Hi! I actually have an OP2 with LOS 15.1 on it! I always try to search a better bugless ROM!
I decides to try LOS because it seems to be the more popular between all, but I have seen some good reviews about Pixel Experience,
so, is anyone around here that have tried both and can tell me goods and cons between them? and which one would prefer
i flashed both of it..and i really think that los is better

Hello, I've been sticking to stock ROM as long as possible but with the recent fall of ZTE, and the fact that stock started to feel sluggish I was looking for some ROMs I can get and I can see two big players LineageOS 15.1 and AospExtended. I like the huge amount of features in AospExtended but there seems to be some battery bug and lack of encryption and also in the changelog is states "Final Nougat release" which is kinda implying that there is not going to be any new version and I don't think that's the desired message. So my question is how much customizable is LineageOS 15.1? Which ROM do you think is better suited for long-term usage?

That changelog is very outdated. We already have oreo AospExtended with no bugs a while ago.
I'm currently running it and I love it, I really recommend you to install if you want a clean, stable and customizable system.
I don't know about LOS though, I never tried it.

I don't know what you mean by "battery bug" but LOS and AEX share the same issues since they use the same base, which is B12 Oreo Beta.
Also AEX is more responsive and has better audio than LOS. Battery life is about the same.

What do you mean "full of serious bugs" what version is stable enough to be considered daily driver?
There are some posts in the AEX thread about the battery dying at 50% or so.
just wanna know what custom rom you guys use as daily driver and i wanna know why, also pros and cons
Try them out. To each their own and some may find this topic rude.
Check this out : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/custom-rom-t3867290/page57
It's OP6 but not much difference as you know.
The spreadsheet on the last page is pretty nice.

CAF PE. There's a lot of great stuff outside of XDA.

CAF PE has fingerprint support for 6T?
For the first time (since OnePlus 5) I've been happy with stock OOS. Even the Oreo base didn't seem as polished but now I can happily say I haven't felt the need to go to a custom ROM.
The only inconvenience is not having full/proper OMS support, so I have to reboot to see built overlays in Substratum. Other than that I have no complaints.
Honestly all these roms, even w/FP support, are not better than stock OOS.
*None are as smooth
*Obviously none are as stable
*Either a rom is jam packed with features you may find useful, but buggy as hell. Or they are stable and powerful, but the only features are to change the time in the status bar.
*No rom has been able to imitate or even out perform OOS gestures, which surprisingly is pretty important for me.
But if I had to pick one it would be Omni Rom. Most balance of all things.
The new official omnirom is great although I couldn't get microg to work. It is the only ROM that screen casting worked for me.
The stock ROM with XXX script is pretty good.
The ROM I used the longest is carbon ROM.
Best is going to be different for each user as not all users require the same options. Right now I am on omni official although microg doesn't work. Using gapps for the first time in three or five years. Kinda odd using Google apps again.
I wanted to toss this out in the Q & A to offer a non distracting discussion. Quite simply what is the major differences between them?
I know (and have flashed) LineageOS ROM's in the past and enjoy the many options but some would argue it is 'heavy' compared to some others.
I see the HavocOS ROM is "inspired by Google Pixel" so does this offer the main difference?
All thoughts and opinions are welcome!

I'm coming from the absolute train wreck that is the Oxygen OS Android 10 update that OnePlus will probably never fix and give any security updates for again. If any of you could recommend a rom to me that provides a good every day phone experience with good camera support I will be infinitely grateful. I used to love to customize and mod my OG Moto G but right now I want a phone that *just works*.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, i gave up waiting too.
I am running about 10 days Resurrection Remix ROM with CPL Launcher and Gcam as my camera app.
So far RR seems to be stable with tons of customization. Payment / banking apps are working without problem.
As camera i chose Gcam port with dotfix module for Magisk.
I am looking forward to Android 11 and cannot wait for any stable ROM for daily usage.
Here are some links if interested

I'm going to be passing my old Mi A1 down to a child, and it's been a while since I looked at custom ROMs. Currently I'm running EvolutionX on it, but it's a bit slow and freezes at times. Works for me, but I don't want to give that to a kid.
Does anyone know of any lightweight (fast, good battery life, etc) ROMs that are kept up to date with security updates? I don't mind what version of Android it is, as long as the security patches are being pushed. I'm looking for security and speed, not customization or gimmicks.
From my experience, ROMs like Pixel Experience, crDroid, EvolutionX, ... tend to be slow after some time.
Of course it has beautiful user interface, but that's at the cost of your phone resources.
The fastest ROM experience I ever had was with LineageOS ROMs, exactly 17.1 Q. I was never disappointed by LOS, but I didn't stick with it. I love appearances.
Get your phone the latest LineageOS build. You can also debloat it if you need more simple device.
