Update to Andriod 2.3.3 - Exchange failed

Hi,
I updated to 2.3.3 yesterday on my DesireHD and now i cant add exchange accounts any more, it just states failed to create account, please try again later.. anyone else with this issue?

Hi,
on my side both exchange accounts working like before the update. But I had the same issue on a users phone (2.2.1). After several hours of testing I asked him if he has some special characters in his password (german umlaut). After he changed his password to one without the umlauts it was working again.

Has anyone tried with Hotmail EAS?
It failed for me.
It synced only new emails and after i readed these emails it will never mark as read.

[Q] Issue with Exchange mail config / HC 3.2

Dear All,
I have one issue when attempting to config email exchange (corporate). after the first config screen (passed), I do no tick the option "download attachements" BUT when finalizing the account set up and first sync, ALL the attachements are downloaded! Then I tried to go back to the account parameters to check the option, but the relevant parameter (in general parameters) is not available (I do have this parameter in my other mail account)!
I have another account (FREE.FR mail which is ok , ie the attachement option can be selected or not). I have tried to erase / create the account several times, but nothing changes...
I did also an hard & soft reboot, nothing change... Of cours Acer technical assistance is useless.
To be clear, the email was working for weeks but I had a pop up "shutdown of precessus com.android.exchange" a lot of times and this pushed me to discard the account. Since this time, I am in the exposed situation.

ACER 32 Gb
HC 3.2 (not rooted, OTA)

Hi Evereybody,
In addition to my post, I tried other solutions :
- touchdoxn : is running well (even if I prefer the layout of the native mailbox)
- I tried to copy / PAste (email & exchange apk" from another ROM but useless since I am not rooted...
Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

[Q] Issue processus com.android.exhange

Hello !
Since a couple of weeks, I have a pop-up "sudden shutdown of services exchange , processus com.android.exchange".
I have tried :
- removal. installation of my Exchange Account
- hard / soft reset
- ....
Nothing helps !
Utlimately, I tried "Touchdown " which sems ok, but I lost the native mail client and prefer tis one.
Can anyone help me?

I've been getting this too, but was using ezTerry's ROM so assumed it was something to do with that. But as you're using FOTA, I guess not...

i was getting the same error - so i removed big mails from my mailbox via www.
but this was only shortway solution.
the best is - but you need to have root.
1. extract files email.apk and exchange.apk from taboonay 2.1 rom
2. replace those 2 fil3s in your system/app catalog.
not sure if it will work on stock rom, cause it is not deodexed. taboonay rom does not odex files any more

Thanks for your reply. my main concern is that I am 100% under stock ROM & OTA and that I had since recently no issue with my emails accounts.
is it feasible to have any corrupcy only onthe the apk "mail" or "exhange"? If yes, I have tries to copy/paste with these app extracted from a full downloaded ROM (ie Post in the forum), but since I have un unrooted TAB, cannot change these apk...
surely basic stuff !

had the same problem
I was able to reduce the frequency of this error by changing the sync time (down to three days) and frequency (every 30 minutes). I had the errors on everymail check, and wasn't able to get any mail, with these changes at least mails started to come i.
I had these errors while on stock HC3.2 . When i was on stock 3.1, it never happend.
I then failed back to 3.0.1, and installed taboonay 2.1b, and it works perfectly without any changes..

The answer should be pretty obvious by now, don't you think?

I fixed it by deleting all my emails in exchange. Then I wiped the ACER totally clean and reset up email. The problem went away. I assumed there was a corrupt file in my email or something it did not like. I also wiped my internal sdcard clean. After I did that, I no longer had the issue. I blamed it on having my laptop running, syncing, and then having the tablet running syncing while I was deleting emails on the laptop and then the tablet was trying to load them. Anyway, after I wiped it clean, that solved it.

[Q] Exchange email problem

Hi, I read and tired several methods before posting this.
Unfortunately couldn't find the cure for my problem.
I tired energy android and CMYLXGO roms and they work without any problem.
But have a problem with exchange email connection with the roms like Dorimanx and nexus type of roms..
I assume that the problem is with the email.apk and I tired some other aps's, doesn't work..
When I try to set up my exchange acc., kind of error message appears, "can't connect to server" (can't remember the exact wording)
Other than this, roms work perfectly.
Would be glad if I can find the cure for this.

On stock LG 4.2.2 ROM, (Sprint's V8 OTA). I'm having issues getting my emails to sync from the android client to the server. I can add my email and use it as I please, but I used to be able to hit delete, mark read, etc. and I could go into my email on another device and everything I did on my phone would show on the server side. I tried using an AOSP email client - but it just doesn't want to cooperate with me (stuck on validating credentials.)
Anyone know any options?

I do not have a solution for you, but this did the same thing on mine after I had flashed some roms then went to a back to a backup i created. I just re flashed the CleanRom and that fixed this issue.
