Hello, was hoping to get some help on a problem with Google Pay on my Samsung S8+.
I have set everything up inside the Google Pay app but when I venture into the Samsung settings to make it the default payment app it says no payment apps are installed (I uninstalled Samsung Pay just in case). But there are two instances of Google Pay in the Others sections. I think one of these instances might be the Google Pay Send app I have installed along with Google Pay. I attempted to make a purchase with this setup and it failed.
I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled Google Pay but that didn't fix the problem. Is there any way I can get my phone to recognize Google Pay?
Thanks in advance.

I've searched a few times and can't really find much on this, but I'm about to root my G1 (the T-Mobile version) and that means fully wiping it. I've got a few apps including open home and SNesoid on there that are paid for and linked to a gmail account I'm wanting to get rid of. When I reinstall everything on the phone I want to use a fresh gmail account with a new user name but I'm not sure how I would get those paid apps transferred to that account. Anyone know of a way to do this?

Well there is no way you can get them from the market back because thats all linked to your account and with a new account you would have to buy them again. Make backups of all your apk's and for the protected ones pull them using adb.
If I am correct, all you have to do is "relink your market account to your "credit card" info and it should be there. :]
OK perfect. I will probably do both just to be safe. Thanks a lot.
There seems to be a method detailed in the thread here:

Technically the credit card is on your google checkout account, not your gmail account. And as long as you've paid for an app (and not refunded it) you should be able to get updates for it on that google account as long as the developer provides them.
ok thanks for that but would i still get the app updates if i cancel my google checkout account?

It's likely that when you attempt to redownload an app you had previously purchased but uninstalled that the market backend parses your google checkout account for a record of having purchased an app. Since there's no way currently to remove checkout from a Google account, there's probably no way you could get into a situation where your checkout history became unaccessible for the market backend.
Of course until someone has any actual experience in this matter, all I wrote above is just an educated guess.
I just flashed a new ROM and configurated it with my Google Apps Account.
Then I went to Market and searched for a app I had bought with my normal Google Account which is connected to Checkout.
Market asked me for a gmail Account because the Apps account does not work for buying at the Market and I entered the GMail account informations and still had to buy the app I still have bought before?!
How can I tell Market to show me the apps I still have bought? And yes, I bought it with the same credit card, I did not make any change at checkout
I would contact the developer of said app and explain the situation and provide your info and see if he will honor it. I don't see where a dev would have a problem sending you an apk providing you proved that you purchased it.
got it with with Tutorial:

Thanx @all
Hi, I just changed my google email address on my phone, but when I goto update a product like Advanced Task manager, it asks me to purchase the program. I bought it along with the other apps. I can't update unless I pay again, and since its on the same phone I don't wwana have to pay again. Need help please!? Thank you much! Kev
apart from e-mailing the developer, explaining your situation, and then getting them to e-mail you the .apk, there's not a lot you can do.
I had the same thing happen to me just after I bought the G1, basically your purchase is tied to the gmail account you used, I ended up clearing my cache and going back to my main gmail address and it auto recognises you have paid for it.
Good luck, TrOjAn
Hi,
If I have downloaded some paid apps for the app store. Can I redownload them as many times i want or do I have to pay every single time?
Google keeps track of your purchased apps.so yes as long as they are current and supported by your os. Also a purchase number is in your Google checkout linked to market
so i will not be charged twice? can anyone else confirm that plz.
Only pay once...Never again.
you shouldn't have to pay as long as you are logging in to the same account they were purchased to or for. That is the way I understood from data viz.
If you setup your device with the same Google account you can download your purchased apps.
it is true. If you log in with the same google account they will show in the market under my apps where you can just install them again for free. Even on different devices, i can install apps on my phone i purchased for my tablet.
Is there a way to get an apk from thr market that supposedly doesn't work for your device? Market will not let me download the onstar app, but downloaded it on my phone, then tried to backup app & transfer to tab, but it wouldn't back up. Did the same thing with MyGMC app & that worked fine (Also runs with no issues on my tab)
I signed out of a Google Account after adding another one, and it kept all my paid apps etc. Is there some downfall to this, or is this an easy way to share my apps with my family? Thanks!

I have 4 Google accounts on mine I generally only use 1 for purchasing apps but occasionally accidentally use a different one. You don't 'lose' apps by changing account.
Once you've downloaded an app, it is possible to take the APK and install it on another device. Some apps phone home though and may call you out on this approach!
All apps you get from the play store are linked to the account and devices you were signed into when you got them. Many paid apps check for the linked account when they run out update to prevent you sharing them.
If you have the same account on multiple devices you can share, I do between my phone and my tablet, but my wife for example has her own accounts and own paid apps.
I don't want someone else with my Gmail account on their device. Mine is setup with 2 factor authentication anyway which requires a code which is sent via SMS to me to compete for extra security.
If you use your pc and log into the play store on the web you can see what apps are associated with that account and which devices they were loaded on.

So this has been happening for some time now and I thought I should just leave it...it might resolve itself but that isn't the case. I have 2 google accounts hooked up, my main account that I use for everything and a second account, which I had before that has my purchasing funds from gift cards last year (this is before I got my main account now). The apps bought under the secondary account won't update when I'm updating my apps and gives me 403 error. Sometimes my only solution is to uninstall the app and install it again but that in itself gives me the same error a few times until it works. I make sure to switch accounts in the play store before updating to make sure the store recognizes I'm on the account I made the purchases with but still throws me the error. Could someone please help me understand what's going on with this problem? Thank you!

I have the same issues, with my 2 accounts. I had a google apps name for the longest, but have since changed to a gmail account.
I just have to go back and forth.
Would LOVE for google to let me transfer those purchases.
