Unable to setup Amazon Alexa after Oreo update - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello,
I just bought Amazon Echo Plus. Am trying to setup Alexa App on my Galaxr s7 Edge. It wants me to - uncheck smart network switch. With Oreo updates, I do not see any such option in settings. Alexa App dosen't allow to move forward unless it is done.
What do I need to do to install Alexa App on Galaxy s7 Edge, please?

Getting Google Dialer on S7 Edge

I really liked the dialer on my Nexus 6, where when you would touch the phone symbol, my recent contacts would show up in tiles with their photos. It also worked the same way with my Droid Turbo 2. If I use the Google Now launcher on my S7 edge will I have the same result? Thanks.

I was able to install this version of Google Phone (Google Phone 2.05.07_rc4) onto my VZ S7 edge and it works without any issues. you can get it from apkmirror.

i want to use the app in google cardboard ,but i tried the package disable pro and it doesn't work.
whats the problem? or is there other way to do it?

Use an older version or something you not doing right make sure to disable gear vr services

You can use your Virtual Reality headset with Cardboard apps without launching the default Gear VR package by temporary disable "Samsung Gear VR services" and enable it when you want to use Gear VR

Bell Mobile TV App asks to Disable Mock Location on S7/S7 Edge

Couldn't find any information regarding whether or not the Bell Mobile TV App is working with the S7 Edge, or regular S7, so I decided to create a post to see how widespread this issue is, and whether or not there's a fix available. (And to light a fire under Bell's App developers butts.)
The Issue Is As Follows:
When trying to play live video through the Bell Mobile TV App on a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you'll be presented with the following screen asking you to "disable mock locations in your device settings" with an error code of 3710. This seems to have occurred since around September as multiple reviews on the Google play store all claim the same error with people using the S7 or S7 Edge phones.

The Problem:
There is no toggle switch (ON/OFF) for mock locations on the S7 or S7 Edge running Marshmallow, not even in Developer Options. There is an option called Mock Location App, which allows you to select an app to use for mock locations, but nothing that explicitly turns off said option.
To test this problem, I went into Developer Options, and assigned the Mock Location app as the Contacts applications. I then close and Force Stopped the Bell Mobile TV App. Upon re-opening it I received the same "disable mock locations" error - This is good in this instance, since I actually have a Mock Location app assigned in Developer options.
The Bell Mobile TV App appears to not acknowledge the Mock Location App setting being set to "none" and is most likely expecting the "Allow Mock Location" toggle (ON/OFF) switch that the S7 and S7 Edge do not seem to have when running Android Marshmallow.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, have you reported it to Bell yet?
I have emailed the developer email on file in the Google Play Store ([email protected]) and escalated the issue from within the MyBell account page. Currently I am waiting to hear back on the status of the issue.

While trying to pair with wearable app says that "This watch isn't supported on this phone" using on Android Os11 seamlessly... What can i do able to solve this problem has no root on my device...

Is there a reason why you are using ColorOS12 Instead of OxygenOS12?
Didnt hear anything about OxygenOS and Samsung watches but that does not mean it will work.
Same problem is valid for oxygen os 12 also :/

I have a Oneplus 10 Pro running ColorOS 12.1 and was running into this same issue. There isn't much information or tutorials when it comes to using these devices using the ColorOS as it seems as if it was meant for Chinese use only.
I was finally able to get my watch paired with my phone using the steps below.
1. Install the Samsung Health app from the play store
2. Download an old version of Galaxy wearable app and Galaxy watch4 plugin from apkmirror ( I used versions from December 2021)
3. Pair the watch using Samsung Health by opening the app. Click the 3 dot menu and go to settings>Accessories>Scan for accessories. Once paired it will automatically open the galaxy wear app.
4. Close the galaxy wear app and disable wifi and data on the phone.
5. Open the galaxy wear app again and proceed with the setup but decline all options that require you to sign on the watch with Samsung or Google and proceed by allowing the required permissions.
6. That's it, you should now be paired with your watch and you can now sign into your Samsung account through the wearable app and perform a backup/restore if you like,
Hope this helps anyone out there. This was a real pain in the but for me as I find ColorOS to be more reliable than the mess that OxygenOS is since it's now a fork of ColorOS.
My next task is to find out how to get the Google Backup to work. If anyone has any information on this please let me know.
