Hi, i hope someone can help me! i bought a chinese android head unit (swm8802), while i was installing it the screen went black, but the unit still worked. After much mucking about i discovered the screen came on and worked fine if i plug a usb into the front and into the lighter power outlet.. can anyone tell me what is going on, and can i fix it so it doesn't need the usb? thanks in advance for any help.

Hey everyone,
I had an issue with my previous unit where the screen went dark and nothing would work. Joying sent me a new base unit. I got the new unit hooked up (which isn't the same model or something because it is missing 2 video out ports) and upgraded to 6.0.1. Everything worked fine for about a day and a half and now the touch screen doesn't respond. I can use a mouse and keyboard to navigate the unit but the touch screen doesn't register any touches. I have reflashed the 6.0.1 update as well as done a factory reset. Any other ideas? I really hate to have to end up shipping it back to joying as the process takes forever and now I have to pay to ship 2 units back plus possibly the screen. It is really frustrating. Is the quality usually this bad?
If its been in the vehicle the LCD/digitizer connector might have been vibrated loose. Have you tried unhooking both sides of the cable from the board and screen, checked for damage on either of the cable ends and both connectors and reseated everything firmly?
please let us know what you guys end up doing. My digitizer went bad also.
Hello. I'm going to try to keep this short, but some backstory is required.
I purchased the Eonon GA9450B, found here, several months ago. Installed just fine, and worked for the most part. I tried to use Head Unit Reloaded, but I couldn't get it to work properly, so bought the dongle Eonon sells to be able to use Android Auto. It also did not work. Weeks of back and forth with the company lead to them sending me a file to put on a USB drive and update the firmware. It errored at 3%, more talking with them ensued, and long story short, I got a refund as well sent a new board for the radio. It finally showed up, I take the thing apart, put the new board in.
The radio boots up fine. Bluetooth works, the radio gets signal, etc. My problem is now the screen seems to be reversed. I tap on the left, it will show that I'm tapping the right side, and vice versa. It wasn't doing this previously, so I'm at a loss for what the problem could be. Because of the refund, Eonon is obviously no help with this.
Anyone have any ideas? I can attach pictures or video if needed. Googling lead me to search through the settings, but I couldn't find anything that allowed me to reverse the touch screen. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I have this issue as well in my e46. Everything works fine except the screen is inverted. Tried full reset, hard reset, factory data rest and no change. Wondering if this can be fixed with updated firmware maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m having the same issue on my E46. I’ve had it for 3 days Did you manage to solve the issue?
5-fingers-press on the screen at the same time. Keep fingers not moving until you get a red point in the upper left corner.
Press the red points coming up on each corner and safe the setting... done.
Hi all,
my Mercedes V-Klasse got an Android Head Unit update several weeks ago. Everything was working pretty well and I was very happy. But today, the Android Head unit only shows colorful stripes on the display. The system in the background is still working (as I can head Audio and CarPlay works too). (see picture attached)
After several resets, I was able to see some kind of "normal" picture on the screen. Still with stripes, but at least something was visible. (see picture 2). I should have stopped here with hitting the reset button because just after doing it again, everything is as bad as it started.
Do you know how to do a factory reset with this device when you can't read the screen? Any special trick for the reset hole?
Or you you know this behavior and have an idea beside "switching the device".
Thanks
Sven
Hey Sven, Just wondering if you ever found a solution to this problem as I have just had the same thing happen to mine?
I believe that it may be a capacitor open the board, but I though I would ask you before opening up the unit. Look foward to the response if you find the time.

I´ve recently installed a new android head unit in my car and initially everything worked fine and I was really happy with it.
Background Info:
-Atoto S8 Snadard 1DIN S8G1A84SD
-Android 10
Today when the radio started the touch screen was inverted... It is as if the screen was rotated.
It´s just like in this video.
I´ve already tried putting 5 fingers on the touch screen, but unfortunately nothing popped up.
I´ve also tried holding the the RST button, but it doesn´t actually reset the Head unit, it just kinda restarted it.
Later today I´m going to try plugging a mouse into the radio and calibrating the touch screen via. factory settings. Is there a password for the factory settings, if so, what it is? I´ve already disposed of the manual as everything was working fine before.
If anyone knows how I can calibrate the touch screen so it is not inverted anymore I would highly appreciate any help. ♥
Not Android Automotive, requested moderator move to Android Head-Units forums.
First point of support is seller, what do they suggest.
Curious as to how much, if any reading of these forums was put in. Doesn't look like much.
