Hi,
I'm trying to install a custom Rom on my S3 Neo GT-I9300I. I can only install TWRP 2.7.10, the other versions didn't work for me and I always get into stock Odin page. I tried to install some custom Roms but when I install them always I get into Odin boot page with error (Could not do normal boot) and it seems that it cannot boot the device. I tried CM12, CM13, etc. Or maybe my TWRP is an old version.
I can only install Stock Rom with Odin software. Am I missing something?
Thanks.
Hello,
1. Step: Download the latest twrp from official twrp Homepage: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys3neo.html
2. Download the latest Odin
3. Open Odin set your phone in Download Mode (vol -, Power + homebutton). Push AP and search for the twrp.tar
4. Uncheck autoreboot and flash tar.
5. Directly go to recovery mode. Twrp should open now.
Make a backupvia twrp. Choose the custom rom you want and Install via twrp.

So
I have been struggling a couple of hours with this issue: Trying to root my samsung galaxy s4 i 9505, with three different odin versions (now last tried v.1.85) and both CWM and TWRP. I finally managed to get a pass from odin, but whenever I go into recovery mode on my phone, I am at the stock recovery "page", saying Android recovery on the top. Which must mean that I am not rooted.
I have no idea what to do, anyone there with some tricks up their sleeves?

1. Reflash Stock Rom.
2. Root your phone with latest version of ODIN following this GUIDE or you can:
- Download and unzip this FILE in your pc.
- Take your device in DOWNLOAD MODE.
- Flash it via ODIN.
3. Install SUPERSU of Play Store app if you don't see it in desktop of your device.
4. Reboot in DOWNLOAD MODE and flash TWRP via ODIN. Your phone will reboot or reboot manually.
5. Done, your have root and custom recovery installed. Good luck :highfive:

Cheers for your reply, unfortunately I havenĀ“t gotten longer than the first step. I try to flash stock rom, but it seems like i need a pit file and i cannot find a working one anywhere around the internet. Is there some way to find the pit file stored in my phone? Or another place where I can find a working pit file other than the one called CSB_signed_Fusion3_EUR_0325_V2?
Edit: Now I successfully reflashed stock rom and installed CWM recovery. Problem is that whenever I try to flash a rom I get the message "installation aborted".
What to do?
I cant install TWRP with odin.
Odin show me PASS, but when i want to go into recovery i cant (only stock recovery works) ;/
What i must to do? Thanks for help!

Thank you! its not work for me, but i did it!
1. uncheck autoreboot in odin
2. Download CWM (not TWRP or Philz > its not work for me in first time) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697523
3. Set CWM in AP and press start
4. When it PASS, manually power off phone, and start it to Recovery
5. And now you must install TWRP or Philz again. (dont turn on the phone, only download mode)
Same problem / Still not working
Hey guys,
I have the same problem here.
The other thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/custom-recovery-protection-samsung-t3135004 ) suggested going back to an older rom version.
I have tried every other combination of flashing CF / CWM / TWRP but the outcome is the same.
No working recovery.
Is there a possibility without reverting to an older rom, as the BOE5 is not named in the other thread?
Hey guys,
got it working for me.
I flashed G900FXXU1ANG2_G900FDBT1ANG2_DBT via Odin and got a bootloop at first.
Then flashed twrp-2.8.7.0-klte.img in dowload mode
--> boot to recovery, wiped everything, installed custom rom (newest cdroid version) and super su --> phone booted, with root and installed custom rom with 5.1.1
I tried installing android 5 lollipo on my grand 2 device but it shows signature verification failed. please help.
Which recovry are u using stock recovery or custom recovery (twrp, cwm, philz)
You can't install any custom rom i.e cm12 with stock recovery your need to install flash 1st custom recovery
I preferred use twrp recovery flashv ia odin
All step are given below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...recovery-twrp-2-8-6-0-touch-recovery-t3107535

Good day,
The title says it all. As I have come from SIXPERIENCE back to stock ROM, I cannot find CF Auto Root for my phone with its firmware. I am stuck. Please help. Thanks!
CF Auto Root is S5 Model specific, not firmware specific, just use the one listed in the CF Auto Root thread for the G900F
Or flash custom recovery from Odin and super su zip from recovery.
"Or flash custom recovery from Odin and super su zip from recovery. "
Which custom recovery do you recommend?
And, is a special versoin of super su needed?
As an alternative to CF Root, this method seems to work.....
1) deactivate 'Reactivation Lock' (can be found under Security in Settings).
2) copy SuperSU zip to your device.
3) boot into download mode.
4) Odin flash TWRP 2.8.7.0 (specifically this version).
5) DO NOT allow phone to boot, (uncheck auto reboot in odin and if necessary remove the battery as soon as the TWRP flash has completed) then.....
6) boot directly into recovery. (Vol +, Power & Home button combination)
7) flash SuperSU zip.
8) boot device as normal.

i tried your method and decided to see if it was working properly and i followed the instruction for rooted devices in https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-boot-to-recovery/
Not only it did'nt work now my phone is just displaying the samsung galaxy s4 logo with words on the top left corner that says
recovery booting. . . .
recovery is not seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit : recovery
i just also checked the twrp manager app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmz.soft.twrpmanager
it shows "custom recovery not installed or not detected"
How did you flash TWRP? You confirmed that the model # of the phone is sgh-i337m?
I could never get the fastboot instructions in the original post to work since all Samsung phones (non-Google Play versions) I have used did not support fastboot commands.

I downloaded the .tar file from the team win website for the samsung galaxy s4 canada and i opened odin .
switched off my phone , put it in download mode (volume down+power+ home ,pressed volume up again for confirmation)
connected to computer , odin shows added , clicked AP selected the .tar file and clicked start without making any changes in the options tab . Phone restarts
Flashing TWRP with Odin on a phone running a stock ROM will replace the stock recovery; however, if auto reboot is selected in Odin, rebooting the phone after flashing TWRP will cause the stock recovery or overwrite TWRP and this is one reason some people uncheck auto reboot.
I suggest starting over by flashing the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com with Odin 3.07.

I have just flashed my phone with stock rom from sammobile , after that i put into download mode again and did'nt select the autoreboot . when it was completed i tried going into recovery mode without switching on my phone so i removed the battery and placed it again and pressed volume up+power+home and i still got the same things that showed up before .
Did you try flashing different versions of TWRP? I suggest starting with 2.87. You can then use TWRP itself to flash newer zip versions.
