Awesome, thank you! Getting ready to finally open up my phone today and request the bootloader unlock by calling Huawei as @Tkkg1994 suggested. Going to install TWRP and root (the big thing I was waiting for - once you root, it's hard to go back to stock, lol). I hope we get xposed soon...I read in the recent xda article that it's almost there for Nougat.

Yes. If you have unlocked bootloader and this tool, you can do anything
I am a complete newbie in this so I have a question:
my unit is model mha-al00 ...its bought in china.
my question is, is it possible to flash it with south east asian firmware I.e. singaporean firmware, and if so, which firmware number is that and is it available on Duaraa server?
if not, then if I flash with european firmware, will all functionality and software features of the phone work without problem?
thanks and sorry if I asked stupid questions.
---------- Post added at 02:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:51 PM ----------
one more question, is there such thing as international firmware? is that the same as european firmware?
---------- Post added at 03:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:54 PM ----------
so by flashing non chinese firmware, can someone confirm that app twin will allow using double whatsapp account instead of wechat?

Yes, European firmware is basically international firmware. It's actually updated more quickly than south asia region firmware. You should try and flash it and see if you like it. Basically, the firmware is all either Chinese or non-Chinese. The non-Chinese firmwares are more or less the same.
You will lose some functionality here and there. Themes will not work any more, for example. Your biggest gain will be better google integration. Please try it and see. Should you want to, you can always flash back to Chinese firmware afterwards.
App twin will not work with WhatsApp unless you unlock your bootloader and flash a non-Chinese oeminfo. I have done that, but you need to get the unlock code from Huawei.
Since I'm on MHA-L29 C636b110 South Asian firmware and want to be up to date:
1) Should I just change my dns to your recommended dns in the B126 thread as @alexhee did and update via OTA before unlocking my bootloader and proceeding to install twrp and root?
OR
2) Should I use this thread's method, permanently change my oeminfo to non-chinese C432, update to latest B126 via OTA, unlock my bootloader, and proceed to install twrp and root?
**Should my bootloader be unlocked before any of the two methods above?**
Really appreciate any help and advice on BEST method to keep all functionality.

Because you have the South Asian firmware, I may have to make modifications to support your device on this server.
Please give it a try using the free code, and see if it works.

Ok will do, thanks. So, it's better to change my oeminfo by doing your FunkyHuawei method as opposed to changing the DNS on the router and downloading the B126 OTA via system update as @alexhee did? http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/ota-b126-available-france-t3514682/page3

As I understand until now, you only support Chinese and European phone version, and convert the firmware between this two, right?
So if I have C185B110, I can't flash with your method?

You should be able to flash any of the European firmwares using the HiSuite method. eRecovery method will not work unless I customize a version for your phone.
I've just tested the method (China => EU) works flawlessly. Thanks a lot

If you're going to change oeminfo, my FunkyHuawei method will be a portion of what you do, but you'll also need BL unlock and TWRP to completely change oeminfo. Basically, what you should do is PM me for more information once your BL is unlocked, and I'll walk you through it step by step because it's a delicate process and I don't want you to get a brick.

Thanks. I'll do that once I get my BL unlock. Have to wait for Huawei China to open in 8 hours in order to call because Huawei UK won't unlock it since the phone is Asia Pacific region.

2. HiSuite

This is where things get a little bit complicated. We use HiSuite to install non-authorized ROMs. For example, betas, or other ROMs that Huawei does not want people to install. From FunkyHuawei, you will see a link of a tool to download. You must download this tool if you wish to use the HiSuite installation method.

Sorry for this, but I can't find/see the link for the tool on your site. Can you tell how can I download FunkyHisuite.exe app?

Latest firmware?
How do I know which firmware is the latest ??
I have the duo sim EU version.
With yesterday the OTA 126 downloaded...
I saw on YouTube a 135 firmware..?
Thanx!!
Installation error (CHINA-TO-EURO)
I've set DNS correctly (verified by successfully getting to www dot funky huawei dot com. I requested the CHINA-TO-EURO firmware (and got "request successful), entered eRecovery on the phone, and went to download. As expected, firmware name was "FunkyHuawei". It gets all the way through the download process, but then at about 81% of installation, I get "Recovery failed" with an exclamation mark.
My phone is a MHA-AL00 running Chinese firmware.
Any ideas?
Does your tool supports the huawei mate 9 pro?
Hello everyone,.
Long post but please read it .... I'm really very upset..
I'm new to this forum so if anyhow i say or do something incorrectly please ignore..
I saw a thread here in which there was written how to flash/update the latest Android N 7.0 [EMUI 5] on Huawei P9 lite vns-l21. I read it and did exactly what was written there and i flashed Emui 5 successfully....
And i made a full Backup of MM too.
After that,
It was working flawlessly. There was no bugs tho it was a Beta version. But that update was missing l "software update" option so i thought this isn't official i guess.. so after installing i did a factory reset so maybe i could get the software update option and enjoy the latest software like new one.... But all in vein i didn't get that option.
After a couple of weeks i thought i should rollback to official Marshmallow software
And when I tried to rollback to official to MM, i saw there wasn't TWRP recovery installed. [using power + volume down] which was there when i was flashing nougat..
So i searched on xda and whole internet and found out a way to open the recovery by going into dialer and dialing a code. I actually did that and i was in TWRP recovery i was very happy... After that i was ready to rollback to mm i downloaded the firmware from Huawei web site.
I dont know what happened wrong when i was flashing MM and my device got bricked.
After that.. i searched the whole internet trying to fix the issue but all in vein nothing was working...
You name it i did it
- Dload method
- Sp flash tool
- Fastboot method
- adb sideload method
- fastboot system.img, boot.img, e.t.c.
Literally Everything.
I gave my device to Huawei customer service center and they returned it back after a couple of days the device was still bricked.
After that day
Im still trying to fix the issue But whatsoever i do this device doesn't flash anything.....
Now there's only last option for me.. i saw on couple of posts some people were saying they fixed Their device through a software named "DC phoenix" if this software can really save my device please tell me...Please.
And Please help me out and tell me if there's any way to fix my device? If so please let me know.. I'd be really great full...
Thank you so much for reading this much long post :')
I'd be looking forward for some kind people's suggestions!
Man, you have make mistakes...
First, once you are in Nougat you have to flash recovery, only works on Nougat is Revolution Recovery...
Second, when you roll back to MM, you have to flash Oeminfo for dload method to work...
That brick can be avoided if you have READ arround before making mistakes...
Now, related to DC Phoenix, your problem is solved via a fee about 10-20 EUROS...
You have to make account, buy some credit after they analize your phone and tell you the price...
Dc will fix your phone but not cost 10-20€ its cost 119$ the license, but yes it will unbrick your phone

Man, is not need to buy the software...
It have to download client application, make account on site and buy some credits...
BTW, I think is some confusion here... By DC Phoenix i mean DC Unlock which is client/server application...
What i heard from anothers and from me personal, the fee not raise more then 20-30 euros, in case of most great damage...
For example a „classic” brick (unlock bootloader+FRP unlock+flash boot-recovery-system) is about 19 euro in credits...
Dc unlock not gona hellp in that case, dc unlock dont have option to restore soft, just to unlock carrier and unlock frp

Man, you know what you know, me, i know from what i heard from anothers and from my experience with unbrick P9 Lite...
The use of this software unfortunately costs 15 Euro
Download DC Phoenix
Exclusive features:
Fixes Huawei firmware problems (bricked, bootloop, hanging in fastboot mode, etc.)
Can write firmware via Fastboot despite blocked Bootloaders / FRP
Write Huawei firmware UPDATE.APP directly by fastboot
Can completely delete and write images (DC Unlocker Maker Images in DGTKS format)
Writes any ROM via Fastboot without signature and compatibility testing!
Notes / Warning:
1. The credit is deducted once, after that you can flash the same device several times free of charge within 72 hours.
2. DC Phoenix allows you to flash any file on the device, which is neither checked by the software nor by the device. Watch what you write on the device!

Hi,
I'm stuck in fastboot mode too. Since DC phoenix seems to be the only solution I will take a look.
However every fastboot command to the device I type, I have the following message : "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)". So I'm afraid that DC phoenix may not work.
Was this your case?
Thanks,
It will work man!
Since phone is in fastboot mode, phone is alive...
Go with DC Phoenix and will be ok!

Hi you all,
I've already tried to flash various ports of the official TWRP: prague, berlin, hi6250, duk, frd, vtr, greatslon, elite, meticulus etc. None seems to run, each one makes the phone stuck in a bootloop.
Does anyone know which the right one is?
I found this...
I found this but it did not adapt to the version of our team (In my case SLA-l03) you can try it and comment how it has gone

is yours maybe a Nova Lite 2017? If so, can you post here a link to direct download?
Is your phone a dual-SIM or a single-SIM?
Yours might be the right one.
I really appreciate all the help you can give me.
Thanks
---------- Post added at 10:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:42 PM ----------
If I have understood correctly, SLA-L02 and SLA-L03 are single-SIM models.
SLA-L22 and SLA-L23 are dual-SIM models.
So yours should be good for mine, too.
As I don't know Russian, so I ask you to post a link to download it directly.
Thanks
Good news
The device has names like Nova Lite 2017, Huawei Enjoy 7, Y6 Pro 2017 and P9 Lite Mini.
That may be the case, SLA-L02 and SLA-L03 are unique SIM models.
SLA-L22 and SLA-L23 are dual SIM models. (In my case SLA-l03)
Good news, apparently the Russian friends have managed to release root on our device, only the SLA-L22 version, for those who do not want to risk the device it is not recommended to use the method.
- TRANSLATED BY ME, I FEEL IT FOR BAD TRANSLATIONS--
STEPS.
1.- you must unlock the boot manager. (There are already methods) (there will be a typical warning notification every time you turn on your smartphone)
2.- Say the post, you must have the SLA-L22C10B120 or SLA-L22C10B130 patch.
3.- Use of the ADB tools and flash boot.img
If you want to restore your original boot.img, I leave them both (Root and Original) (maybe the system language is in Russian)
Mention: Maybe it works in SLA-TL10 or SLA-AL00
I can not put direct links, delete spaces:
Link: med ia fire com
/file/plfbe6ly67upepb/SLA-22_and_TL00_AaL00.zip
---------- Post added at 03:41 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:31 AM ----------
The Chinese version is SLA-TL10 and SLA-AL00.
The name changes at will to versions of the world, same firmware, different name SLA-22
Thanks.
Unfortunately, the build name installed on my device is SLA-L02C432B133.
As you can see, we have different region codes. So I can't install the patched boot image you suggested.
There are no Russian firmwares neither here nor here. As I can't find and flash any Russian firmware, so I can't flash this patched boot image.
European region code is C432 and Russian region code is C10.
What do you think about flashing this boot image file? Is it worth it? Did you try it on your device? Does it work?
Let me know

Pie cannot be rooted. There is a method allowing you to downgrade the os. but maintaining the same boot loader revision. 5th digit from end of firmware.
