Hi,
My charging connector is dead and I would like to change it.
Does anyone know where I can find the official charging connector? And if not possible, at least a reliable one. I'm located in France.
Thanks in advance

You know JerryRigEverything? He has links for spare parts under his videos. Just search it on YouTube.

Yeah I realised that, that needs a whole daughterboard though, you can't just buy the power connector.

Guys, do you use the cable provide or your own standard cables ?
Reason i ask, is the Phillips ones I use are the standard shape and not the cornerless ones HTC provide (hope thats makes sense).

Correction: I have found one 'standard' usb cable that will not fit. This is on a 'Powerchimp' portable charger that uses regular AA batteries to recharge the phone. The plug will not fully insert.
As the title states, what on earth is it for? Some are saying its for the car kit, some say it's a charging port and I think we're all lost. Sorry I can't get a picture because the HD2 IS my camera! Anyone care to shed some light on this matter? I'm looking into a diy wireless charging solution and if these 3 pins are battery connectors, then I can use this port on the back.
Cheers!

It's for use with in car hands free and GPS. You take the back cover off and just click the phone in and hey presto, it's all snug and secure.

Any possibility of charging through this port? A few pin out diagrams would be useful but maybe I'm just pushing it now. haha

most definitely there must be... since it does charge with the car kit it seems.
You should be ok by checking with a digital tester the voltage output from those metal contacts

Good idea. I'll give that a shot now. If all goes as planned, great! But next, to work out how to jam an inductive coil behind the cover!

You'll be lucky! I think, think, you can get some whereby you need to remove the battery and the cradle fits in it's place. I would Google it, but I am hungover and feeling lazy.

Hmmm. Can't seem to find my multi meter. Anyone able to test if any of these connections have something to do with the battery terminals? At least until I can get my hands on a multi meter.
I've been searching Google and I surprisingly couldn't find out what accessories are included with the US version. Maybe I could've searched through all of the lame reviews, but I figured I ask you owners.

To be clear, does this mean that a 30-pin to USB plugs into a USB wall charger?

I incidentally broke the connector on a ribbon cable running around the N10 battery. It's the one under the left thumb in this picture (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/nexus10-takeapart-006.jpg) Anyone know what is the cable for? Thanks!

It should be the digitizer cable.

So without this cable, the tablet would not able to turn on?
The trouble is that I can't find a place (ebay, amazon, etc.) to buy it.

Without that you can't use touch screen.
Just google for the string "MANTA GT-P8110 GT-P8110KTL" or just "GT-P8110KTL" that is the cable component number.
Here's one: https://www.amazon.com/Ribbon-Digitizer-Samsung-GT-P8110-Google/dp/B00LM04FWG
EDIT: Here's another one: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-For-Samsung-GT-P8110-P8110-LCD-Flex-Ribbon-Cable-FPCB-For-NEXUS-10-Repair-Part/32707310972.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.25.3ZIVSJ&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_2_10057_10065_10056_10055_10054_10069_10059_10058_10017_10070_10060_10061_10052_10062_10053_10050_10051,searchweb201603_4&btsid=2fee8e97-c423-4d9b-aa77-0078618d7d71
Unfortunately the cable from both links you provided is incorrect. I have seen them before, and it looks like an LCD cable based on the color, shape, and the model number on the pictures.

I am curious if there is a way to test individual lines on the cable to see which has failed (if it is not visible - i meant)

Bought new battery from amazon-newnet
I had to place again old Battery as new one collapse at 40%
doing that clip broke and now....
Same here! Any part source?
I did exactly the same thing replacing a battery. I found someone local to solder and bought what I thought was the correct part (https://www.parts4repair.com/45pin-lcd-fpc-connector-for-samsung-google-nexus-10-p8110-2pcs/). But alas this is NOT the correct part. This is for the LCD flex cable not the digitizer.
Anyone have leads on where to source the correct connector?

Yes I've seen this, common issue with factory charger seen a lot of pictures of burned up micro USB type C
The white thing is so obvious in the middle. I wonder if they checked at all during QC. Maybe they think the USB-A side is also can be flipped.

Omg this is so humiliating.
Anyway, the cable is still dead whether the USB A is reversible or not. LOL. I swapped with another cable and it straight work. If LeEco can't build proper reversible USB A cable, just stick to normal USB A with reversible USB C head.
