Hello guys. I have problem with fast charging. My brother used my "head" of my P10+ supercharger with his lighting usb to charge his iPhone, after that supercharger stopped to work with my phone. It charge it like normal slow charger, and dont have a clue what to do to restore it. Theres no fastcharge option in settings or anything to disable supercharging on phone. What i can do? Anyone have solution?

Thank you so much Gamkutopolowk. it does work for me.
I encounter same issue, I used different charger, when i used the huawei p10 supercharger, it doesnt work anymore. it took several hours to be fully charged.
here's what i did.
I just wipe cache partition, and voila good as new, back to supercharger.
how to wipe cache partition huawei p10? turned off the phone, hold up volume and power for around 10 secs. huawei logo will appear, continue pressing until emui appear. then, browse to wipe cache partition using volume down, then select using power button.
Hope this help. Thank you guys. :good::angel:
Good to know your problem it's solved.
Super charging issue
Its not the charger or cable just clean out your usb C port and cable ports and also the charger port once and voila its resolved. Ive had the same issue the reason was the dirt in the connectors

Hey Guys!
So this morning I almost had a heart attack. I left my phone connected to the charger overnight and when I woke up this morning it wouldn't respond! The power button did not work and I couldn't unlock the phone or even put it on silent. The touchscreen froze up or something. I tried removing the battery but no luck. So I had to factory reset the phone, now it works but I lost my apps/widgets and customizations
Any idea why this happened? I don't want it happening again.

Any recent changes to the phone software-wise? New widgets, Launcher, or something like that? How far in the boot process did you get after the battery pull? Did the animation start, etc?
If you're running clockwork recovery (and you should be! ) then I would have tried wiping cache and dalvik-cache (if you didn't) first before resorting to a full factory wipe.
I'm running stock. The only change I made the night before was the wallpaper. After battery pull it would go to the lock screen, except it wouldn't respond at all not even the power button would respond. T
I want to root the phone but I've been having USB problems. The cable I have apparently doesn't allow transfer of data so I orderd an OEM cable that I'm still waiting on.
The cable is just a cable, never heard of a cable that wouldn't allow data to be transfer... And the problems you told seems to be hardware issues and to me It sounds like you have a faulty phone, you should just replace it.

I can't... bought it off of eBay. I was told to get another cable, some other people seemed to have that problem and a new cable fixed the problem.

i can actually vouch this is true, my brother had a G2 and i used my usb cable to transfer data, nothing. then i got the white one that came with the phone and it worked.

I've used cables with some pins shorted (in effect disabling data transfer), for a generally faster charging experience. I've owned a few cables bought from everywhere and some doesn't allow for data transfer especially cheap ones I picked up from eerie places.
In any case, if he was using the cable that came in with the phone, I'm pretty sure it is data-enabled unless he pulled it hard enough to damage the data line. That OR he doesn't have the correct drivers installed.
Well, lets just hope its a cable issue & not a hardware issue. Let us know how it goes.

Same happened with myphone after some app updates (think it was Google earth). Tried restart multiple times without any luck. Then I changed my sim and it worked magically this time!
Came back to my original sim and everything was fine after that.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I tried taking the sim in and out, didn't help.
After factory reset its working really great now. I'm assuming it was an app or something. Sucks how I lost everything though.
I'm still waiting on the OEM USB. Just to let you know, the USB cable I have lets the phone charge, when I connect it to my MBP or any other computer but there is no option to go into USB mode on the phone and its not detected by the laptop.
I did manage to transfer music using a very great app that I bought, AirSync. Just wirelessly transferred my music over so the USB not being able to transfer data isn't to much of a big deal anymore.
UPDATE:
So I just received an OEM cable and charger. IT WORKS!
I can finally connect my MBP to my Nexus S.

Hello, i'am from france and i have a Samsung Galaxy Note SM-N9005.
When i try to plug the charger in phone ( Turned On), it doesnt recognize it. I tried to use it's USB 3.0 cable ( from the box) , doesnt work.
then i tried another samsung charger micro usb one, doesn't work. Then i tried to plug it in my pc, the pc doesn't recognize it.
The only way to charge it, is to turn it off... but it still have a strange way to charge.
When i plug the charger,it vibrate and then show me the grey battery, then the green one ( Normal way to show that's its charging).
After around 10 sec, it vibrate again ( like if i unplugged it) and it comes back to the grey battery, then green.... over and over...
It does this but it still charge my phone, and that's the only way i found to charge it.i dont know why it is charging when it is turned off and not when it is turned on?

i have the exact same problem!!! It just started yesterday.
Do you use the original charger?
If you use a other charger with less power, the phone will not charge!
You need a 2Ah Charger.

Yes i understand, but i use the one that came with the telephone. Its the original samsung USB Cable 3.0 + the Charger.
I tried with the Charger from a Galaxy Note 2 ( usb 2.0) it still doesnt work.
It's a hardware problem.

As said is hardware issue. If your Note 3 is under warranty use it, because they will fix it. If not, go to a phone repair center and they should be able to fix it as well.
It might be the microusb from the phone, a friend of mine had something similar with his s2.Good luck!

Back up your data with your backup app of choice (Helium, Titanium Backup). Throw your backup file into dropbox.
Your photos should be backed up in drop box so don't bother.
Contacts are in your Google account don't bother with that either.
So I think it's just Music and movies if you're not using Play Music.
I would use sd card for back up, that's one of the reasons it's there. I backed up contacts on my old phone to Google and then for some reason couldn't recover it on new phone, maybe I did something wrong, but had no problem loading them them up from sd card. If you really hate to send it back (I would) you could open the back (search youtube, there are few videos how to), I think it's 8 screws and check if the charging board connector is loose. I wouldn't go much past that and would make sure there are no temper proof seals to disturb.
Hello how you solved this problem? I discover exact the same problem with charging on my n9005 today.
Pretty sure this is related to the software on this, not the hardware, unless they are all broken. I have recently sent mine in for the same reason, got new note 3 had it for a week now. But before sending it in i got a new battery, new cables, nfc charger and a cradle, to rule out all the chargers as a possibility. After getting the new one it worked fine until I updated after all updates came down now it wont charge again. I found that If I remove the battery and put it back in it will start charging from time to time but currently its off and charging sort of, Keeps starting to charge for about 5 min and then stops for about 10, and keeps this cycle. If anyone else has a new one and still getting this after Updates please let me know.

Problem fixed!
I had the same EXACT problem for a couple weeks. It clearly isn't a hardware issue if the battery actually is charging when off (FYI to anyone who needs a refresher on how technology works). Clearing the system cache took 30 seconds and worked! Here is how to do it:
Turn off the Galaxy Note 3.
Press and hold Volume UP + Home + Power buttons.
When the Android System Recovery screen appears, release the Volume Up and Home keys.
In the recovery menu, navigate to ‘’wipe cache partition’’ with the volume buttons.
Press power button to confirm.
Once this is done, select reboot system now.
Requesting your help!!!! pls... Super urgent

So after a lot of reading online and understanding logically that if the hardware is screwed then the phone will not charge in the first place, I followed your steps and wiped my cache. I was literally keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the end of my long haul with this problem. However, the phone did not start charging after that and the problem still persists. I strongly believe that this is a software related problem as the phone functions fine and the battery life is also as it was before. Given this, I kindly request you to tell me if there are any other solutions or ways through which I can fix this issue? Your response is most appreciated and urgent.. HELP!!

Ok, wiping the system cache worked for about 2 hours. I was a little too excited. I just replaced the charging port and so far, so good. Make sure to buy the proper charging port; each one is different per carrier (e.g., mine is a SM-N900V for Verizon, SM-N900T for T-Mobile, etc.). The charge port was $11. You can find all carriers, except Verizon, on Amazon. I googled Note 3 replacement parts and picked the most legit looking website to order mine. Good luck.
did any one found out any solution for this
i am getting same grey battery sign over and over again when plugged into charger (Wall/USB 2.0/3.0) and its not starting with battery power, last time battery was charged to 86%

hey how you fixed it. i m also facing same issue now
I've been having an issue with my OnePlus 2 since I got it where sometimes it won't charge until I've rebooted the unit. It will not lose battery while plugged in and in this state but says not charging and shows the plugged in battery icon. Anyone else having this issue?
Yep, but I usually don't use the official cable/charger.
Yah, I am also facing this problem with my brand new OP2.
Yeah same issue with my handset. It would use the USB data connection and everything will work fine. But it won't charge, for which I require a reboot.
I called up their customer care and I was asked to clear the cache, which I did. Will post my observations further
I get this issue too. Hopefully it's a software issue that can be fixed on all opt. Are any of you on a custom rom or kernel?
I'm on stock rom with AK kernel.
clear cache
Getting this very annoying issue also. Its clearly software because, as mentioned, a reboot solves this.
Can you tell me what cache they asked you to clear? How did you actually do this?
Cheers
Noam M.
I received my phone yesterday, and charged it up to 100%. Today it refused to charge from my computer, and I had to plug it into the wall with the AC adapter to get it to charge. I will try a reboot next time and see if that works.
I'm running it 100% vanilla.
Me too - same issue.
Stock Cable always (others are still no delivered..)
also Stock Kernel + ROM (Oxygen 2.1.1)
I have the same issue: it charged when plugged into the AC adapter or an Anker, but wouldn't charge when connected to my MacBook. It still drew its power from the USB connection though, so it stayed at the same battery level. A reboot did not help. Using the rooted stock ROM (2.0.3).
Same issue here though I have only had this problem while charging via PC USB port. Charging from AC power adapter works fine every time.
I am on a 1 month old OnePlus 2 A2003 (European) with Android 5.1.1, kernel 3.10.49 and Oxygen OS 2.1.1.
Also encountering this problem – it appears that after the phone successfully charges to 100%, it needs to be rebooted before it enables charging from a USB port again. Charging using a wall charger seems to work at any time.
There's a discussion about this issue over on the OP forums. Just thought I'd cross-link the two.
I haven't received the 2.1.2 update yet; will post if it fixes the problem.
Well, so far it looks like the 2.1.2 update fixed the issue indeed, at least for me and one other poster over at the OP forum.
Try These :
1. reboot in bootloader mode. (switch off -> power button + vol. low)
Wipe Cache (if you wipe data your phone will be reset!)
It should work now!
2. Let your battery go to 0% and wait for 5 minutes, now plug it into charge, it should work properly now.
Do Thank! if it worked!
I have a Moto G4 plus. The phone takes min 4 hours for complete 100% charge even on original Fast charger. i read that it charges faster of the cache is cleared. But whenever I try to goto recovey, i see the fallen android symbol. How to fix this?

Just wait for few mintues and then press power button + volume up button together. You might need to do this a couple of times too (sometimes it doesn't work)
That will open up the recovery mode and then wipe /cache to clear cache.
Apart from this, I don't know if there's a connection between cache and charging time.
4 hours to charge the complete battery with the turbocharger isn't normal. Maybe your battery is nearing the end of its life or there is some problem with usb port or maybe charger.
Power down the phone. Plug it in. The phone's charging mode firmware will tell you if it's in turbo mode. It probably isn't because of the cable. Cables wear out. For me it's usually the male micro USB connectors.

My Huawei P10 lite(WAS-LX1A) supports Huawei quick charging(18W-9V2A). But it works only when the phone is OFF. When it's ON it takes around 5 hours to charge. When it's OFF its only 1h 40m. I'm using the original charger and cable. If I switch ON the phone after plugging in when it was OFF, then quick charging works for a few minutes and gets slow again. I have tried everything. It is not a heating issue because its the same even when the phone is completely cool. How do I get fast charging to work when phone is ON?? According to monitoring apps when the phone is ON it doesn't get more than 0.8A(max). Usually its around 0.4A(average). This is not an issue with the cable, charger or the usb port because everything is in great condition and original
Howzit bud,
I also use a P10 Lite and since the first day, the Fast Charging was always unpredictable and not constant.
A friend of mine mentioned to me a few months ago that the Fast Charge is affected by the cache being too large at that time.
So I did the restart into the Boot Loader and cleared the Cache Partition.
Thereafter it seemed to be working more often but still not always.
I use the Accubattery app as well to monitor the charge rate on my phone and the maximum charge rate when it's fast charging shows 2,750mA.
I can use the phone to browse items on the device and it'll still be charging fast.
But the moment I use the browser or YouTube app, the charge rate immediately drops to around 650-700mA.
I first thought it was my charger or cable, bought another original fast charger + OEM cable, cleaned the charging port, etc. No difference.
But in the meantime why don't you go to Settings, Storage and use the Storage Cleaner.
It should assist somewhat.
But for me, clearing the cache partition like I said absolutely helped.
Lemme know if it works.
Hey. Glad to find another user of this device. I tried clearing the cache partition but unfortunately it had no effect nor did cleaning storage. I got a new cable to see if there is any difference and there actually is a little difference. I don't know why because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the first cable. I've also noticed that fast charging is more likely to work when WiFi is used instead of mobile data. Turning screen of works too but overall its too hard to predict what'll trigger fc. A trick I found is that I can increase offline fc speed if I plug it in when the phone ON and then turn it OFF after it's plugged in for like a minute(don't unplug when switching OFF) . Do this instead of switching it OFF and then plugging it in. This method creates more heat but it can give a full charge in ~1h20m. Instead of the usual 1h50m. Maybe yours does this by default I don't know. Thanks. Let me know if you find anymore tricks

It's great that you've found somewhat of a workaround that works on your device.
When I was going through this problem I searched everywhere and all I could find were generic answers from everybody.
Like, "Make sure your using the original charger and cable" or "Maybe your cable/charging port is damaged" which only led to more frustration.
It's still a bit of a hit and miss affair but less impactful.
Try installing Accubattery to keep an eye on your charging rate on your device in real time.
I also have the data monitor permanently on my notification bar so I'm able to see how downloading files or watching YouTube affects charging.
It helps me.
Anyways, glad you're winning a bit.
Yes buddy I do have accubattery installed. If the display is off it charges at around 1900ma(avg). As soon as I start using it drops to 500ma(avg) . It's always either 500 or 1900. There's no inbetween. Looks like this bug is a mistake by huawei that wasn't checked or fixed. We'll have to live with it

Yeah, this fast charge tech wasn't ready for release when they gave it to us...
Good stuff!
Mine max charge rate caps out at exactly 2750mA.. But yeah, if I'm using the phone it drops right down.
Cool
