Bluetooth able to play all sound?

Ok, I could have swore I seen a thread on this a while back, but now I can't seem to find it, can someone point me to this info on how to play ringtones and other sound thru my bt? thank you
Maybe you need some sort of software to ensure that the signal is routed properly.
http://www.supware.net/BlueTunes/
This guys shows how to setup to play music through your BT earpiece. Maybe that will open up the channel for you to hear all phone sounds?
These files will do the basic function of routing ALL audio from the device to BT. One starts the audio, one stops.
Hope this helps.

Problem with bluetooth/Music

Hi
First i have to say is SORRY about my english. I'm learning and i don't want to use a translator.
I have a Nexus One connected to my handsfree on my car. I have a Ford Focus. Well when i try to listen some music on it, stock music player star to play and stop, start and stop anbd i don't know why.
I have flashed many times OxygenN1 mod and for all other things the rom is perfect but i don't know why do this.
I have to say to, if i try to play music with another app it starts to play normaly while stock player is playing on the buttom so this is imposible to listen anything.
Thanks for all.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks
All I can contribute is that I am having the same problem.
I am using a Bluetooth headset to listen to podcasts - this is one of those headsets that supports the A2DP profile for playing music etc., as well as the normal headset profile for phone calls. I don't have the problem when taking calls, just when listening to music/podasts so I suspect a problem with the A2DP profile implementation.
You are probably using that same profile in your car.
I wasn't sure if it was the phone or the headset that had the issue - sounds like it is probably the phone if you are having the same issue.
For the record, i have the AT&T/Rogers Canada version of the N1, with 2.3.6.
A couple things to begin troubleshooting:
1. Try using your phone with a different vehicle. It would be helpful to try pairing your phone with a different car's Bluetooth stereo, and see if it works properly (maybe a friend with a recent car?). If that works, then the problem is with the car stereo.
2. If you have a friends with other smartphones, try having them pair with and play music through your car stereo. Hopefully a pattern would emerge: maybe your exact ROM doesn't work, maybe it's a hardware quirk in your phone itself.
3. What media players do you have installed? I occasionally have conflicts between players fighting over the Bluetooth connection; Pandora and the stock player used to fight, but now they play nice. Notably Pandora has a section in its settings that tells it whether or not to take over Bluetooth controls. This sounds like it might be the reason for your second problem (if I understand you correctly).
4. You might also want to try a different firmware, maybe one that's either closer to stock or further. Maybe try the stock firmware first, then maybe MIUI.
5. What year and model is your Focus? Sometimes (rarely) there's a firmware update for the car stereo.
If the stock player is starting and stopping by itself: first try uninstalling all other media players and see if it still happens. If it does, it might be that the car stereo is sending pause keypresses, which it shouldn't. There might be a defective button on the stereo, or maybe a quirk in the stereo firmware.
Hopefully some of this helps narrow down the problem. Let us know if you get any results, hopefully we can help find the problem!

Are you using the headset for both podcasts/music and taking calls? Or using the headset for part of it, and another Bluetooth device for the other?
I just ask because I once tried leaving my voice-only earpiece for handsfree talking while listening to music over the car stereo. I had them "working" configuration-wise (the earpiece took only calls, music went only to the stereo), but after a little bit the phone would sort of melt down and lock up. It was probably running turn-by-turn Nav at the same time that did it, still it was cool while it worked
There are certainly bugs in the A2DP and AVRCP profiles, but I understand the implementation is kind of complex and there's a lot of corner case problems. Personally, our stereo displays the artist & album names, but always says "Paused", and the title and time info and just random numbers.
About the best you can do is try to isolate your specific problem, then try to find where to file a bug report. CM is probably the most responsive but most resource-strapped for fixing corner case problems, Google is at the other extreme and never really replies to bug reports. The stack itself is written by the BlueZ group (which I can't link, you'll have to Google); I've never tried submitting a bug report there, as I suspect they wouldn't be interested in hearing from a 3rd-party Android ROM user.
This might sounds odd, but try turning wifi off and see if that solves the problem.

try downloading ES Explorer (this has a player built in) browse to the audio files and select play in ES media/audio, I could get music to play through this but not the stock player because it would keep stoppping after a second or two.

Which watch?

Hi to all,
I have read a lot in the forums but I cannot find what I am looking for.
I wish to find a smartwatch with the following features:
1) Show notifications from my phone.
2) Media Control. I normally use BT headphones. I wish to be able to control any media player (google music, pandora, spotify, etc) from the watch but listening in the headphones.
3) call control. In the same way I want to be able to see who is calling and reject or accept the call, but the call directed to the headphones and not the watch.
I use to have a Chinese watch and though it was good I cannot pair my bt headphones and the watch at the same time. Is there any kind of watch that provide this?
Thanks a lot,
Ezmendriz

Google Maps navigation Sounds

I'm not sure if this is a G6 problem, and Android 7 problem or a Google Maps problem, but my G6 will only play navigation sounds via my car speakers if it is connected via Bluetooth.
If I'm using my phone to play music in the car, and navigate somewhere, I want the turn notifications to be played out of the phone speakers so the music doesn't pause or dip or get interrupted. This was never an issue on any other Android phone I've owned - I could go into the settings in Google Maps and disable "Play voice over Bluetooth" so that the navigations directions did exactly that.
That option isn't available on my G6 though. I can disable the voice during phone calls, but nothing else.
How can I get this back to how it was on my old phone?
Thanks

Playing music independently on Gear S3 Frontier from Galaxy S8 phone.

I spent a good chunk of time yesterday trying to figure out how to make the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier (LTE verision) watch play I Heart Radio or Spotify independently from my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. Everytime I go to play I Heart Radio on my watch, it opens and plays it on my phone. If I turn my phone off or disable bluetooth, the watch gives and error message and doesn't play on the watch. In other words, if I decide to leave my phone at home and want to play IHeart Radio on my watch streaming to my bluetooth headset, I can't!
Is this possible or will I have to manually transfer music to my watch to play on it independently?
Maybe the app ain't been fully optimized for the watch yet.

Is your bluetooth headset paired with your phone? Normally there is an option under bluetooth setting of a phone and/or your watch. For example in the phone, you will see a setting for your particular bluetooth device when you tap on the gear: call audio, media audio...there should be toggles to turn it on or off. I had Gear S2 and did adjust it that way, but I had an issue with my car system where music/calls were not routed through watch and car.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried Bluetooth to both (phone and watch). Using a streaming app such as Iheart Radio and spotify, I can't seem to get it to play independently from my phone even though the watch is LTE with a SIM. I will check that setting though, but I would like to bluetooth it to my watch, leave my phone at home, and stream IHeart Radio while I jog...etc.

I haven't used an app to play anything, but I did have 5 MP3 songs on my watch(for testing purposes). Is the app that you use, is on your phone or the watch?

App is on both. I believe those two particular apps auto installs on both phone and watch.

As I understand, your phone needs to think or see your watch as a media playback device as well and not only a calling device. After that it will direct sound through your watch's Bluetooth accessory that is connected to it.
Also I think not all bluetooth headsets are able to play music through them, so try another bluetooth headset or bluetooth headset that was designed for music(unless you already using this one)
I would also like to steam music on my gear s3 from i heart, Pandora, or etc. Is there a way to do this without having my s8 phone in range of my watch?
At this time, only Spotify will allow you to direct stream to your S3 without having your phone. Iheart only works as a remote to control the app on your phone, but you can't stream direct to your S3. Pandora is not available for the S3.
