hello ppl .....i no i am sounding a little over the top but is it possible in any way 2 clone ur simcard in order 2 have the same number i.e cellular fone number on another sim card as well. BUT USING THE XDA 2
IS THERE ANY SOFTWARE CREATED THAT JUST COPIES THE SIM THRU USB CRADLE AND WHEN U PLACE A NEW SIM IN IT IT JUST CLONES IT DIRECTLY ..... IF ANY ONE KNOWS OF ANY SUCH SOFTWARE PLZ REPLY TO THIS POST OR PM ME THANX A LOT
To answer your question is it possible, yes, but I wouldn't recommend it. To start I think it's illegal, and certain hardware and software is required. It would be handy though to use a smaller phone during a night on the p*ss without having to remove the battery and thus hard resetting
nice topic raunak ......
i am also searching for the same .
dont know anything about it yet if it is possible.
but as twichibi said its illegal.
i am searching for it ,
will post link if i found something interesting.
Some background:
To make clone you need:
1. Buy some kind of "microcomputer" incorprated into sim-size plastic smart card (a PIC16F877 controller with additional flash memory: "Green card" / "Silver card" or other models)
2. Program this microcontroller with firmware that emulates functionality of GSM SIM card (check http://simemu.cjb.net/ ). To reprogram PIC controller you need specific smart card programmator. And this is impossible with any mobile phone or HTC hardware.
OR 1+2: buy ready-to-use empty multisim card. There are should be a lot of them available via internet.
3. "Hack" original SIM card to extract IMSI and Ki parameters using old SIM security weakness. There are such software (e.g. search for sim_scan2). Note, that this operation is not safe: you may broke your SIM due to limitations by SIM card provider. And NOT ALL of the SIM card may be cracked in such way because some of the operators use newer SIMs. This step requires another kind of SIM card reader (Phoenix) and technically may be done with HTC hardware. BUT there are no sim_scan - like software for WinCE.
4. Enter IMSI and Ki parameters into SIM emulator. This may be done with any phone or HTC hardware via SIM menu.
That's the story. One more note: please do not ask someone (untrusted person or company) to find Ki&IMSI from your SIM. This will give them the possibility to create and use clones of your SIM card And I also saw the modified sim_scan which silently e-mail your Ki&IMSI to someone after hacking

Hi there,
Some time ago I purchased a KING OF DOUBLE CARD for my MDA Compact. It seems however that this card is not functioning in my PPC.
I am using a MDA Compact with the original T-Mobile ROM. I only partly installed the cabs because I wanted to get rid of the ugly T-mobile colours.
Could someone please provide me with some help?:
1st: does anyone make use of the KING OF DOUBLE CARD
2nd: What Rom do you have
3rd: Do I have to install something in addition?
etc etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards
Wilfried
dont know any answers, but I do have a question...how did you make it fit?
I thought it didnt fit in the HTC Magician....so I bought another and carved up my SIMs
works fine though, using Wivit SIm Status Switcher with it to switch SIMs..
you could try it, its a great app
which model did you buy? what do you mean by "carved up my SIMS"?
He probably means a ghost sim, where you cut the chips out of two sim cards and out them into the ghost sim which is normal sim size.
Hi there,
It is a model where you don't have to cut your sims.
Yes you are right: it doesn't fit that easy however with some pressure on the back of the phone it fits.
The problem however is that my phone doesn't recognize the damn card.
I am cosidering to throw it away and take a second phone with me for the other SIM. Again waste of money. hmmmmm
Best regards

Double SIM work fine on my XDA mini
Hello all,
Just want to share some info, I use Almighty Bicard on my XDA mini, and it's working fine on it, just turn on your flight mode, then turn off your flight mode than you will get your second SIM.
Or you can use SIM master or SIM MAX, it can handled 8/12 SIM no. on 1 SIM card, but some time you have problem to scan your original SIM card.
Thanks, Vireman
Can you point me to the specific dual sim you use??
I bought the ghost sim and couldn't get it to work, I tried on 4 old sim cards and decided not to cut up my work sim and personal sim.
I have been looking for the other typoes which take the full sim cards.
On another note it may not work because you will need to get the T-Mobile phone unlocked to work with another companies SIM.
My work sim is o2 and would only work after the MDA was unlocked.
You can phone T-Mobile ans they will send you the code to do this for £15.
Hallo ishgrnod,
I use Almighty Bicard, You need to cut your SIM chip and put it together on Almighty Bicard. It work like a switcher, If you restart your phone it will switch to another SIM.
Mostly in my country there no phone lock from the operator, I think your problem come from this side.
Thx. Vireman
Isn't there a universal phone unlocker already on the forums?
I use this cut up dual sim in the UK:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6415916094&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT&rd=1
from this user:
http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=slam1416&iid=6415916094&frm=284
Works fine. Just have a steady hand when you cut, measure twice, cut once
I use an O2 contract and orange PAYG. Some reports say O2 contract doesn't work. Mine does, no problems.

I bought a King Of Double Card for my MDA Compact. I cannot get it to fit at all.
I don't really want to chop up my SIM cards either :?
OK, UPDATE:
I got it to fit but the phone will not recognize the cards. I'm using WiViT SIM Status Switcher.
Can anyone suggest recommend a different tool ?
I'm on
ROM Version : 1.12.00 WWE
Radio : 1.12.10
ExtROM : 1.12.131 WWE
WiViT isn't likely to be the problem - it just reads the operator from your network, and the sim phone number stored in your Sim; you may not have one stored in there (I bloody didn't and thought my EVC programming was at fault). See WiViT's faq, or basically open up Sim Manager on your phone.
But, ignore wivit, just ensure you can make a telephone call with either sim. Then, switch over with STK or flight mode off/on and see if you can make a call with the other Sim. If that works, then your problem is with WiViT. If it doesn't your problem is with the sims. See my other posts on these cut up sims - basically, i think Magician doesn't put enough pressure on the back of the "mini sims", and you need to stick some paper down the back of the metal sleave.

PS See the thread on Magician today screens to see my Wivit type software...
Hey V, thanks for the advice...
My problem was down to the single SIM end of the Dual SIM not making contact with the connectors in the phone. I have the King Of Double Card Type, as shown in my crude mockup below. ( I dont dare take mine out to take a picture since it took me all evening to get it in right. So please excuse the picture.)
WiViT is working perfectly now, i made sure my own numbers were stored correctly as you suggested, and all is well.
The only problem is, the back of my MDAc is slightly out...but i can live with that i guess (until the MDA Pro (HTC Universal) is released)

Hi All,.. (excuse me for my bad english)
Recently I've got a new GSM phone from work, and would like to use the SIM card from this phone in my Private MDA-Pro phone, together with my private SIM card. On this website I can find several posts explaining several Dual Sim holders, but non of these posts are clear about using it in a MDA-Pro (Universal).
Can some one tell me if it's possible to use a dual sim holder on the Universal? There are several dual sim holders available, which one is the best to use?
Can one switch between the Sim cards? Or use it at the same time?
Is there software needed to switch between the sim cards?
Hope someone can help me out?
Best regards,...
Arjan
I use the lower one in the following link

The problem is the you have to cut down the sims to fit the adaptor, the other type of dual sim can cause problems fitting the battery back in to the device
is there a possibility to use two Sim cards simultaniously - i.e. to send and receive calls from two numbres without needing to switch sim cards?
yup, it should be possible.
there are adapters on the market, check ebay..
http://cgi.ebay.com/GHOST-DUAL-SIM-...ries?hash=item22feb30125&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
but you need to cut youre original sim and the extra one..
thewn you stick the (still functional)remains in a the adapter wich goes in the original place where the single sim used to be...
i had one, but didnt wanted to cut up to test it out...
but a college, from wich i got it, said it worked on his touch...
do some research, or mail a manufacturer and find out additional information
they also sell touch pro's and touch diamond's with dual sim already built in.

my question: is it possible to recieve calls simultanioulsy - or must i choose each time a different sim card which is "on" and the other one is "off"?
Hello, when i have phone in bag or when i shake with it, turn off. I gave it to servis, but service said all test was ok. I tryied to flash FW to 2.3.4, but sometimes do it again.
Can this problem make any aplication or for example OLD sim card (i had 10 years old sim card)
Any ideas ?
Thank you
It could be the SIM. More if is damaged.
Sim ist so damaged it is only old and scuffed
I had a similar problem with my old nokia phone, and it was the sim, a 10 year old sim is not compatible with the newer phones. Call your provider and ask for a replacement, they should just send you one.
Of course, an easier test would be to insert someone else's sim for a while and check.
