So this has been happening for some time now and I thought I should just leave it...it might resolve itself but that isn't the case. I have 2 google accounts hooked up, my main account that I use for everything and a second account, which I had before that has my purchasing funds from gift cards last year (this is before I got my main account now). The apps bought under the secondary account won't update when I'm updating my apps and gives me 403 error. Sometimes my only solution is to uninstall the app and install it again but that in itself gives me the same error a few times until it works. I make sure to switch accounts in the play store before updating to make sure the store recognizes I'm on the account I made the purchases with but still throws me the error. Could someone please help me understand what's going on with this problem? Thank you!

I have the same issues, with my 2 accounts. I had a google apps name for the longest, but have since changed to a gmail account.
I just have to go back and forth.
Would LOVE for google to let me transfer those purchases.

So about a month ago some d-bag got into my gmail and tried charging $500 to it. Goog caught on, stopped the transaction (yay!) , and froze my account (yay!... at first).
Now they won't unlock (boo!) it so I am stuck not being able to dload paid apps. Is it possible to set the market app so I can use a separate Google checkout account?
The idea of having to create a whole new Google login, moving all my contact, calendar, and mail over makes me think I'll prob just be visiting warez sites and sending donations to devs instead.
Any ideas?
(As a side note, does anyone know of a way to make phone contact with Google checkout?)
I've searched a few times and can't really find much on this, but I'm about to root my G1 (the T-Mobile version) and that means fully wiping it. I've got a few apps including open home and SNesoid on there that are paid for and linked to a gmail account I'm wanting to get rid of. When I reinstall everything on the phone I want to use a fresh gmail account with a new user name but I'm not sure how I would get those paid apps transferred to that account. Anyone know of a way to do this?

Well there is no way you can get them from the market back because thats all linked to your account and with a new account you would have to buy them again. Make backups of all your apk's and for the protected ones pull them using adb.
If I am correct, all you have to do is "relink your market account to your "credit card" info and it should be there. :]
OK perfect. I will probably do both just to be safe. Thanks a lot.
There seems to be a method detailed in the thread here:

Technically the credit card is on your google checkout account, not your gmail account. And as long as you've paid for an app (and not refunded it) you should be able to get updates for it on that google account as long as the developer provides them.
ok thanks for that but would i still get the app updates if i cancel my google checkout account?

It's likely that when you attempt to redownload an app you had previously purchased but uninstalled that the market backend parses your google checkout account for a record of having purchased an app. Since there's no way currently to remove checkout from a Google account, there's probably no way you could get into a situation where your checkout history became unaccessible for the market backend.
Of course until someone has any actual experience in this matter, all I wrote above is just an educated guess.
I just flashed a new ROM and configurated it with my Google Apps Account.
Then I went to Market and searched for a app I had bought with my normal Google Account which is connected to Checkout.
Market asked me for a gmail Account because the Apps account does not work for buying at the Market and I entered the GMail account informations and still had to buy the app I still have bought before?!
How can I tell Market to show me the apps I still have bought? And yes, I bought it with the same credit card, I did not make any change at checkout
I would contact the developer of said app and explain the situation and provide your info and see if he will honor it. I don't see where a dev would have a problem sending you an apk providing you proved that you purchased it.

Thanx @all
for some reason since yesterday i cannot add more google accounts to my epic4g?? i stalls for a few minutes then i get "cant establish a reliable data connection to the server. i tried using wifi instead of the internet on my phone, i get the same issue..then i restarted my phone a few times...still the same problems even until today. i had already 4 gmail accounts synced, so i thought i had maxed out...i deleted 1 and tried to readd a new one, same issue...whats worst was i couldnt even get my old one back in there now! anyone having the same issues lately? thanks
I had same issue. Only I had one google and one google account synced through exchange. When I swapped it to a google. Yes first deleting it then re-adding. I got this issue. To make things worse I lost the ability to install apps from market. It took 3 hard resets to then allow me to add 1 google account. After installing all apps I wanted I went ahead and added the other account but not as a google instead as exchange again. Wasn't worth the headache again. No idea why something so simple has become so complex.

What adding new Google Apps account, I getting the message that this account require Google Apps Device Policy to be installed.
I have installed the Google Apps Device Policy. But when I getting to Account selection screen, pressing OK do nothing. It’s not go to next step of setting up the policy and cannot log in.
Anyone solved this issue?
Shay
I got google apps account (not premium, standard only) and it works flawlessly. Could you make second check to make sure that you have mobile access enabled?
I thought I would be the only professional user
I'm searching the hole internet for 3 days now to find people with this problem.
I experience exactly the same issue.
It took me about 10 factory resets to find out that it is an sgs2 issue.
Shame on Samsung.
This Phone is useless for professional users with Google Apps account.
To all who need the Google Apps Device Policy-App:
Please contact the Samsung support at least 10 times a day.
Until they understand that this is a killer-bug
@jsomby
This issue affects only business accounts.
I signed out of a Google Account after adding another one, and it kept all my paid apps etc. Is there some downfall to this, or is this an easy way to share my apps with my family? Thanks!

I have 4 Google accounts on mine I generally only use 1 for purchasing apps but occasionally accidentally use a different one. You don't 'lose' apps by changing account.
Once you've downloaded an app, it is possible to take the APK and install it on another device. Some apps phone home though and may call you out on this approach!
All apps you get from the play store are linked to the account and devices you were signed into when you got them. Many paid apps check for the linked account when they run out update to prevent you sharing them.
If you have the same account on multiple devices you can share, I do between my phone and my tablet, but my wife for example has her own accounts and own paid apps.
I don't want someone else with my Gmail account on their device. Mine is setup with 2 factor authentication anyway which requires a code which is sent via SMS to me to compete for extra security.
If you use your pc and log into the play store on the web you can see what apps are associated with that account and which devices they were loaded on.
