Jio data issue on zenfone max pro m1 - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

I am facing the issue that after using my plan data on jio it is not switching to my add on pack and my speed is restricted to 64 kbps
But on putting the sim into my other mobile the add on pack immediately works as expected.
Is it a handset problem?

Here no any problem since first sell.

It's most likely the internet and network settings aren't configured properly. If you know how to get APN information and change network settings you can try that. If you don't know how to do that, then you should visit a Jio service centre and get help from representative.

Did you first use jio sim on other imei / othermobile at the time of pack activation?
and later u inserted the sim in zenfone? coz the data pack or add ons are limited to on mobile / imei.
such services cant be used on changed devices.
Thats the prob with jio, it registers and remembers the last used device with the sim.

A problem with mobile data and dual sim function !,plz help

Hi guys ,i hope u can help me with this..
recently i just got the grand 2 like 2 months ago...when i tried to activate mobile data (of sim1) i had a problem ,it's not working,
I tried to trouble shoot the problem by changed apn's and stuff like that with the cust service,,nothing,
however,when i remove the 2nd sim the data of the sim1 ( which i want to activate) starts working ,I always make sure that sim1 os on wcdma and sim 2 mode is on gsm...i had sim 2 as clipped micro sim,however went to store and got a brand new micro sim to see if the clipped one was the problem ,nothing changed ,also swapped their position and placed sim1 in place of sim 2 and voice versa ,nothing happened same problem ,,,I also sometimes get a message saying:
the mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid sim card inserted ,,and only the restart button available and u can't override it by pressing home key or anything so restarting in this case would be mandatory ,,that's why i chaned the 2nd sim card but nothing happened.
now i still can't get mobile data on my neww phone from sim1 and it's driving me crazy ,i think it's a software issue but am not sure cuz when i go to sim card manager and change the data service network to sim2 then put it back on sim1 ,some times the H+ appears and it works ,but not always and not for a long time,,,,,so the problem is between mobile data and dual sim functionality ,do u have this as a common issue ???,,please help
again ts steps i made:
1-re positioned sims in place of each other.
2-changed sim2 into an original micro sim instead of the clipped one i used to have.
3-i reset phone to factory defaults but same problem appeared

I think it is a hardware issue. take it to the service center and insist on getting the issue sorted out as they will try to fob you off with some excuse or other.

Hi.
I was searching for a solution for exactly the same problem.
I have the same phone as you and I get this to work if I select the option to allow Roaming, even though I fix the network operator to my provider's network. Strange but it should work.

Here is the best solution: I faced the same problem and fixed it doing the following...
First restart your phone, when you do that you will see the sim configuration settings screen appears at the boot time and allows you to choose which sim card to use for the Data Service Network... it has three options
1. Sim1
2. Sim2
3. Data service is Off
the third option is active and set by default which is why my cellphone was not working internet and i changed it to Sim1, and it worked perfectly so you have to try it again and again by changing the sim card in their slot... hope that helps!

facing network issues On my One Plus Two

Hey guys i have one plus two and its running on oxygen os 3.1.0 i am facing problems on my one plus two i.e first of all i have 2 sim cards one jio 4g n other is vodafone india both sims were running perfectly on my moto g4plus previously now when i have one plus two i got it from my brother so i put jio sim on sim1 it was showing no network and then i put vodafone on sim2 then i didnt got any network unless in disabled my jio card i am getting network on my vodafone but the problem is that after making call network get lost and come back again after 2 seconds and then i can call once and i need to manully search for network on my vodafone sim if it cand find network both sims still work great on moto g4 is it problem with my device only ?
and now i have network on my sim2 vodafone and set to 2g only and wen i enable sim 1 both network get lost and its unable to register on any netwokr on siim 1 and on sim 2 it wont search!

Jio is not fully supported on this phone, partly due to missing VoLTE support in firmware and partly because of how Jio doesn't support GSM/2G which is the standby mode for the secondary SIM as the phone doesn't support dual 4G mode. In other words, if first SIM is in 4G mode, second is forced to 2G, and this of course causes problems for Jio SIM.

Unable to use SIM2 when using 4G in SIM1

I have purchased this phone on June 2016. Initially, I can say, this is the phone model created with bugs everywhere. First device received from Amazon.in stopped to show network and I took replacement of that phone and its only due to its long lasting battery life. Again with the use of 2 months, this phone started problem in Battery and I gave it to Service Center and they replaced battery to make it working back.
I have purchased Reliance Jio SIM some days ago and tried it. But problem is, Jio has very poor calling capacity as of now and I have to use another SIM which is of Idea. Now, it is wired but I am facing problem as below.
If I change network mode to 2G/3G for Jio SIM, it doesn't work because it has only 4G network.
If I set Jio to 4G, I am not getting network in SIM2 which is automatically set to 2G.
I have tried to check the problem with Airtel and Idea combination as well as Airtel and Jio combination which makes it clear that this is not network related problem. Is there anyone in community who is facing same problem with this device or I am the only one and I have to visit service center again.

You can set only 1 SIM to 4G. Which automatically sets the other to 2G/3G. You can use 4G network either in Jio or the other.

network problem in 3s prime

Hello, I'm not able to use mobile data in 3s prime, wifi is fine but when I switch on the mobile data network goes off. No services or emergency appears in notifications. I have formatted my mobile, tried all settings but no results. I have jio sim but can't use it
Set Jio APN as:
Jio4g as access point name
Jionet as APN
APN type default and save
Set another APN
ims as access point name
ims as APN
APN type ims , and save
Now reboot your phone
Already tried it. It works only for few. Minutes. Then it goes off again.
Can anyone suggest me should I sell my 3s prime, as my network problem continues to hurt me.

Try flashing miui lastest global official dev rom in edl (download) mode.
Can I flash developer rom on stable rom. It doesn't allows.

One more advice, try checking the same network availability using different smartphone. It's basically common with low price ranged smartphones. Due to large number of concurrent users (in jio), you may not get signal/low signal inside home. You may have to get your phone to open space to get proper signal.
So, if you have plans of selling this phone and buying another, there is no guarantee that you'll get proper signal in your home. This happened to me also during initial stages of jio.

OK, it could be possible for jio. But when I use Data with Vodafone sim network goes off too. It says - no service or emergency calls. So, what I think it has something to do with mobile data. I had no such issues with Vodafone before. Problem has started since last month when I got 3s prime. I was using jio/Vodafone on Motorola g4plus and letv 1s,then it was fine.

So, this might be the problem.
1) Turn you data speed to 3G or 2G and reboot your device, then check the internet connection. If you get data services without no service or emergency, then call your service provider to enable 4G in your SIM. (Your SIM might be 4G but it might not yet be enabled).
2) If still you get same no service or emergency, then I recommend you to reset your device and check once again
3)dial *#*#4636#*#* , select the SIM and tell me which connectivity does it show or just post the screenshot of that mode

Hello guys, good news for 3s prime jio users. Finally my network problem in 3s prime is solved.Thanks to all, who guided me and gave their valuable suggestions. Those who are facing slow jio net speed and network problem in 3s prime, here are the settings for best jio network and speed.

One more thing ,I have flashed miui 8-7.7.13 beta rom on my 3s Prime.which has helped me in solving network problem.
Earlier I had miui 8- 8.5.0 global stable ROM in my device.

No Network on Essential phone in India

I am currently in India, and trying to use my Essential PH1 with a Vodafone India 4G sim card. The SIM is not registering with the phone, and I am unable to get any network. I keep getting the message "your SIM is not allowed to use this network". I have tried contacting the local service center, but they tell me that the handset settings need to be changed. The same SIM works well with other phones in India.
I am using a Vodafone India 4G sim.. its a 'postpaid' connection (if that matters). When I manually select the network, all the available networks are listed, when I select "choose automatically", a message pops up "already registered on the network", but i dont get any signal.
When I manually try to select Vodafone IN from the list, pop up message says "your SIM is not allowed to use this network"
I have checked with Vodafone customer care, and they are sure its a phone config issue.
The same SIM works perfectly fine in any other handset. (Currently running the same SIM in Nexus 5)
Since this phone has not been launched in India yet, there is no technical knowledge or troubleshooting database available locally. Would you be able to help me with the correct settings so that the I can continue using the phone in India?

Received an OTA today for the device, Airtel and Vodafone are now registering ,. Jio is not able to register.

I'm having a similar problem in Japan with Softbank, which ironically bought Sprint - the sole carrier of the phone in the USA.
There is no signal at all, and when selecting Softbank manually from the list of carriers, an error message stating it can't authenticate on the network popped up.
I faced the same issue a week ago, with both Airtel and Jio not registering the device on their networks. Yesterday, I booted up the phone again, installed the OTA, and was on my way to the Airtel store to talk about it. When I put in my SIM and turned it on, it got a signal and LTE data. I didn't try the same with Jio.
The most likely reason for the phone not being detected initially is that Essential has just one SKU, as far as I know, with all IMEIs of the 99x series. That's the typical IMEI series for Verizon and Sprint in the US, which are CDMA networks. Most other GSM IMEIs are of the 35x series.
I had planned to contact Essential support about this, but I didn't get down to it. I'm not sure what exactly made it work the second time. Maybe the OTA update changed something, or maybe Airtel took a while to auto-register (whitelist) the IMEI of this phone after it first detected it being used with a legitimate Airtel SIM. Regardless, it works just fine now.
NOTE: After I was able to get a signal, I could see the LTE symbol with no internet connectivity. I changed the preferred network type to "Global" in Settings and then it worked just fine. The default setting of LTE/TDSCDMA/CDMA/EVDO/GSM/WCDMA didn't allow data, only calls and SMS.

When using outside of the U.S.A change network type to Global. Secondly insert the Sim (with the phone turned off). You should receive service when you turn the device on. In case you don't, give it a moment.
I had to replace my Sim as a last resort and then it worked without a problem.
