H870 went to bootloop after flashing stock KDZ - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Just keeps rebooting, I cant even turn it off, no button combination work
can somebody suggest how to turn it off, and how to resurect it?
UPD: Flashing any KDZ via LGUP now results in Bootloop,
I can only select upgrade and not refurbish in LGUP

Have you tried factory resetting, holding these rear button/volume down until you see the 'lg g6 thinq, powered by android screen', releasing the rear button then quickly hold it again, it should open a factory reset menu

I bricked my phone trying to flash Malladus (LG Bootloop) ... the flash tool isn't wo

So I don't know why this happened, I had rooted and installed TWRP and was happy, so I tried to install Malladus (1.2.9) and gapps and the 24a upgrade .zip, and now here I am.
I've tried most methods, and the LG Flash tool just says "failed PreviousLoad()" when I click the yellow arrow.
I f'd this phone up 12 hours after I got it.
If you see the LG boot logo than there is still a chance to fix the phone. Try to manually go back into recovery. Turn off the phone by long pressing power button. As soon as the screen is black, press power and volume down together, you only get a half second to do it. When LG logo appears release and press them together again until the factory reset screen comes up. Then press power 2 or 3 times and you should go back into your recovery. Once there you can try to reinstall rom, backup or side load a new rom. Hope this helps!
What is your phone model? Without that I cannot help you.
Same problem
Hi guys, like an idiot I was successfully able to install the debloat 4.4.2 on my vzw LG G2 but I tried to flash nandroid recovery back to my 4.2 and now I am stuck on boot loop and cannot get back into recovery. I tried to hard button by pressing both the bottom button and power, and press it again when the lg logo comes on and after pressing the power button a few times, it just goes into a black screen, so I cannot get back into recovery in this manner. Anyone know how I can get back into recovery without going through the full wipe back to factory?

bricked, stuck at LG Logo after reverting back to jellybean (D801)

Hi so I have a T-Mobile LG G2 (D801) which has stock KitKat rom and rooted with custom TWRP recovery, I also installed autorec to fix download mode. I was trying to revert back to Jellybean 4.2 and I bricked my device. I followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
and used the kdz method. I held volume up button, plugged in the device, got download mode, tried flashing the file and got some kind of error, it was in korean so I couldn't read it. As it was flashing it went up to 6% on the device but thats when the Flashtool gave me an error. I tried to exit download mode by holding down the power button till the LG logo appeared. I did that and when it appeared I unplugged the device. However now the device won't shut off and is stuck at the LG logo screen. So I dissasembled the phone and unplugged the battery cable from the motherboard and it shut off. I then plugged it back in and tried to enter download mode, but nothing happens, it's stuck at the LG logo. If I hold it for 10 sec the screen turns black and LG logo appears again. I also tried holding it down and when screen turns black I hold down power+vol down (to get into recovery), screen turned on with LG logo and I removed both buttons and then held power button for 2 sec and that worked. And I tried to do a factory reset, but it basically freezes at that screen. It is stuck on “factory reset processing” for 20min now. Also I'd like to clarify that this is the stock recovery not the TWRP that I had installed. I tried double the power buttons 3 times in stock recovery to enter TWRP but nothing happens, it just says "factory reset processing".
I'm not sure what I should do now, is there a way that I can flash something via adb and load a custom recovery or rom? Or go back to stock rom?
Please help.

[Q] LG G2 is stuck on Firmware update screen

Hello,
Yesterday I tried to upgrade my LG G2 from android 4.4.2 to 5 via LG PC suite.
The upgrade was failed at some point around 30%, it let me re-try the upgrade, but it fails over and over.
After deep research, I found that it could fail due to lack of space (Under 1GB), unfortunately I think that's the root cause of the failure. (No alert was given before the upgrade)
Now, it stuck on the Firmware Update screen (even after reboot), attempting to get into download mode direct me to the Firmware update screen.
The only thing I was able to perform is getting into the Hard wipe screen (holding vol down + power button till device is powering off and powering on, when it power on with the LG logo I let go the vol down button and keep holding the power button), I chose to reset factory, but I think it just restart my phone into the Firmware Update screen and perform nothing.
This is un-rooted device, made in Korea. Sorry, but I don't know the current firmware version.
Any help please, if anyone know how can I delete data without the OS it could help.
Koren

Bootloop LG Logo and only downloadmodus

Hi all,
I have a problem and hope you can help me.
I was on Cloudyfa 3.2 and want to go back to stock.
Tried to flash the kdz with the LG tool but it says the phone is rooted and stopped at 2%
I found a tip on XDA to do a reset (advancd wipe, not internal storage) and then turn phone off and boot to downloadmodus.
After that the phone still says rooted with red letter. Flashing kdz still not possible.
Now comes to problem.....i can't enter recovery again.
I tried volume + and power. volume + and power, volume +- and power.
In all those combinations with phone off, push volume buttons, then power. If I see the lg logo, release the buttons and push the volume buttons again.
Tried those combinations several times but unfortunately no recovery.
I can go to downloadmodus but then..........LG flash tool doesn't worok.
Can somebody help me???
Update:
Tried two laptops (windows 7 & 8). Drivers installed correct.
kdz flash stuck at 2%

LG G6 H870DS(LGH870DS) AKA LG G6 DUAL Bootloop

Having a bootloop problem and trying to follow this and other threads
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/help/lg-g6-h870ds-firmware-upgrade-help-t3791271
Reset doesn't work.
I can't get into the download mode.
Code:
"Just hold down button and power button. Just when you see LG logo leave power button for a second. Push power button again and hold with down button. Now press yes twiche for the hard reset prompt. Now IMPORTANT, when screen goes black immediately press and hold up button. While holding up button plug usb cable into the PC. Now use Uppercut 1.0.0.0 and flash your kdz."
Click to collapse
and also https://www.android.gs/how-to-enter-download-mode-on-the-lg-g6/
when screen goes black I press but it's already showing 'erasing'
You basically can't turn it off, it will always go back on
Trying to use LGUP and UPPERCUT_1.0.0.0 on logo screen, but it shows as unknown device.
In any case, trying to DL https://lg-firmwares.com/downloads-file/17799/H870DS20f_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_1214.kdz
It's going at 9kb/s and usually dies around 5hrs later at 300mb of 3gb.
Searched the web and no mirrors for the kdz.
From my reading you can't do custom roms on DS right? So I need the kdz from that site.
If I ever get into the download mode, is there any chance for me?
I'm in Australia, believe g6 is HK model.
Finnally got H870DS20f_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_1214 finished. Got in download mode by running down the battery...
Got LGUP in upgrade mode and went to 100% complete.
Still hanging around seeing if it completes, seems stuck on logo
...
After about 5min, it went to the next bit
"android is starting" or sth. with a prog bar underi it.
That went to 100%, stopped. I looked away for a few min, and the phone's off.
TUrn it on, it's on logo, then 'erasing' again.
Then this loop. So seems same as b4?
------
After a bit found a file LG+G6+H870DSU10s+Mar+2018+Nougat+7+0
Tried the same LGUP in upgrade mode
Got a screen 'encryption failed' some crud, and 'reset phone'
Back to the 'erasing' again.
