I am rooted using the latest Su and i just installed xposed. Now I get some of the stock apps crashing and i have to reboot the device for them to work. I havent even downloaded or installed any modules. Is anyone else experiencing issues with the latest Xposed? Is it stable for you? Just want to know if its worth having it installed with it causing apps to crash.
have you tried setting selinux to permissive? i couldn't use it with enforcing without issues.
What ROM are you running? Did you do a clean wipe? Which xposed version you install?
I am currently running xTraFactory with xposed and its super smooth. I have some module install and haven't had a problem.
Follow this guide to install it properly
Xposed for Marshmallow
BTW don't install the module call swipeleft. That's particular one didn't work for me. Might be different for you but everything else is working

I am on the stock rom 6.0.1... I unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp and su 2.66....I wiped davlik cache and cache in twrp then rebooted and it fixed it. But I uninstalled it after. I followed the directions in the link you provided. I was on v79
Well I am glad everything is working
Tested on a clean install of CypherOS. It installs and passes SafetyNet without doing anything complicated. Assuming it should work on any rom without root built in like Lineage OS.
Grab it here and thank @topjohnwu. Remember to enable Magisk Hide in settings or it will not pass SafetyNET.

I tried this on an existing install but no luck.
On the new install did you have to flash the remove root zip from Lineage, or just ROM GAPPS and Magisk zips?
Thanks.

On a clean install I just flashed rom, gapps, and magisk in that order.
BTW over night Magisk lost root, a reboot and root was back though. Might be bug, might be a one time thing, I don't know.
After trying everything listed still no luck getting this to work.
Guess no Android Pay for me
I tried to install on stock ROM, it seem it dosn't work, i'll try with a custom ROM
i'm running this just fine with just the core AND the latest version of magisk. safetynet check passes too on cypherOS.
Hi, I've searched, can't find straight answer on this. I am running Silesh's Invicata Rom, works great.
I am interested in running Magisk instead of embedded root, I see where other's say it works, but don't see any specific instructions on getting it up and running.
(Wasn't really interested in this until I found out Netflix soon won't work with root/unlocked bootloader)

Step 1: remove all the root components (sg. Supersu, kingroot whicheveru r using).
Step 2: dwnld latest magisk frm goggle play or from xda forum of magisk.
Step 3: flash magisk from recovery(custom like trwp, cwm, etc)
Step 4 : reboot device

Just flash the Magisk zip in recovery.
Thanks for the answers. Invicta has built in root, so just disable on developer options? Is a data and or system wipe necessary?

No need, just flash Magisk and wipe ART cache in recovery. Ignore the built in root.

Did you try? what is the result?
I am using the same Invicta, with Magisk! Just flash the Magisk zip.. in TWRP clear cache and dalvik and then download Magisk Manager from the official thread, it is not on Play store anymore! Instakk/update the magisk manager. It will work normally...
No need to disable the Built in root, as it does not interfere. If it does, then disable and then try.!
Isit possible toinstall magisk without clearing cache and delvik ? If i do that, i will lose connectivity with my jio sim

If you make a clean installation it's not necessary to wipe the caches.
1. Take a backup of all apps if you want then back
2. Don't try unrooting and all cuz I never got a 100% success rate here
3. Flash Invicta os as a clean flash
4. Flash gapps
5. Flash magisk 14.0
6. Reboot.
7. Your safety net should pass
8. Go to magisk hide and hide play store.
9. Try downloading Netflix, if you can't just download APK
10. Try logging in, if it doesn't work magisk hide it. It's done.
I'm using Netflix

What do you mean by a clean installation, sir?

A clean installation is when you don't upgrade the rom to a new version by just installing it over the old one.
Just flash magisk over the ROM installed, you won't lose anything!
If u are worried, try magisk before restoring any of your stuff!
no need to worry about inbuilt root... It doesn't affect magisk..
I would like to ask if anybody has managed to successfully install and run Xposed for Nougat on our phone.
My phone gets stuck in boot after flashing. Also anything newer than Magisk v12 also gets stuck during boot.
Any thoughts on how to solve this?
I got it working. I installed stock Nougat ftf. 238, then i flashed Genesis Kernel 1.06 and flashed twrp via adb. After that i installed xposed in the usual way - insall App and Flash via twrp. But i only tried xposed without magisk, it is not sytsmeless. Its working perfect.

im new at thisxda stuff but i am 90 percent sure i figured out how to keep magisk from uninstalling after a reboot... YOU MAY NEED TO UNINSTALL MAGISK AND ALL MODULES BEFORE DOING THIS USING MAGISK UNINSTALLER basically you have to also install an older version of supersu and it has to be an aroma installer and install as SYSTEM also make a backup of the boot.img just incase you get bricked if you install the supersu app it will say su binary occupied but install should stay install supersu aroma (2.78v2) from https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3879523&d=1474248173 before and possibly after magisk install...only tested with magisk 16.2 beta channel and regular install not patched boot on Axon 7 with RR 8.1 weekly 6.0.0 20180225 (us variant) but should work on others probably...let me know how this goes for you
TRY AT OWN RISK I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVICE BOOTLOOPS OR BRICKS
If anyone has a better way to get magisk to hold after a few restarts please let me know
sidenote:this supersu does work with magisk not installed and definately keeps root
(stock boot.img is in initial zip for custom rom) select intall imgs in twrp and flash the boot partition as needed)
ALSO YOU CAN ALWAYS DIRTY FLASH CUSTOM ROM same build or higher IF ALL GOES TO **** AND WONT LOOSE APPS OR DATA AT LEAST ON RR
works for me without problems after last 2 years on any Rom.
dont know what you doing wrong?!
I cant get to bypass safetynet V: other than that root works fine

Ever tried magisk v15.3? I never had problems with uninstalling, but everything above 15.3 won't pass safety net,at least for me/on stock nougat b10 rom.
