Hello to you I would like to know if Google Assistant can be enabled on the S5 mini without root (or with). Thanks for helping me.
Hello,
yes, I find a way, but it is only possible with root. Root your phone and then install the App GetAssistant.

Safety Care. I have not yet found an alternative, but if you know one I would appreciate it if you would share it with me.
Root is not an option on this device.

It's for the HTC One X. I'm not sure how easy it is to root it and if you keep the warranty/don't lose data.
I just took a quick peek and didn't see anything.
Hey Guys,
I bought Samsung Galaxy A8 32GB (SM-A800F) Exynos Variant! Samsung Galaxy Alpha & Samsung Galaxy A7 also using same chipset. Galaxy Alpha has great dev support. So why such awesome sleek and stylish device left? Even there is no root available for now!
I hope in future, devs will consider this device too!!
For rooting try king root latest version. They said that it can root even android 6.0.

Bro, i never use S Voice. So i don't know about it. But you can disable S-Voice in Battery Optimisation Settings, maybe it will solve your problem.

It is not an application that is in the list for optimization. I just don't know what to do about it. Also not having a notification LED is really annoying. Maybe i will try and root and put xposed for the lollipop style ambient notification display, especially since this is an AMOLED display.
But i still do not know what to do about SVoice, if anyone can help, please do.
Does anyone have custom or stock recovery i can flash? i tried to flash one custom recovery and its now stuck on bootloop. Reflashing the recovery wont do any good.....thanks in advanced
Has anyone been able to install Google Assistant on their A7? I have the Axon 7, Nexus 5x and Pixel. I am going to return either the Axon 7 or Pixel. I have Google Assistant on Both of the other phones and am wondering if it's possible on the Axon. I have yet to really use my Pixel because i am trying out this Axon and actually really liking it but......... I like rooting. I don't want to void the 2 year warranty on the Axon but would rooting w/o bootloader unlocking void it? Is it the bootloader unlock that voids?
Thanks for any help received.

They said that they were reworking the bootloader unlock method. I'd wait for that, then install Xposed, then install Android n-ify. They added Google assistant to the module.

Google Assistant? I checked the repository, and the last update they had was back in May, which does not have the Google Assistant.

No. Only the bootloader unlock which they are replacing.
Replacing the bootloader? Or they are changing the policy?

Are you using android N-ify? if so can u tell me which build number you installed? I tried to install build 712 yesterday but it ****ed the UI up, especially the notification toggles. Google Assistant was working though but I had to remove it since the UI was messed up.
Nope just the assistant mod no n-ify mod

Changing the method and policy that hopefully only voids soft and not hardware warranty.

Do you know how to tell if I'm using the new Google Assistant vs the old OK Google/Google Now?
I installed and activated the Google Assistant module from Xposed and rebooted. When I long press the home button or say "OK Google" it seems the same as before, just like using the old Google Now.
A2017U B27 unlocked, rooted
Google App version 6.5.35.21.arm64
Assistant Enabler module 1.0
Xposed 3.0 alpha4

When you long press you should see the Google assistant symbol instead of the Google now one. I'm not connect to data in the pic.

Maybe this will help?
Got it working by installing an apk of beta Google App 6.6.14.21.arm64, rather than the latest stable build available in the Play Store (6.5.something). Uninstalled and reinstalled Xposed Assistant Enabler 1.0 module, rebooted, works. When reading the Xposed description of the Assistant module, it specifically mentions 6.6.14.21.
FYI, saying "OK Google" to start the Google Assistant currently does not work; it continuously opens the configure voice tutorial, even if you've configured it before. The Xposed module developer is aware of the issue. Long pressing the Home button opens the Assistant correctly.
Hey team!
So much like the title says, I bought a Samsung S8+ from t-mobile. I got the device unlocked to use on Rogers, and it is functioning great. save for one thing. Though I can use Bixby home, Rogers is unable to push the firmware for Bixby voice to my device.
-T-Mobile won't help, because I do not use their services anymore, and Rogers says that they can not push to a T-mobile phone.
-When I check for system updates, it tells me that my device cannot be authenticated.
+++++++++EDIT+++++++++
-I have tried manually installing the APK
I have recently called samsung, and they are saying there is no legitimate way to get bixby on international devices that has been unlocked. this seems like shady business. we dont have this kind of issue with siri.
+++++++++++++++++++++
my first question is, if I flash rogers software to a T-mobile phone with Odin, will that cause any unforeseen problems,
and my second question is, will flashing it, fix the issue I have?
thirdly, IF it does not, are there any other actions I can take?
Hmmmm im not sure if bixpy updates come as systems updates man. I think they just come from the galaxy store.

Hello guys, I don't know if the fault is from me or is it that ad blocking doesn't work in android 9 pie (one ui).
I am rooted with magisk, I have tried using dns with dns.adguard.com, it doesn't block ads, I have used blockada, it doesn't work, I have equally used adaway still nothing works.
Is there something I'm missing? I need help please. Thanks.

Addhell 3 works without root.
I disabled all bixby services, some VR shizzle and that's it. I use bxActions to remap the bixby button to all sort of things.
