APP Not Installed message after trying to update app - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I'm now on Andriod 8.0 on my Sprint SM-G935P. Before on Android 7.0, whenever I wanted to update a software [Samsung Contacts, Samsung Gallery] from APKmirror.com, I would get a message: Existing package with same name exists. I would then reboot to Secure startup mode and was able after to update the app. Now on Andriod 8.0 I get a massage: APP not Installed, even after rebooting into secure startup mode. Anyone know a way around this?

Samsung Galaxy S7 Sprint unlocked - Need to disable "Checking Device Status ..." msg
Hi guys, i've just got today a S7 SM-G930P with firmware G930PVPS4APJ2, managed to disable most of the crapware with Package Disabler Pro but i am unable to get rid of a notification that says "Checking Device Status". I click on it and nothing nor i can find a related package to uninstall or stop.
The phone is unlocked and i am using it outside the USA in a non-Sprint environment
Any ideas? it seems to be eating a lot of my batt.

Stock nougat phone app unable to install

I had the stock Android phone dialer running under marshmallow with my Verizon S7 edge. After the nougat update, I started getting degradation in the contact pictures Everytime I used a contact. I tried to sideload the Google phone apk 9.0 update but had to uninstall the app first. Now I'm unable to install the APK with a message "this app is not compatible with your phone". Has anyone been able to get the stock Android phone app running on Verizon S7 edge?

New Galaxy S7 and Nougat Update

I'm looking to get a new Galaxy S7 and I'm wondering if the Nougat update will automatically run when I go through the phone set up. Can anyone tell me if it will automatically download and install or if I will be prompted later after setup is complete? Thanks!
You will be prompted later or you can force the update by going to system update.

S7 Edge is messed up

Hi!
I'm posting here because I did not have a high post count.
Yesterday I rooted my SM-G350F with Magisk. Because I'm new to rooting, all I did was follow a video. (Samsung Galaxy S7 /S7 Edge Root Android 8.0 100% Working by Android Doctor published on May 8, 2018).
Everything worked as shown in the video.
After I rooted my phone, I wanted to test out this PoGo spoofing thing. It said something about google play services and some other stuff. I thought I had to download the google play services apk and replace it with the built-in one. I attempted to remove the app with Lucky Patcher which ended up with the phone spamming me with the common app stopped working pop-up (which I assume was the google play services). I kind of got the pop-up spam to stop but I couldn't download anything from any browser at that point. I thought I really messed up with my phone so I booted it into TWRP. I went to wipe EVERYTHING with the TWRP app which got me boot the phone normally with the welcome startup. I could see the WiFi's and connect to them. When I got to the "Checking for Updates" part, it got stuck there. I thought I should just try to flash stock firmware on my Samsung S7 Edge. I proceeded to attempt a flash with Odin but kept getting boot.img fail. Now when I start my phone I get the "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.". When I try to do that, it says that it's an "Unsupported device". Now the phone is still recognized in the Odin software and that's all I can pretty much boot up with. I can't even boot to TWRP anymore. I read that as long Odin still recognizes it, I still have hope.
I am using the latest Odin.
I got my stock from the sam mobile site /samsung/galaxy-s7-edge/firmware/SM-G935F/PRO/download/G935FXXS3ERI1/236182/
The chipset is Exynos 8890.
I hope someone out there can help!
Thanks in advance!
Boot into download mode. Connect to your PC and fire odin. Use latest firmware from sammobile. Tick Nand erase and flash. Hope this helps
Same issue for me, i hope you find something, and if you do, please let me know!
