phone then it's unlocked and there are no side effects.
BUT, before you do that have a look at
http://unlock-now.com/
I used them and the cost was minimal and I had my code in 13 minutes.
As an aside I take it the you have a non UK voda model as all the UK Voda kit on contract is already unlocked.
However, I guess you already checked that?
In a lot of cases with the right cable and trade software they can unlock phones that follow certain standards. Thats why you can have it unlocked without them needing to put another sim in the phone like you have to when you get a remote code.
i have tryed several websites that do unlocking, i jyst get email next day sayimg sorry thay can't do it... and refund money.
i think is becouse after HTC service thay changed IMEI, and even thou i give websiiets new number thay cant find it...
i complaind to HTC said that i can't unlock it and O2 says its not thair phone (coz IMEI different) and thay alredy unloced my HD2 (this was not 100% true
but HTC agreed to send me an unlock code and after week of waiting i got it this morning

Who has an unlocked X10a from Canada?

Hey guys, I'm wondering who has an unlocked X10 from Canada. I'm in Kingston, ON and I just got my X10 yesterday from Wireless Express. They're a certified Rogers dealer but when I got my phone, I couldn't unlock it. I have tried a lot of the unlocking services including mobileincanada.com, cellunlocker.net, some ebay dealer and several others but none of them work. All of the said they my IMEI wasn't in their database so they couldn't give me the unlocking code. So I'm wondering if there is anyone from Canada who has there phone unlocked could give me some advice. I'd like to know what store you bought the phone from cuz I think the problem is with my phone and not the unlocking service. I've heard that newer phones might not be in their IMEI database. I'm going to get a replacement or a refund so I can get it else where.
I got a phone from Rogers unlocked from ebay dealer
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280500425789&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
Dealer name is fastunlock2010
I unlocked my X10a (Rogers) through MobileInCanada.com.
Not sure why your IMEI isn't recognized.
I got mine from Rogers and the guy there gave me this: calgarycellunlockers(dot)com. They even have the contact number but you can do it online.
Thanks. I just bought a new code for the X10 and they claim it's from the manufacturer, so it is 100% guaranteed to work. I hope it does. Thanks for everyone's help.
Is it me, or am I reading more recent messages about difficulties with finding unlock codes for Rogers X10a?
Did SE or Rogers change or are withholding the unlock codes from the third party service providers?
Xperia requires new sim cards from rogers.., my x10 didn't accept my 2year old sim card unless i have the SIM registry unlock code (sounds like that)..,
so what i did, i switched sim card, and im still using my old number.., ask a rogers representative on how to do it..,
i had a similar problem with the service's online not being able to unlock mine. turned out that the ebay seller provided it to me. but it ended up in my spam mail and took about 3 days to find. quite frustrating.
You may try Htccode, they don´t look for the IMEI, intead the peforme a USB cable and software combination and it`s really fast.
Regards
Jaime
Looks like I'm having no luck here. This is my second X10 I've tried and I bought the manufacturer's code that's guaranteed to work 100% but...it didn't. And I think I've tried the code too many times that the phone locked itself. Now it says "SIM card locked. Contact Network operator" whenever I try to enter the code. Help, anyone?

A software unlock should be the last resort.
I don't know which unlocker unlocked my X10a, but I purchased it unlocked.
I had similar problems with my old Ericsson Rogers cell that no one could get the code for. Stupid Rogers wouldn't provide me with the code even though the phone was almost a year old, and I was then with its sister network.

Cable unlock is your only option.
Do you know where I can get the cable unlock? Right now cellunlocker.net owes me money so I hope they have that service as well. Thanks for the info, appreciate it
Try having a local store or CL person do a software unlock, which shouldn't take long. The problem is that you would need to give them the phone and wait, and it will cost more than cheaper online number unlocking.
Maybe try calling Rogers and attempt to persuade the customer service agent to provide the unlock code since you're with Fido. You might be fortunate enough to get connected with a knowledgeable rep who is sympathetic.

Bought phone from someone, can't unlock it

I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this but I don't know where else to go with it. Long story short, I bought this TMobile locked Samsung s7 edge from a local guy who said he bought it outright no contract. He didn't say it was s locked I assumed it was unlocked (yeah...I know) anyway I use a different cell phon carrier which I won't work. I've called tmobile 4x and they can't/won't unlock it but they t ok me the IMEI is good. But the guy will not contact me back about getting the phone unlocked...I think out my money and options. I was t old that it needs to be unlocked remotely not just a code I paid a site to try the code and they couldn't do it.
Any advice/help or experience with this kind of situation?
You can check here in case it was bought from samsung by original seller - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3592266
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
The guy I bought it from said he bought it outright, no contract and when I contacted him about not being able to unlock it he said when he asked tmobile about it that could not find it in their system and I'd have to get it unlocked online. I've tried several sites already and no one does it remotely.
Try calling TMobile and they should unlock it right away. If they won't do it, you might need to contact the person who purchased the phone and tell them to give tmobile a call. Clean IMEI does not mean it is still carrier locked. It just means the phone isnt marked as lost/stolen. My S7 Edge won't unlock in the app even though I am already out of contract. After I called them, they did something in their system and instructed me to reboot then try again, and it unlocked in the unlock app directly. "Unlock Codes" DOES NOT work with tmobile s7 as you are required to do it in the app.

As already stated, no it can't be unlocked and it's most likely a stolen phone
Check the IMEI here http://imeipro.info/
Does the phone asks for a code or does it prompt any message on the display?

Got same issue. Not been able to buy a new one went for second hand and after the check look like the phone is blacklisted. I cannot afford to lose £350.
There should be a way to make it working. If cannot be said . can someone with good hearth send a link or point to some other forum where this is explained.
On youtube people charge a fortune to make it working. So someone knows how to do it
Thanks for your understanding

We do not discuss imei changing or blacklist repair. It is either a stolen phone. Or it was blacklisted due to non payment. I would take the sales receipt you got to a police station and file charges on the seller for selling property he wasn't allowed to sell
