I bet it's tiny, or Is it more than one pixel?
Picture? I'd use the display tester app and see if it's still there all the time on several colored screens. If so, send it in for replacement.
Its prob a small cluster of pixels seeing how obvious it is. No pics too small. Im sending it in for replacemenr for wifi and feeezing issues anyways.

I have one single white/bright pixel on the left side of my screen as well. I just got my nexus 10 today, so that is kind of frustrating. I was wondering with the PLS display a white pixel means a dead pixel or a hot/stuck pixel. I am hoping it is the later one, since in most IPS displays a dead pixel is black, but I am not sure if the same rule applies to the PLS display.
Does anyone knows if there is a fix for it or if it's dead for good?
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=pixel+curer I've never used it but this might work. Worth a try I guess. I would call Google though for sure.

Thanks for your reply.
I tried a couple of similar apps and they did no help. I'd call Google too if I was in US, however the device was brought to me in Brazil as a gift, so that is not really an option
I guess I will just have to name the pixel and leave it alone...

Ok guys, I think I have found a way to fix the burn in on the moto x for the navigation bar and status bar. There is this app called screen diagnostic where it will have a fullscreen image to make the status bar white and reverse the colors of the navigation bar. But there may still be burn in on the status bar because the icons are white and the status bar is white with the app. That's where you guys will come in handy. We need people of every carrier who are rooted with gravity box installed to take a screen shot of there phone on nova launcher with no dock and no icons with a black wallpaper with the status bar and navigation bar on the negative colors. Then we need those people to share it here and we can use the screenshot with the app! Boom! burn-in fixed for people who don't want to root!
Good find. I haven't personally had a problem with burn in but it's nice to have this option

I use Screen Burn-in Tool, which is made for AMOLED screens. Using all white wears out the organic materials used in AMOLEDs, especially the blue pixels.
Watch more porn or movies/shows (Netflix/Hulu) or YouTube - anything full screen with moving images.
I just hope the burn in doesn't get as bad as my gnex did.

How real of an issue is this with normal use? I've never noticed any burn in on any prior AMOLED screens, but I also never leave my screens on for hours at a time.

I fired up my Nexus again after using the Moto X for about a week, and holy crap that screen was almost painful to look at. It's got a nice big Pandora "P" burned into the middle of the screen from having it docked in the car with the screen always on.

Only phone I ever had with AMOLED was the GNex. I never really had my screen on for too long either but over a year the status bar and nav bar had burn in issues. It wasn't really noticeable unless you were made aware of it. I would imagine they have gotten better at it but it is simply good to be proactive about it, especially when you are considering keeping the phone upwards of 2 years as a daily driver.

I think with the new "Immersive Mode" feature in Kit Kat people will start noticing this more.

This is my 3rd amoled phone...never had any sort of burn in. You must have to leave something there with the screen on for a lonnnnnnng time. Lol

The navigation bar seems to have burned into my screen. I can still see it when I'm turning the phone on and when an app goes fullscreen. (Dimmer then it usually is. Mostly on grays.) Hopefully it'll just go away on it's own. I'll update this tomorrow if it went away or not.

I haven't yet seen this. But I would recommend using the one button nav option in the moto app. Life changing

I'm using Resurrection Remix. Not the stock ROM.
I have seen screen burn in my brothers Moto G4 plus he still has the problem
Yup, burn in still there.
It's dimmed now. It's still there but you can barely see it.
No burn in problems here. I've been using one button nav since I got it though.

If it's not as noticeable now, then it probably isn't burn in. Burn in occurs on LED panels, not LCD (which this what this phone has). Historically, this has been a problem with Samsung and their AMOLED screens, not with IPS LCD screens.

Just wish I could figure out how to get rid of it.
Just checked Pixel 2 XL at Verizon store, screen is brighter than last year's Pixel but has banding issue.

Hey sorry but can you explain what you mean by banding issues? Thank you in advance ?
In the fist pic I can see a dim horizontal band just between the paragraphs... that?

The phone has been on display for less than 12 hours. I don't think it's burn in.

It's not burn-in. This is a known issue with OLED panels. LG's OLED TVs are famous for banding issues like this. It's a simple problem of not being able to supply electricity consistently across the entire panel and some rows of pixels get less electricity and so the OLEDs do not illuminate as much.

You get a bid amoled screen with AOD that works as a improved led. Something like that. Look at other phones with the same design and You Will see
Yep, AOD works for me. Have it on my Pixel...

A notification LED would be nice! I hope it has one. Never had a device with AOD but I'd prefer an LED myself.
No way aod is as bright and visible as led. I'm going to use their slogan on them and not buy this device.
"Never Settle"
Well I guess you can't expect to call batman using your screen
AFAIK there were rumors that said the LED is the bottom like on the Nexus 5 back then. I can't seem to find the proximity or ambient light sensor on the images so it could be. On the other hand I would say they have removed it in favor of the smaller notch. If I need to upgrade from my OnePlus 5T I'll probably have to choose between the OnePlus 6 and 6T. So either bigger notch with LED and headphone jack or smaller notch without them. Makes me not wanna buy a new phone...
Oneplus are making it very difficult to like this new phone.
They could make small part/dot on top of the display, use few pixels to act as a LED when screen is off. It's OLED so it shouldn't be a problem.?
So does it have led notifications?

No it doesn't.
Guys does it for sure have AOD or is it lift up display ambient display like the OnePlus 6? Anyone has a link that lists or confirms AOD? I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and no one talks about AOD which is VERY important if it doesn't have a notification LED.

I am definitely out then. One thing is the headphone jack being removed but the only other thing I liked about oneplus is led notifications.

No LED, and no AOD. Stupid as hell. I've been so hype for this release, and now no headphone jack, no led, and no AOD to replace it? Wtf is that. Guess I'll never settle for a OP again, unfortunately.
There's got to be some way to have the thing make some sort of blinking notification in the absence of the LED.
I'm fairly primed to buy one of these (coming from a 3T, to be used on ATT in the USA). Lack of LED is a big hit though. I gloat to my iPhone friends how I know which email account just had a new message via the LED being a specific color (I use Light Flow).

I was SERIOUSLY considering switching from my 6 to the 6T, but no notification LED and no AOD is a no go for me! How are you supposed to tell you have a notification if your phone is sitting on a table?
Yep. I don't want to root this phone and if it doesn't at LEAST include Always On Display, then it's a no go.
