I can confirmed that the Stereo Speakers greats are. They are loud enough, sound great and very clearly!!! But when you turn the Dolby Atmos on, WOW! Dolby Atmos makes the Speakers sound Amazingly.

Uh oh
did they turn on dolby atmos?
I've got it now and yea Atmos cannot be disabled when using speakers. It's really not good compared to the s9
very good, loud and clear even when driving with the phone on my lap (for phone calls)
EDIT: for youtube and movies is very loud and clear with good details ( compared to my s7 edge), watched some Dolby atmos videos on youtube and the surround/stereo effect is very good
it will be interesting to compare with the galaxy s9 plus that has great speakers
No contest, the s9 plus wins
Compared both sides by side and it's not even close
Speakerphone is decent. It's nothing special, but gets the job done.

About its Speaker Volume, honestly i would vote 3.5/5 . Its speaker volume is not loud enough for outdoors usages.
However i believe the clarity out of what you can hear is good after all.
Its Earphone/Headphone Sound is good, along side Huawei Histen Sound Effects makes it even better. i would rate around 4.5/5 here for headphone sound.

While the speaker on the Honor Play is decent, it's not as loud as i'd like it to be. But the quality is really nice and there's no distortion.

As well as its speakers,
Cirrus Logic CS35L41 Speaker Amp x2
360 Reality Audio hardware decoding
Dolby Atmos tuned by Sony Pictures and Sony music
DSEE Ultimate
are exclusive and make its analog jack perform better than others subjectively.
Without turning on the Dolby Atmos, the speakers sounds horrible. It sounds hollow, tinny, and vibrates way too much, and thats before turning on that vibration effect. The vibration effect pretty much does nothing to enhance the experience and makes your hand goes numb from it constantly vibrating.
Turning on Dolby Atmos made the speaker sound a bit better, its clearer and doesnt sound hollow at all. But I still think my 2 year old Note 9 still sounds a tad better than the Sony. At least the Sony doesnt have downward firing speakers.
share ur atmos eq settings here

I was kind of surprised I thought it sounds better than My A71, at least to me it does.
I know samsung has never been known for their sound quality but this does sound a bit better, but It's no flagship quality.
Sound is quite loud in terms of general usage but can be completely muted with fingers on the speakers grille . Dual speakers for this device should have been given like the s9 series.
room for improvement via update for bass or something. Nevertheless they provided Dolby Atmos in headphones at least with improves sound in headset by miles.
More loudness needed.
Speaker is not upto the mark.
It should be more louder.

Speakers sound great, use the app Sound assistant from Samsung and set equalizer on Rock with Dolby on.

That sounds way worse to me than default.
