IMEI not the same as on the sticker behind battery, why? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, I just bought a used I9505 with stock ROM Version 5.0.1
I wondering why IMEI displayed at "about phone" is not the same as one the sticker behind der battery. What could be the reasons, is it stolen? Sticker looks like not normal but putted there later.

The phone could be a fake or it has been put together using different parts.
Dial *#06# to confirm the imei. Boot into download mode to confirm model #.
You can check to see if the imei has been blacklisted here: https://swappa.com/esn

Phone System Info

Hello XDA-Developers,
How can I check the exact model of "Samsung Galaxy Note II". The IMEI sticker doesn't match with the phone (*#06#). I don't think it is the original model/software loaded, please help.
Label at the back of the phone is attached for reference.
regards,
kay8
Try to contact Samsung.
Settings --> About phone
There you'll find the model, SW version and so on so forth. IMEI, MAC and serial no can be checked under Status.

unfortunately, this feature is not in the settings menu, I also tried to set the unit to factory default as mentioned in this forum (volume up + home + power) but didn't work.
Is there any other way to find this units system info?
One more thing, Samsung logo is not shown during system restart.

Lenovo k5 note lost IMEI and Serial Number

i used the SP_FlashTool_v5.1616.00 to download and update the firmware to marshmallow version 6.0.
i have used the "Format all + Download" option.
And it seems i have not saved the nvram and nvdata files.
now my phone boots and wifi and bluetooth works, but i have lost the IMEI and the Serial number and i can't use the SIM card.
it says No Sim inserted.
the help of your experts is highly appreciated, to allow me to recover the imei and the serial number.
(i have a snapshot of the previous original IMEI and Serial number)
thanks in advance.

Sim 1 shows imei no. But sim 2 shows meid number.

WHEN I REBOOT MY PHONE AFTER PUTTING PHONE ON AIRPLANE MODE. AFTER RESTARTS PHONE SHOWS BOT IMEI CORRECT. BUT WHEN THE AIRPLANE MODE IS OFF. IT AGAIN SHOWS 14 DIGIT NUMBER.
EVEN AFTER INSTALLING BACKUP OF STOCK ROM. STILL THE SAME PROBLEM EXISTS

Samsung S8 - No Baseband or IMEI

Hi All,
So I purchased a broken S8 to repair to give to my Mum as she doesn't need a fancy phone but wanted something she could take good pictures on.
I have repaired several phones in the past with software / hardware issues so thought this would be no problem.
So I have installed the motherboard into the frame / LCD assembly and connected everything up, reset it and removed the FRP so it now boots into the OS.
Noticed it wasn't getting any signal and wouldn't detect the sim card, so I thought it was most likely bent pins on the reader, so swapped it out for a new one but when I looked at the old one there where no issues with any of the pins and the new one acts the same, reads the SD card but not the sim.
Thought is it a demo model so I went to look at the IMEI using *#06# and it just hangs and shows a black screen, not even 000000000 etc, so I then check the Baseband and it is just blank too no text underneath it.
I have followed a few steps posted on the forum and online;
Reflashed with latest BTU UK FW from Sammobile
Installed a PIT file
Reset the phone from the recovery menu along with cache partitions
What should my next steps be or am I just wasting my time and should just write it off ?
Thanks in advance.
