Hi guys, need some insight here.
Did update for my 2017 shield tv today
and it got stuck at Android booting splash screen.
am not able to access fastboot with the controller connected to port next to the HDMI
and pressing A + B while connecting power.
while stuck at the splash screen, my laptop can see the device with "adb devices" but it is in unauthorized state.
how can I access fastboot?

Download Android sdk and install it. Power on tablet while holding volume up. connect tablet to computer and type fastboot devices into terminal. If you get a number or ??????? it works.
Need to re-root 500gb shield tv after marshmallow update,
Says bootloader unlocked, shield is seen on laptop and adb devices but after reboot into bootloader the device isn't showing list of devices is blank, so I cannot install new image.? No yellow exclamation on drivers?
had the same problem in adb type fastboot devices and continue from there

Since the upgrade to Nougat 7.1.1, my Yoga Tab 3 plus (YT-X703F) is showing the following error "unfortunately system ui has stopped" each time I plugged the usb charger. The screen stay black until I disconnect the usb cable. So far, I tried without success
1) Factory reset via the reinitiation menu - Error still present after reinitiation
2) Boot into the recovery console - Not working. The bootloader hang and does not initiate the recovery console. I can restart the tablet into the normal mode after the battery pull method or via fastboot reboot command. The recovery console has been either erased or corrupted in the upgrade process.
3) ADB and Fastboot - not working. I cannot authorise the device since the screen is lock into black as above and both tools return the tablet status as unauthorized (adb devices or fastboot devices).
4) Boot in safe mode. Error is still present. I cannot access the tablet when charging and/or plug to a computer via USB.
Any help would be appreciated...
I try update my nvidia shield tv 2017 but now the System bootloop on Android circles animation (dont start box).
- I try fastboot with Controller but dont work (many, many times)
- I try conect to pc but dont connect device with fastboot
bricked bootloader??

Try un plugging the power then plug a USB keyboard in and hold the A and B key and then plug the power back in.
same problem for 3 days, can not enter fastboot mode. my shield is in bootloop
Shot in the dark, but have you tried different USB ports on the computer? I know in my case, some otherwise working ports will not work with the shield. Seems to be very fussy when it comes to which ports I choose. None of my front ports work on this desktop, I have to plug into rear ports in order for my computer and shield to see each other.
Also be sure to use the original cable that came with the shield.
Also make sure USB debugging is on.

Have you tried "adb reboot bootloader" in command prompt when the android logo is looping?
I have no Android logo i have no os just twrp and twrp with no access adb and fastboot command dont work on NVIDIA logo
If you put lineage os on a usb stick can twrp read the usb stick? If so, you can install the zip file of lineage with gapps...once that's installed and booted up, you can enable usb debugging in the developers options and fastboot and adb should work again.

My Nvidia shield 2015 (16GB) (not Pro) stopped working suddenly. GOT POWER but BLACK SCREEN.
Yesterday night, I turned off normally like everyday. This morning when I tried to turn ON using the remote, but no power. Unplugged the power cable and plugged back in. I see the power green light but black screen on TV. My shield 2015 is updated to the latest firmware v8.2.0 few months a go.
I want to boot the shield in Fastboot but the command ----> adb devices ---> cannot find my device, I installed the fastboot drivers and minimal fastboot & adb from here (also when I plug the shield to my PC Windows 10 - I see "APX" unknow devices (see attachment APX driver.PNG). I'm using the original nvidia micro usb cable.

I followed the proper instruction to put the nvidia in hardware fastboot, as follow: See attached "NVIDIA HowTo-Flash-Recovery-Image.pdf"

Absolutely the same problem here! nVidia SHIELD TV Pro (2015) worked fine about a month ago was turned off normally and wasn't used after that. Several days ago turned it on and nothing except green power light. Stuck in APX too.

2020 edition and in the last month or so my 2020 Shield TV 4K HDR is also having issues with the screen blacking out at random times. Tried multiple refresh rates. Plenty of remote actions can restore it until the next random time it blacks out again, sometimes the next minute, sometimes hours later. Happened 6 times in one Youtube video and seemed to correspond with scene changes.
