Good day! So a friend of my visited a tech guy on a mall to get his J5 Prime network unlocked. The tech guy used Z3x to unlock his phone. Then after 3 months, his IMEI went null all of a sudden after a reboot. Can anyone help us with this?
We can't go back to the tech guy since it was three months later already.

I've used my phone N900T for about 10 days, all of sudden, it stopped connecting to network(carrier) yesterday. I tried everything but no effect. Sim card was good when I put it back to my N7000.
Today I went to tmobile store as was told that the IMEI was blocked by Tmobile, reason "fraud". They told me that maybe the source of the phone was not good, say stolen, and that's the reason.
Called Negri and they asked me to file a RMA to exchange the device. Hopefully this would work out.
Am I so lucky that I should buy some powerball..?
All,
I recently purchased a Galaxy Note III in Australia.
A few hours later, I left my phone in the local KMART counter by accident. After searching for the phone for a whole day. I reported my phone as lost to my carrier and they IMEI blocked my phone.
2 days later, the local KMART store called me to let me know that someone has handed in my phone in.
I called up my carrier to let them know I found the phone, unfortunately however I was advised after 24 hours of the phone being reported as lost or stolen and IMEI blocked it cannot be restored/undone.
I am now stuck with a dead Galaxy Note III that I cannot use to make calls and a 24 month contract I cannot cancel with my carrier.
Can someone please help guide me the process I need to follow in order to change IMEI number on my phone permanently?
I have seen several guides on the internet however they are related to the S3/Note II and nothing on the Note III.
I'm really needing someone to help me with this. I appreciate the help.

It is illegal to change the IMEI of a phone in Oz... No-one here on XDA will give you those instructions....
If u are the ph owner with proof ...then go shout bang and whatever at yr carrier and ask them to fix or replace the unit.
Teleported from my SM-N9005 from the Enterprise
They wont do it. It's my fault and it can't be unblocked.
Can be unblocked
Since You Purchase the Handset on Contract, Just go back to the original Store of Purchase and explain the situation to them.
They will have all your details on the Computer. (Your Name, Address, IMEI of Handset.) They can make a call or give you the Information to prove Ownership.
I saw this on many occasions. Customers misplacing handsets and having them Blocked only to find them after a frantic search.
If You can show Proof of Ownership IT CAN BE UNBLOCKED.
I used to work for Telstra and know for a fact that they can be unblocked. Just need to prove that You are the Original Owner and have a Store Receipt and/or Contract Details.

Hello there XDA! I have a dilemma I bought a used Samsung galaxy s4 i337 from a guy locally and I tried to downgrade the firmware using Odin and I somehow missed up the Wifi because it would not turn on. Long story short I sent the phone to Samsung because it was still under warranty and they replaced the motherboard and sent it back. Upon receiving the device I went to pop in my buddy's AT&T similar (I have metro pcs) and it gave the MM#2 error. I checked the IMEI online and it shows blacklisted/stolen on checkesnfree. So pretty much this guy sold me the phone reported it stolen then used the money to get another through insurance probably. What are my options at this point. I know IMEI change is illegal but is it easy to just swap out motherboards on these devices? Anybody have a suggestion?
Someone was trying to do that with my S5 I had posted for sale. He was asking for the IMEI, serial, receipt, etc... he was for sure going to try to insure it, then report it stolen.
Hello All..
I am in some serious problems and i can't help what should i do.
I purchased a galaxy s4 gt-I9500 from a shopping mall in Muscat Oman. It worked for about 2 months, then it said "no service" i was told that somehow the IMEI was bad. In fact, the IMEI inside the hardware was different from the sticker. I am looking for someone to repair the IMEI from remote if possible.
The IMEI inside the mobile phone is 004999010640000 its different form the one on the box.
Kindly help what should i do? As it was my first ever cellphone to buy..i have been collecting money for it since my first Job T_T
So i bought a S8 plus off ebay back in January 2018 and I just found out the person who sold it to me stopped paying for it this week. So now my IMEI number is blocked and eBay and T-Mobile won't help me.
If I root the phone would it unlock the IMEI number?
The model is G955F Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955U)

No take your recept and go to your local police as the sellar sold you property that was not his or hers to sell. We do not discuss blacklisted imei fixing on XDA this is the best advice you will get here. It sucks when people do this crap and they outha be slapped in the mouth. Tmobile wont help other than either you pay it off or nothing. You should be able to go in your ebay history and get your recepit...
yeah i kind of figured this out.
Ebay told me to email their police reinforcement team because i stopped using the term they stopped paying for their phone instead used they sold me a stolen phone. guess i need to print out my receipt and file a report. maybe i can atleast get the person who sold it to me banned.
