Sorry for the quircky title.
I want to get myself the HD2, since I just love the screen and it's pretty tweakible . However, I can't hold a phone at my ear for a long time, so I want to use a Bluetooth Stereo headset. But, I will not be wearing the plugs in my ear during the entire day, so I need the following feature:
1. When connected to the Bluetooth Stereo Headset, I want the sound of incoming calls, sms, mms, email, whatever... via the speaker on the phone.
2. When I answer a call, I want the audio to go over the Bluetooth Stereo Headset.
3. When I play music, watch video, etc, I want all the audio from 1. and 2. to go over the Bluetooth Stereo Headset.
4. When the Bluetooth Stereo Headset is not connected I want all the audio to go via the speaker on the phone.
Can this be done by a default solution, or do I need to download free / buy commercial software for this or is it just not possible?
I can't find the answer anywhere, so that's why I'm asking.
Thank you for any and all answers.
hi,
you should get a headset that supports both bt audio protocols 1. hands-free for phonecalls and 2. stereo audio for music and systemsounds. i have 2 of these devices, when they connected all music and systemsounds are redirected to the headset, also phonecalls. the only thing that the speaker of the phone plays are the ringtones for incomming calls. the only thing not working of your list is the notification for sms, mms etc. because the hd2 is playing them as normal audio, so you hear them on the headset and not at the speaker. but that may depend on the rom you use.

Thanx madbird. All I needed to know. I can live with this idea. For the other notifications there might be a led feature, so that solves yet another question. Sill doubting between X10 and HD2 though...
I remember I saw a registry modification here on XDA to force the sound of ringing through the main speaker and not through the headset, I just don't remember where.... google it.

I found some posts. However, I can't test anything, since I don't have the HD2. Yet. After watching another gazillion youtubes regarding the HD2 I will get it. I just can't get myself to part from outlook yet and keep all my contacts/calendar/tasks etc in 'the cloud'...
Why part from outlook? No need to, I do everything with outlook like the past 6 years and don't use the myphone thing...

Sorry, I'm mixing posts again . I was in doubt between the X10 and the HD2. After watching and reading quite some (p)reviews and youtube movies, I do see the power of Android, but integration with Outlook is slim to none. Yes, I can use Moxier, but that would give me 2 contact databases (from what I understoord anyways), missing the integration fun. And I don't want to use Google calendar/mail/taks etc, since they lack integration. It will come, but I need that stuff today, not tomorrow.
Short version: I do not want to part from Outlook , it's one of the main reasons for me not switching to Android...
Finally got bluetooth in my car stereo and reviewed some threads prior to posting, but not sure anyone asked / answered the question I have. I'm basically wondering how people are using their bluetooth stereo's. From what I can tell so far I have 2 options.
1. Phone pairs, i listen to my car stereo and if a phone call comes in the stereo picks up the call if i say, and upon completion back to my car stereo
2. Phone pairs, put the car into BT Audio mode and stream audio from my phone including phone calls.
The problem is, i'm looking for a way to combine both. For example I'd like to be able to listen to my car stereo, and if i get a notification i hear it over the radio, not just phone calls. I haven't tried yet, but i'm guessing the nav will be the same way, if i'm listening to the stereo and running nav on my phone i will get no turn by turn like i would if i was listening to music on my phone and running nav.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something? I have the Sony Xplōd™ MEX-BT3900U. Is this a limitation of my stereo, or just not how most people use their bluetooth?
I just ordered a replacement radio as well with BT support. I'd be curious wth what other people have to say with experience as well.
I use this all the time.
Both options will work provided the head unit you bought supports media streaming.
Your phone will connect both phone and media over Bluetooth. You listen to your media and if a call comes in you can take it while the media is paused. Media will resume after call completed.
Notifications and navigation will pause and resume media as needed.

I've found the quality of the audio over bluetooth to be very degraded. Have a rear AUX 1/8th port and run a cable to mount, Then use BT headset for all if need be, but have Pandora playing Excision & Downlink radio the entire time
I just received my gv18 smartwatch and other than struggling with the on screen keyboard I'm liking it so far although the vibrate is very weak. Could someone tell me how I could use this with a bluetooth headset as at the moment when connected to my smartphone all audio comes through the watch. I hope this is possible as being able to use a bluetooth headset is one of the main reasons I got this but if I cant control the phones music to play by bluetooth or connect watch to headset I might have to sell it. EDIT I have worked out how to do this it has to be done in the google music app but question remains how do I connect the watch to bluetooth headset? Lastly I don't need Nfc so is it possible that a 22mm straight end strap will fit?
Watch straps are changeable and I can confirm that there does not seem to be a way of connecting bluetooth headset to the watch
Ive managed to get my watch to find headphones but pairing fails
Hello I'm rather new to the smartwatch game, I just ordered and received a dz09, it's pretty nice but the one feature that is probably most important to me does not work with dz09. Basically I want to be able to listen to music \ phone calls through my BT headphones from my phone, the dz09 will only let me control the music from it if I have the BT settings as media output to the watch which then plays the music from the dz09 speaker, does anyone know of any good smartwatches that will function in the way I've described?
maybe you need a new app and not a new watch . . .

Hi everyone! Could you help me with a little issue I have with this smartwatch? I just want to connect the music from the smartwatch to the smartphone. Is there a way to play the music of the D5+ on the smartphone with earphones? Or a way to listen to the music of the smartphone and handle the tracks from the smartwatch? I tried everything but I can't understand how to do it!
Thank you so much!
Hello Mario,
the best way it worked for me is the app "Phone to Tablet Remote" installed on both devices.
It is able to control nearly all music-apps on my phone from the watch. But even this way the drain of battery-power is very high. So you can also install the music directly on your watch. and use bluetooth earphones.
In the end is is no good solution to use the watch to listen to music. :-/
