Hi there,
I bought P8 Lite from Greece as a Single Sim.
I manage thru internet to find some firmware updates and i end up updating my P8 Lite with B170 and I made it finally dual sim.
Now Wifi, bluetooth are not working at all...
The only way to make wifi to work is to put it on top of the router, and then find the connection and working.
I saw on various sites that many people having the same problem with B170.
I made a search for downgrade, but still i don't have understand how i can downgrade my phone to a working firmware.
(I have tried resets and etc but nothing happened).
There is any solution to this issue ?
Please i need help to this one is like not having a phone anymore.
Thank you in advance.
How I Install an older firmware after Rooting the phone.
In the end i managed finally to root my P8 Lite,
I have B170 on it...
But I don't understand how I can install / Downgrade B120 for example now that is rooted..
The only firmwares i have is .zip files, when you unzip they have only the Update.App file inside.
There is anyone that can help me out with this issue ??

I did that already, you cannot downgrade the firmware... all the times i tried, i have update fail msgs...
you cannot go from B170 to B132 for example...
thats why i am trying another way to do it...but no luck unfortunately, not even with google (i have spend like a week searching),
not even here i guess ....
i have root access, I also put TWRP... (Flashify and all the rest family of apps of that style) but still i cannot do nothing ...
And everything starts because on B170, Wifi and Bluetooth are not working at all....
I check also for custom roms, but no chance at all ..... just i need a way to put B132 back to the phone....
you need to extract update.app using huawei update extractor, after you can flash using fastboot command(for example fastboot flash SYSTEM system.img) extract in the folder adb(you need to flash boot.img,recovery.img,system.img and userdata.img)

Oh ! Thank you for your answer! (Y)
I did everything, in the start i tried to put the B132 but no luck because was an error on system.img flash.
In the end i manage to update (downgrade) to ALE-L21C432B052 !!
But still WIFI is not working !! I still getting the access denied msg, and only when i put the phone on top of the router is working...
Anyone has a solution for this issue...??
I was thinking that was the B170 (because i found many complains on the web, but seems something else is the problem)
it might be a problem with your antena built in the phone,in that case I sugest you to take your phone to a service

This is use for B132 :
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
but when i was typing the system flash i had an error, (so i never did the fastboot reboot)
I found B052 that was ready for flash (i mean without the UPDATE.APP, was with the .img files and adb, mfastboot)
and direct from the previous mode of the update i re-type the following commands.
adb.exe reboot-bootloader
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash cust cust.img
mfastboot flash system system.img
fastboot reboot
The phone was working before without any problem with wifi and bluetooth, ( i have it 2 months already)
before i make the first update for the dual sim story, wifi already was acting strange a bit,
and because i am traveling, first time i saw that was on an airport, the wifi couldn't connect on there router.
but i was thinking that is the airport router wifi problem.
But after i realise that was the phone, and after i tried B132, B136a, B170 and now B052,
the only way to get connected is to place the phone on top of the router.
* I was thinking that is the updates because when i search on google for wifi problems,
i saw some other users facing wifi / bluetooth problems after updates,
and i never think of a device problem..
Also i didn't find any of them with a solution about it...
So you think is the device?
You have any suggestion to try before i send it for service ? Just to clarify that is device problem...
This is the method that i try on my phone,i have download firmware ale-l21 c432b132,extracted with huawei extractor in folder adb,i use the command:

I don't know how but this just helped me UNBRICK my P8 Lite ALE-L21. Thank you. After many tries.
How I solved the problem;
Used the huawei update extractor to extract the above files i.e boot, recovery, system, cust from downloaded firmware.
Then booted to fastboot mode and flashed them 1 by 1.
And for the moment of truth - "fastboot reboot" ENTER and I got my P8 Lite back. With all my settings & data.
This guide helped me do most of the commands - http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-how-to-unbrick-huawei-p8-failed-t3260704
Well done
Sent from my ALE-L21 using XDA-Developers mobile app

I got the same problem. Flash firmweare with fastboot, download ota with firmweare finder, copy update.app on your pc, extract with huawei extract tool boot.img, recovery.img and system.img(put the extracted images in the root of fastboot folder on your pc) and flash them with fastboot.
Open comand promt and write:
1.cd /adb (hit enter) between cd and /and hit space
2.fastboot flash boot boot.img
3.fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4.fastboot flash system system.img
5.fastboot reboot
and then wait the phone to reboot.
You have installed android nougat and now you cannot go back to marsmallow cuz partition size is different.

I Think the solution is tu restore a full Backup from another Device , anyone has a full backup or Can do a backup please ?
Hello,
I would want to make a full system reinstall on my Huawei Nova CAN-L11. Full wipe and clear system install. I have one big reason: when I turn on mobile data, I have 50% chance to get internet connection. Otherwise I have to go change from 3G/2G to LTE/3G/2G or vice versa. Also when I haven't got internet, I can't send MMS. I want to try myself with reinstalling against giving Huawei Service because I don't have time to drive to nearest city with Huawei Service.
I wasn't playing with android reinstalling via fastboot and adb for a while, about 3 years so I have questions.
Can I do this on locked bootloader?
What files I have to have? I wasn't installing system on any Huawei. On Sony it was simple - download .tft, get flashtool and begin, but I have no idea what I have to do on Huawei.
I haven't found any guide for Huawei Nova but found guide for Huawei Ascend P7.
Now I will type steps that I think I should to do. Tell me if they are good or no and what to change.
Code:
Download ROM and extract update.app.
Extract boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img, cache.img, userdata.img and system.img from update.app via Huawei Extractor.
Go to download mode
Flash recovery.img
Go to recovery
Wipe all
Go to download mode
Flash in order boot.img, cust.img, cache.img, userdata.img and system.img.
Are these steps good?

Yes these Steps Are good. Just used these for myself to Reinstall system via Fastboot. But my Bootloader was Unlocked, if it doesnt work, unlock bootloader first.
But use the latest Firmware for CAN11.
And if you run accross any cust.img File for your CAN11 please let me know. ^^
I have Oreo 27-12-2017 installed on my mi a1, I downloaded the official update.zip file to be installed via adb sideload
I was having TWRP recovery installed but i changed it to Stock recovery to install oreo via adb sideload, but I an't do it it always give me error and phone keep restarting, anyone have an idea how to install it via adb sideload ?
Sideload din't work for me with any OTA update, but I got also at a ceratin point a bootloop. It was solved by downloading the latest fastboot ROM from the xiaomi site. Download the tgz, extract it and use the flash_all_except_storage.sh (mac/linux) or the .bat for windows.
You will then have nougat but at least it solved the issue without data loss. I think that articles about updating via stock recovery and adb are not working at all. Also a lot of articles found via google are kind of fake. A lot say to flash the boot.img via "fastboot flash boot boot.img" but the official .bat and .sh file say that its done via:
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img and fastboot flash boot_b boot.img

fastboot flash boot boot.img is the same as fastboot flash boot_a boot.img and fastboot flash boot_b boot.img. You would use the two commands to flash different boot images to different partitions because as you know our device is divided into 2 partitions because of the seamless update
Things are changing with the advent of project treble and seamless updates. OnePlus will no longer release ROMs flashable via recovery (either stock) because is no more needed. The updates will be done on the slot not used for example if you are using slot a the update will be installed on slot b and the slot b will be set as default. If you brick and you are in bootloop how you can restore the rom? You can't with Stock ROM you have, because the zip can be only installed via Update Engine, so what can you do? Flash a stock rom via fastboot. I have extracted all images from the stock zip and i have made a new zip with the Fastboot ROM with a flash-all.bat included. This will work only if your bootloader is unlocked. This will erase all your data and will wipe your internal storage.
HOW TO FLASH
This version is only for not branded devices
Download the zip;
Unpack the zip in a folder;
Reboot the OnePlus 8 in fastboot-bootloader mode (Power and volume + and volume-);
Connect the OnePlus 8 to PC;
Run flash-all.bat flasher you need;
Wait until the process end;
The phone will automatically reboot.

Hi guys, i'm here again to ask for your support, actually with android 10 Google introduced a lot of changing, from dynamic partitions to the new keymaster 4 encryption/decryption. Teamwin is working hard to update TWRP but they will still take some time. Currently some things already work but there are difficulties in bringing them to the OnePlus 8/8 Pro, for example decryption already works but creates some problems on the OnePlus devices. That's why I decided to create a Paypal moneybox to be able to bring you the latest updates in the shortest time possible. As I have previously done, I assure you of a support of at least 2 years (within the limits of my possibilities). In addition to the TWRP I will improve the fastboot roms and add OnePlus 8/8 Pro to my TOOL ALL IN ONE (and maybe I will also bring the RevengeOS). By getting hold of a OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro I will also be able to improve the TWRP for OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro.

If you are unable to participate in the PayPal moneybox, you can make a normal donation (perhaps specifying that it is for the moneybox), however all private donations that I will receive for this or other projects will be included in the moneybox.

I think unbranded devices mean the device bought from T-Mobile or Verizon. Nothing to do with chinese versiion flash oxygenOS, if I'm not wrong.
Can't seem to get this to work. I'm trying to flash a stock rom for my OnePlus 8 after bricking it during a rooting process.
The device' bootloader is obviously unlocked and i can get the phone into Fastboot mode and connected to my PC.
The only issue is when i execute the flash-all.bat file, it can't seem to flash any of the files and gives an error consisting of the message "FAILED (remote: 'Flashing is not allowed for Critical Partitions').
What to do guys? Can anyone help me out.
Does anyone know where to find mobile oneplus 8 5g tmobile from mine is bricked I had same error as post above

I have an issue trying to flash on fastboot. It's says I can't flash on critical partitions. Yes I know alot of people are saying that but what I haven't seen is this:
This is my problem:
Fastboot get device-info
(Bootloader) device unlocked:true
(Bootloader) device critical unlock: false
(Bootloader) charger screen enabled: true
I have already tried "fastboot flashing unlock_critical"
It says bootloader already unlocked. I then re lock bootloader which I know is not a good idea( reflash stock with msm tool) and it lock then I try unlock critical command again and it still says device critical unlock: false
i need help please ..

Try again with 10.5.7. When it reboot to recovery, let it continue to run till it reboots on its own.
Unbrick from fastboot method
I hope I can help someone since I spent the whole night trying various methods to unbrick my Oneplus 8 and only this one worked for me JUST FOR INTERNATIONAL VERSION
You must have the drivers installed (Adb & Fastboot)
You must have your phone with the bootloader unlocked
1.- Download the file
2.-Unzip it
inside you will find Flash-all.bat
3.-Enter Fastboot mode
4.-Double click on the Flash-all.bat command
5.-It will direct you to the recovery, select the English language and restart in fastboot mode so that the process continues, wait for it to finish flashing everything and ready, the phone restarts on the latest version
