List of things possible with King Root

King Root On KitKat , I had to reboot with Simple Reboot to make the setting adjustment but after that they stuck after a hard reboot.
(1) I was able to make the Desktop mode the default in Chrome
(2) I was able to use MultiWindow Plus to enable 4 windows and it would stick.
(3) I was able to enable AdAway with Simple Reboot however I stop using it because it disables some content that I wanted.

v20 Permissions (Access Lock)?

The LG v20 doesn't seem to have an easy way to edit app permissions. I haven't been able to ifnd any way of getting to the hidden access lock permissions menu. It appears they have completely removed the Access Lock menu altogether.
Anyone else having any luck?

Are you referring to the App permissions located here:
Settings -> Apps -> Select App -> Permissions ?

Looks like they finally took it out. It was a nice multi year run. It was very handy but not sure it's really needed in Nougat.

[Q] Need Help With Opening Intents and Checking System Settings

Hey, I have a few questions relating with opening intents and checking certain system settings.
1. I'm trying to have my app open to directly to the system unlock styles, so far I can only open to the system security settings, not to the unlock styles
2. I'm trying to have my app open to the notification access settings and close automatically after the user has enabled access. So far I can get the notification access settings to open but I can't check if its enabled (I need to check this as I will use it to prevent the user from skipping the step of the app's setup process)
3. I'm trying to make preferences that have a checkbox/toggle setting and an intent that the user can open

Any way to launch show mode besides the dropdown? App intent maybe?

I know just enough to be dangerous, here, but I've had no luck. I would like to start show mode automatically via tasker.
I'm not currently rooted, and ideally would like to avoid it but I'll do so if necessary. All I want to do is find out how to start show mode programmatically, and I can't figure it out.
There seems to be a package called com.amazon.paladin that's responsible for show mode. I'd like to figure out how I can trigger it, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I did find a task/activity that appears to be the right one (I'm going from memory now but it was something starting with an L and with Window in the name?), but when I try launching it via adb, it says no such class.
Has anyone figured out any way to trigger show mode besides the dropdown / toggle?

Haven’t had any luck either - trying some magnets on the back side of the tablet hasn’t worked so far

Can you make a Show Mode launcher app using Android Studio.

I am also looking for a way to use Show Mode on LineageOS, it is the only thing I like about FireOS. I found a version of Alexa Show Mode for Lenovo tablets, but I could not download the actual APK to test (probably it is device or region locked, or both). Any way to install some APKs from FireOS to get Show Mode working?

searching on the web for hours and I've found a compressed archive called "amazon.speech.sim.zip".
I can't remember where I got it but here you are, just in the case someone manages to install the actual app and make it work.
I tried in many ways including flashing via recovery, installing it as a system app and even as a normal apk but I wasn't able to do it.

How To Use Universal Gms Doze In Pie Roms

This is a guide to implement universal Gms Doze in pie Roms
Note - this is a temperory fix
Process
- Install universal Gms doze module From Magisk manager
- reboot
- go to device admin tab under security in Settings and just disable find my device
- then go to apps and Notification > Advanced > special App access > battery optimisation > all apps
If google play services showing under apps then it is good to go
Note - as this is a temporary fix you have to disable find my device after every reboot.

Why need gms doze module? Pie is already optimize.
People experience crashes after enabling doze in magisk.
If u want fix for google service drain then use agni kernel. There is option to enable.

I am just using it from many days - didn't experience any crash

cant enable the optimising option in the menu. it enters but it doesnt select, a fix for that ?
