Android 8.1, mirroring/casting to anycast dongle the audio is out of sync with the video. I tried MX Player, vlc, YouTube, Google photos,...
My Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 & Moto X Pure worked fine with the RK Cast (anycast) dongle.
I've read people having problems connecting but not out of sync issue. Also video quality is pretty bad. The HDMI out is good though.
Ideas?
And has anyone used cast on Android P?

Recently got a Note 3. Other than the goofy, "your internet connection is unstable" error every few seconds when on WiFi, my wife and I are loving the phone.
What is the best way to stream live video from our Note 3's camera to our TV or play videos we recorded earlier on our TV?
Our TV has a Minix Android X7 box hooked up to it (running Android 4.2) and I tried the WiFi Display but was met with some HDCP error. (The Minix box told me that the Note 3 doesn't support HDCP but as it turns out....I don't think my Minix box supports Samsung devices for WiFi display.) We also have a Roku 3 hooked up to it.
Did some reading and I think Allcast or Twonky might accomplish my goal but I'm not sure. Do they support pushing live video to either of the two devices I mentioned above? I would like solution to be able to handle 1080p with no stuttering.
Thanks
My Nexus Player somehow linked up to my Sony TV remote. Any idea how this happened? My Nexus Player remote unpairs constantly and I think that is the reason why.
Actually I fought a lot with my LG to get the tv's remote to pair with nexus, so my case was the other way around. It seems that in order to use the tv remote with the player I had to enable HDMI-CEC on my TV. This HDMI-CEC has different names on different tvs. For LG is Simplink, for Sony I believe it's Bravia Sync. If you disable this, I think the remote will not pair. However, there is a chance the the TV will not switch to Player input when casting a video. I have them both paired (nexus player remote and tv remote) and I have no problems.
I am no longer getting video as of today on my Nexus Player, on my Panasonic TV. Audio works fine still, and the Google logo shows up, so HDMI isn't dead.
Just finished doing a format and flash to the latest Marshmallow version out for Fugu, and the issue persists.
Any idea what's going on with this thing?
Thanks!
Solved! Had to do a hardware reset of my Yamaha AV Receiver - seems to be a known rare issue with my model.
Instructions how to do this on the Yamaha RX-V377: http://faq.yamaha.com/us/en/article/audio-visual/av-receivers-amps/rx/rx-v377_black_u/10790/8325
Crazy. I run full android M on nexus and it worked fine on my Samsung TV. But I took it to work and the sharp TV in the break room would say "received unsupported video output" and go blank after the google logo. My Panasonic TV will display but everything gets very distorted and artifacted. I also have a Yamaha receiver however I am using an HDMI port directly into the TV. I also noticed the Samsung TV in the office at work. Had mo issues either..
Whats up XDA recently the strangest thing has happened.
My TV shows and Movies on the "Play Movies" app no longer send a dolby digital signal to my AVR. Neither does Netflix.
Even weirder other apps do come through with dolby digital. For example: HDHomeRun - BETA gives me 5.1 sound with no issue.
My setup is kind of convoluted but, I go:
Sheild TV - HDMI out > HDMI in - not the ARC input - Samsung One Connect - Optical Out > Optical In - Sony AVR
(I'm using the Samsung One Connect because my AVR is older and does not Support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2.)
Also I've enabled HDMI passthrough in the Shield TV settings.
This setup works perfect for Watching 4K, but for some reason I've lost my 5.1 surround sound. Any Idea what happened?
Just replaced my Android TV with a Samsung series 5. How can I enable casting to it?
I've found loads of threads about enabling Miracast, but these focus on screen casting. I just want to be able to cast the BT Sport app.
I have a Sammie TV as well. I ended up just getting a 4k Chromecast. Makes life so much easier. I use Videostream app to stream PC movies to Chromecast from another room and control playback controls on my phone.
