Mine gets from 0% to 100% in about 6 hrs. Is that normal? Wonder if it seems a bit too long that's somehow contributing to my battery issues.. use original charger plugged into a wall socket.

Yes, I believe that is normal. I just did a charge today, from 0% to 100% in about 4.5 hours. Quite quick I was very surprised.
Six hours seems pretty long. The lowest I've let my battery run down to so far is 55%, and it took two hours to get to 100% on the stock charger.
I get full charges from 10% or so in 2-3 hours.

did you use the original wall charger or you charge it via PC's USB? I guess the wall charger is a bit faster.

The wall charger should be around 4 times faster. You computer outputs around 500mA where as the wall charger is 2A (aka 2000mA).
Don't use third party USB cables with charger it also charge the nexus 7 slowly. This is what I found when I first bought it. Using original cable with original charger seems to charge it very quickly.

I'm using stock cable and charger plugged into the wall socket. Everything else is perfect, and not enough to return but a concern nonetheless. My Toshiba thrive charge blazing fast at 0_100% in 2_1/2 hrs.

When you are charging, is your Nexus 7 powered on, or does it display the battery icon in the middle of the screen?
For reference, mine was powered on when it charged from 0% to 100%.
Have a stock t-mobile nexus 6p and I think it's not charging correctly. As you can see it says 3hrs till fully charged. Any ideas

As far as I can remember it did charge fully in about 1hr 1/2. But now for some reason it's taking sometimes 4hrs. I'm thinking it might be a faulty charger.

Sounds like a faulty charger or cable possibly.
Do you happen to know of a good replacement?
One off of google play store?
yes and no
its all relative... remember that the "handshake" between phone and charger will indicate if its charging rapidly based on the resistance.
thats why using a bad cable on a normal charger will say the same... and cause damage to the crappy charger
now, if this is stock cable and charger, it would tell me that the 6P is drawing less power than the charger has... that doesnt happens just because, to me it sounds like other factors...
for example, a phone that was outside on the sun or its warm, will not draw 3A and potentially get the battery even hotter to the point of damage.. i can see it drawing less power, and controlling the temp... which in turn the current draw will dictate the ETA for full charge...
for the above example... turn phone off... put it over your car's AC unit at full blast and chill it for a few mins.. let it sit another few mins to ensure the temperature of the device is indeed cool..... then turn on, and charge again... should draw more than before in a few minutes
Hi, I bought Z3+ two days ago. Fast Charger is taking around 2 hours 15 mins to full charge the phone in switch on mode. Is it the actual time to charge it with Fast Charger?
If I connected it to PC USB Cable, the charging time is very slow. Is there is any tips improve it?
Thanks in advance
What fast charger are you using? 2:15 sounds reasonable to me though I never really stopped time on a quick charge 2.0. PC usb Ports output 500 mA, which is far less than even the stock sony charger outputs, so no there is no way to speed that up.

I use quick charger to charge my Z3+ almost every day.. The charging rate is around up 1% per minute.. Usually I turn off the phone while doing so because using quick charger makes the phone quiet hot compared to when using normal charger, and that makes the charging rate just a bit more faster..

Thanks for the reply, I am using the Fast Charger bundled with Z3+.
It did not come bundled with a fast charger here. You mean quick charge 2.0?

Sorry, If "Fast Charger" is diff from "Quick Charger". I have received Quick Charger bundled with Z3+ which is taking more than 2 hours for full charge the phone.
Is it saying "quick charge 2.0" somewhere on the charger? It's a brand by Qualcomm and is faster than just a charger with high Ampere.
The point is that the charge which bundled with Z3+ just a normal charger!! ( well if you think it is)
All you need is a charger with qc2.0
Yep, although QC will wear out your battery faster.

Prics of Quick Charge 2 compatible Charger bundled with Z3+
I don't see the QC logo and quick charge 2.0 on your pic. And fast charge is not quick charge. My fast charge completed in about 2.5 hours. My quick charger does it in just over an hour. So I also got a quick charge battery booster as well. Both are by anker and I got on Amazon. Well worth it.

I think the charger is really a quick charger since it have multiple output settings.. But I have read on one of the threads here that QC2.0 does not much boost the charging time of Z3+.. Specially the dual sim variant.. Remember that sony only said that the single variant is the only one that is QC2.0 compatible..
I have encountered a problem with the charging speed of my Xperia Z3+. I have got the single SIM variant and according to the internet it should support QC 2.0. But in reality when I want to charge my device it doesn't feel like QC 2.0. For comparison I have downloaded an app called Ampere on my Z3+ and my Z3 Tablet Compact (its chipset also supports QC2.0 and it seems to work flawlessly) and it displays the current charging flow speed if I'm not wrong. I will attach two screenshots, the higher number of flow is from the tablet and the other of course from my Z3+. Anybody know what might be the problem? I have used the same charger with the same cable.
My device is taking more time to get full charge. Is anyone experiencing the same.is there any way to improve the charging
My device is taking around 3 hrs to charge fully which is quite normal as given it has 5000 mAh battery and no fast charging. Only way to improve could be to switch off and then charge or not use phone while charging. Disabling cellular data and WiFi may also help.

In my first time charge, i leave it charging when i sleep, but when i wake up my phone just have 82% battery, it takes 7 hour charge when i sleep, i realize that my mistake was not plug in perfectly the usb cable to charger adaptor, shame on me LOL
When it plug perfectly the charging time may 2,8 - 3 hours to 100%
*Sorry for my bad English*

Does it show "Charging Rapidly" state on the lock screen?
On my Anker triple ports QC2.0 charger, 2 of the normal ports 5V2.4A are able to "induce" my M2 phone to go into "Charging Rapidly" state. It only happens after plugging in for a few mins; if plug into the QC2.0 5V2A port it doesn't display "Charging Rapidly", just shows the normal "charging". Another of my QC3.0 charger 5V3A is also able to do this while other chargers I tried from 1.8A-2A range can't get this "Charging Rapidly" state. Is it possible that the M2 only support "fast charging" on 2.1A and above chargers?

No... Actually the speed of charging also depends on the current... If you current is 2A, then it automatically shows charging rapidly...
If you use any other charger with a lower ampere rating, then the phone will automatically detect that the current is low and it is charging slower...

Its just a suggestion... Dont use the S5 charger even if it charges faster... It voltage is 5.3v ... Voltage should always be 5v ... It will destroy your battery in the long term...

Yes ... You can... But your phone will probably heat up a lot.... And long exposure to higher temperatures might slowly degrade your battery...
Only use this charger in emergency cases...

Why do you say it will heat up a lot? Phones nowadays should have protection circuit to limit current, right? For my M2 I don't see any difference in using 5V2A or 5V3A adapter.

I might be wrong... Of course they have protection circuits ... I have another phone Galaxy E5. It also should have a protection circuit or whatever...
Its charger is rated 5V 1.55A... But when I use a 5V 2A charger, the phone starts heating up...
Though it happens only while charge is less than 100...
Upon reaching 100% it cools down...
use a custom kernel
Yes XDA I experienced this problem

i think you need to check whether the mobile is getting heated while charging, if yes then change the cahrger
keep in mind that it is good practice to use battery in the range of 15% to 80% to increase its life, i mean dont allow your phone to drain below 15% battery and dont charge it above 80%, if you planning to use the phone for years
