My s8 is so slow on installing Apps, it doesn't matter if it's an apk which I downloaded from the internet or from the Play store. I am comparing it with my last smartphone the s7 edge and to my friends s8.
It's not rooted. I would be thankful for any advice.
You need to factory data reset your phone and then try installing apps again.

Maybe remove your gmail account, reboot, and add your gmail account again?

You said you cleared google cache, but I would wipe cache all together and let it rebuild. Are you modded? Or should I ask how modded are you?

Yes am rooted using the stock rom if that what are you asking. I factory rest my phone but the problem still persist. So i reflashed the stock rom via odin now everything back to normal.

I've noticed that my phone was rebooting and I was looking for a pattern. After a few reboots I find out it happens when there's an notification or trying to update an app in Google play. So, the workaround is to disable auto update apps and notifications of available updates too.
Now it's running rock solid, but this problem makes me sad.
Thank you!
Stock firmware or rooted/custom? Either way you should consider a factory reset
Yup, as said above or if that doesn`t help reflash the stock/custom rom with Odin/recovery and then data factory reset.

Did you try clearing the Google Play and Google Play Services data in settings/apps/all apps and reboot and try again?
There is a small chance that you might have a defective device. If you can demonstrate to the manufacturer that factory reset does not solve your problems, you can get it fixed/replaced. Good luck guy

Maybe, but I have triggered the knoxx already rooting for the first time.
I've done factory reset on this phone and I've wiped the YouTube app data and cache yet it's still doing it, I have no idea about this. I'm using APD1 firmware, it only does this force close on the subscription menu
Here's the video of it

Wipe data and cache for YouTube app, then in recovery mode, wipe cache partition. Will see if that helps.

I just did all of that and it seems to be working normally without any force close in the subscription menu, but I'm still afraid that it would come back after several hours of watching YouTube videos.
Edit : it just solved the issue temporarily, after a minute of scrolling down on the subscription menu, suddenly the force close thing came back -_-

Did you tried to reflash your rom with Odin? I'm on rooted stock rom and have no problems here.

Hi
I was tired of the instability with root, custom roms and kernels and decided to go back stock.
I flashed stock firmware from Sammobile and did a factory reset afterwards. Only app I have installed that changes anything is greenify with aggressive doze. Could that do it? Witnessed it twice already. My phone vibrates 2 times and then reboot. Could I have done anything with custom kernel so something in my phone is broken?
do you have an sdcard installed in your phone?
if yes, then try using phone without one.
clear cache after removing card and reboot.
also install a cpu temperature monitoring app that shows temp all the time on screen.
This way you can monitor is the issue is sdcard or thermall shutdown/reset.
I think this is heading in the right direction. I have a stock S7edge and 40GB of music and about 10GB photos on my 128 GB Samsung SD card. I have been trying for a month to track down why I get one quick vibrate, then 5-10 sec later two quick vibrates and then the phone reboots.
It's been driving me crazy. Ive factory wiped the phone twice, I only use apps from the app store, I've tried tracking my apps and installing / removing app after app, and can't seem to figure out a pattern.
Now that we're discussing the SD card I think this may actually be the cause. I do think my music app (rocket player , but also happened with monkeymedi) was running and I have the photo album widget running at same time when the reboots occur.
Again this is very had to figure out. From what I can tell there is no crash reporter for Android like there is for iPhone (which is unbelievable).
Please keep this thread going. I think we're on to something.
I have this problem... Any once have fix for this behavior ?

Hi guys.
I had the same problem and i try all ways (factory reset, Wipe, Flash different Kernels and...) but my phone (Note3 N9005) reboot randomly.
I saw a video in YouTube and he solved this problem by installing a simple app (Wake Lock). I tried this way and my problem completely solved.

How to fix Random reboots on Android
Hello,
I bought a brand new S7 Edge yesterday and today I decided to install a custom ROM because of samsung's bull****.
Downloaded a few and flashed them, but every rom had a problem on PlayStore that I wasn't able to download any apps from it.
The error was number 963 and I did everything I could to fix (deleting playstore cache, removing the sd card, rebooting and so...)
Does someone know how to fix it?
All ROMs I downloaded were Android Nougat, so I'm downloading a Marshmallow one right now, hoping I can fix it.
Thanks in advance guys!

I had a similar issue with that, it would not even open. I downloaded play store apk, Google + apk, and Google play services apk or whatever it's called. Installed the 3 apk's and voila, working again...

Thanks for the answer dude.
I tried doing that, but without success. Now when I download an app it says "Download Pending" and does nothing.
I'm flashing a Marshmallow ROM right now and will report my results.
Nope. Tried editing the hosts file also, but nothing happened. I'm really pissed off.
EDIT: I got it working (don't ask me how). Apps download fine from Play Store now. The only problem I have right now is that I can't login to Snapchat.
I tried to install Xposed and use that "Root Cloak" but when I flashed Xposed my S7 entered a bootloop.
Can someone please help me?
No one?
Try those steps:
1.Run psiphon app with hole tunnle device
2.Go Settings-application-google play store
Clear all data & force stop it.
3.Run play store...hope it works

Playstore error 963
Close the Developer Options and it should start downloading - you can always reopen it later.
