Hello everyone,
I just wanted to know if I'm the only one who's been unsuccessfully trying to unlock the bootloader via official Motorola channel. I never had a problem before (Moto X 2013, 2014) but now with the 2015 Pure Edition , it just won't work. I did everything proper in the process and submitted the request on Motorola's site and everything seemed normal - after the final click , i had a message saying to look for an email with the unlock code and to make sure to check the Spam folder as well. I got nothing. I re-submitted the request (w the same code strain from my side) and still nothing. Months later (just recently) I tried again few more times and no results. I double checked if the email was right and just in case I registered the IMEI number again on their website and everything looked fine.
Does anyone have ideas of how to get it from them through a different process or if I could circumvent them altogether?
Any input much appreciated,
Thanks.

Nope... Motorola/Lenovo is your only option. I've never had an issue using a Gmail account to get the email.
I would see about getting in contact with them via chat or phone.

Won't help... Customer service can do nothing with bootloader unlocking. You must go to the official Lenovo forums, there is a special thread in the developer area about bootloader unlocking issues.

Super weird happenings of late on my HD2. It's worked perfectly since I bought it when it first came out. But for the first time today I was trying to text someone and I got the following message: message undeliverable you must first activate messaging with provider
I found this thread where it suggested doing a hard reset and I did. I've also tried to task 29, flash various radios, and still I'm not allowed to text this one particular person without getting and error. It works fine for everyone else, super strange. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any. Thanks in advance.

p.s. If it matters I'm running Kumar's latest 2.10 with HTC Messaging
with the 2.10.xxx radio. The carrier is Tmobile.

Have you called t-mobile about it? It really sounds like the problem is on the network end, as opposed to on your phone, even though it's just isolated to one recipient.
When you compose the message, have you tried manually entering the number instead of choosing it from your contact list?
Tried calling them...
Tried talking to a tmobile rep to no avail. They suggested trying to enter the number manually and still didn't work. I'm blown away that this is happening with only one contact. I can call them so I know it's a legit & active cell number.

Well you can try the steps (except the 8th one) in the link in my sig, they were written to address the same issue. I don't know if they'll solve your problem, but it's worth a look.
Thanks but no cigar
Thanks for the input.......I tried it but didn't work. Hope this issue doesn't expand across my contacts list.
Hello everyone, I came across a problem i cannot seem to be able to fix.
I obtained an activation code from Microsoft but it did not work i reinstalled everything on my phone redid everything thinking i may have done a mistake in the installation process but it did not work.
I called Microsoft to ask them for a different one and they said they could only give 1 code but i at least got a confirmation that the code was correct.
So what could be the problem?
Is their anyway we can skip the Activation Code without needing an actual code.
any solution to this except buying and HD7 would be greatly appreciated.
even installation ones who knows maybe i did do something wrong.
I seen somewhere around here that you have to hard reset your phone, in order for it to work, look around. If that doesn't work then what i would do is call MS and tell them your code isn't working anymore for some reason, and make up some story to them.
how about being another john dough and request a password as a new person?
americans have the privilege of using the stupidly easy chat support

How do you know it didn't work? Did the phone give a message that it was wrong code or what? Is it just the market not working? Are you sure that you just didn't do the registry changes correctly to change it to a hd7?
when I input it and selected activate it said activation failed after I called ms to confirm the code was right I tried it again but it failed. Is. Their something else I have to do besides the instructions on the thread?
yippe!!!!! just scored a code from indonesia using a hidemyass proxy
the cs rep ask me for my phone model, address, full name, etc, then done
he don't ask me for imei!!
So I need some advice here. My fiance and I have the LG Quantum, and just her phone had some strange symptoms yesterday.
We woke up and saw her phone had some unsuccessfully sent text messages. The messages were sent at 4:15AM (we were both asleep), were sent to strange people (not phone numbers, one of the people it was attempted to be sent to was [email protected], another was @law, another was 77, etc.), and the message was just complete gibberish. The only thing that made some sense was it had a link to urbanspoon.com in it (which is a website that her or I have never used, and there isn't an urbanspoon app on WP7 so it wouldn't be that).
Then once we arrived at work, she had an undeliverable message in her inbox at our corporate exchange mail, and it turns out at 1:30am or so her phone attempted to send some strange gibberish emails too. Here was the contents of the email:
http://m.yahoo.com/?.tsrc=3Dattcf&.intl=3DUS11qp011[:]:-]zq,.=0D=
20=0D,[email protected]=0D,029opw anbzkqzbZ\=0DAs=0DZmlirwyw=0DSent=
lfa=0D,.Afklpysfl,wzowotbz ,wq Z Zmm mwr,. =0DZlawo=0DLaw,2,Qww=0DSwooqaaa.=
llz, , Z,.,l. ,mvzlaapq=0D4qpry,qspqeaaw=0D,#=95"!/ zzw,wpiwyallo=0DOq,peda=
ls s=0D,[email protected],lasm owl0\alwRp0*!22262086l =0D,619lq=0D;-):-( ,ow 910,=0D=
=0D/'sz,p=0D!0202!=0DA m.!! my zls2wzq . K!4!502/!1102,[=A51=
Then also her internet explorer had a bunch of tabs opened that she had never visited. One was an urbanspoon website. Two were the same tab, which was a microsoft recommended apps page, and one was a website attempting to go to wap.cingular.com/wap2. Then there was a shortcut saved to her desktop for one of the microsoft websites.
This is really strange behavior and in all of my searching I haven't been able to find anything? Any suggestions? We are going to hard reset it tonight after saving all of the pictures to the skydrive. I will appreciate any feedback anyone in this great community can provide (and I confirmed, nothing like this has even happened to my phone).
edit -> I doubt it matters, but both her and my phone are running the small security fix version after nodo.

Didn't even know there was a security update after nodo... Never heard of those symptoms you describe...
I'd be hard resetting... Way too strange to be fixable...
The official Huawei website no longer provides the bootloader unlock codes for your devices !!! For several weeks the official website of Huawei to request the code (unique for each terminal) returns an error message that says the ID register with Huawei to Cloud and wait 14 days, but who says he expected to receive this error message and also the Subscribing to this service Chinese I find it impossible from Italy. I tried to contact all the way Huawei but I do not want to provide the code, they are also overwhelmed by demands on their official forum but do not answer to anyone. For those who buy one today Huawei (including Honor 7 as I did) you can forget the root, recovery model and whatever else!
i understand that you are frustrated, but i couldn't believe your statement.
yes, it is true that to get this code will be a little bit difficult. But from time to time you can read about successfully unlocking the boot block.
lock here: -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64830825&postcount=31
i am sure, that HUAWEI would remove the unlock button from there web side if they want to discontinue this offer!
The post that you have linked is dated 16 january...today is 25 and the problem there is from 19/20 jan
i tried the English side in the end of 2015 and was not able to get my code there!
I tied the Chinese side AND use model type Y300-0000 to get my code and it works!
Get my device ID with a special keygen (HUAWEI product ID gen)! The at my device shown ID code also did not work! But attention, i have get a virus notification from my antivirus app using this code gen!!!
At a German forum some users tried to use the model type "PLK-TL01H" and it works too.
The problem is, that there are so many ways "to do" described, and nothing will be 100% successful guaranteed!
With FB account or without; Chinese side or English side; ori. ID or Codegen ID; per mail; per special unlock side and so on and so on. Many tries to get the code!
the site says you need to use the Huawei account on the device for more than 14 days did you do this?
i'm hoping it works for me later this week, otherwise, end of my my new found dev enjoyment
Oh, don't bother with vmall, they just sell the things.. try emailing the request to: [email protected]

Huawei said that:
Each account can get unlock code to bootloader only two times!
So just create another account and that all.
I did it yesterday...

Hi,
I have faced the same issue with Huawei site. I did two thing.
Post a support request on their site, called the local hot line here in France.
Both first answered to follow the procedure on the site and/or mail (in English) to there corporate.
Since the site was not responding (server a lays busy), I sent them an an Official letter (both in French and English) stressing the point that both French an European laws require that manufacturer provide this unlocking code with no discussion. The same day I got an email from the hot line asking for EMEI and product ID.
In return they sent me the unlocking code.
I got a different answer from the site support. Telling me again to try on the site.
Furthermore both tried to tell me that unlocking the boot loader will void the warranty. This information is also incorrect according to European laws. What might void the warranty is modification to the operating system. The bootloader by essence is there to load the operating system furthermore for all European country the warning is in English, so it's only valid for UK and Ireland.
nice bit of info @ririo :good:
Well, it's now about 18 or 19 days of trying for me, and still nothing from the site. I emailed yesterday, still heard nothing from that either.
I have the same problem. Can you send me the contact or give it another think i can do?
Sorry but where can I create my huawei account to get the code to unlock my honor 7? ?
Inviato dal mio PLK-L01 utilizzando Tapatalk
@ririo can you post the letter in english please?!
i have the same problem...
Here is the copy of my mail. feel free to use it.
This time I was successful to get the answer through the French hot line., but my mail in English to [email protected] got the same answer "go to the site".
Usually when I get upset by those "crappy" answers from phone manufacturer or operator support I write directly to the C.E.O of the company, often it helps
I have bought last week a honor 7 device through my phone operator in France.
Has mandated by French and European laws, Phone manufacturer are required to provide upon request the bootloader unlocking code to their customer.
After several attempts on your site, I have called the hot line.
They send me a message with instructions, not different from those I had followed by myself.
They also urged me to email you if unsuccessful. In English.
I have open an account at email xxxxxxxxxx
I have activate the account
I have tried to get to the unlock tab under download.
I keep getting the following message from your server.
Your server is not responding.
Could you please let me know how to get the code.
P.S.
I am a 50th are veteran of the computer industry, and I know what a bootloader is.
@ririo thank you very much! email is on the way...
i have found another link: http://androidmtk.com/unlock-bootloader-of-huawei-honor-7
there you will find a description from nov.2015 which described the procedure to get the unlock code.
this is the same that i have done in 11. 2015 and it has worked for me.
be careful, my virus killer has found a unknown virus in the HuaweiProductGen.exe!
I think it is more save to use this tool with Linux/Wine (win-emulator)!
This did not work for me. The site says i must wait 14 days but i read that it would not work after 14 days.
Hello.
My friend lately had some issues with her P9 Lite so she made a hard reset. After she done it, she realized that she do not remember what email was associated with her phone. Now she can't pass registration menu because she is being asked for original email address. What can she do to be able to insert new email instead of lost one?
We both tried to recover email address by putting phone number but she can't remember any of the help questions.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
What e-mail are you talking about? You can always pass device setup without entering e-mails etc.
No I can not. I get the request to input phone owner's email. But even when I do that I get the message that email is incorrect. I have flashed new system but still it does not reset. I think that phone is locked(Factory Reset Protection) what else can I do?
I tried few youtube methods to bypass FRP but all failed(share/assist). If some one know any new method feel free to PW me.
Best Regards
Ok, I found a solution which worked for me. So topic closed.
