J5 Pro 2017 Internet does not work even connected & working. - Samsung Galaxy J5 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have 50 Mbps connection in home and my laptop works well with the Internet but I am having problem with my devices. On previous connection it seems to work fine. But recently things have changed and the Internet does not work well on J5 Pro.
Even when the Internet is connected and working, apps does not seem to send or receive any messages especially Whatsapp and LinkedIn. Meanwhile, the mobile browser seems to work fine. When I open and close the WiFi toggle in mobile, the apps then send the messages or gets refreshed to see news feed.
I don't know what the problem is with the WiFi toggle or app? What to do?

PiE not Browsing over 3G

Hi All
Sorry if this is a duplicate thread, I searched but coudln't find anything.
My PiE works fine only under WiFi, but never seems to want to work over my mobile data connection.
My BBConnect, and HTC Home Weather can establish and use the connection no problems, but not with PiE.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this up

...actually pie isn't working at all even over WiFi.
I click on any link, it says connecting then it stops...
i would
1 check the setting in connection advanced to see if it was set to use the right connection to access the internet
2 try another browser then pie (it being the worst browser on the planet could be an issue)
3½ if special network settings for gateway and or dns was set i would remove them or change them to the connect ones

My other programs (BBConnect, HTC Weather) have no problems getting on.
Just PIE (was set for Rogers Internet) I also tried My Blackberry and HTC Home still updates, but not PIE....
I thought I would bump this.
I gave up and did a re-install. Everything was fine for a bit, and its back again.
All I have installed is SyncML Client, VJDevice Lock, Today Agenda, voice command BBConnect.
Its ONLY IE that won't work. I would really appreciate some help with this one!
So it is the blackberry software that is doing it. I think it is forcing you to use that, rather than the regular data connection.
If anyone can help me manage this, I would appreciate it.

I have a similar browser related problem...
Everything works on 3G, GPRS, WiFi, etc... EXCEPT PIE only does not work with WiFi, same symptoms you are receiving. I have to turn off the WiFi to get PIE to work. With WiFi on, email and all other connectivity programs can stilll get data from the web.
There is something here where PIE settings are somehow slightly different than the WiFi connection....
Anyone have any ideas? The fix for me would also fix the same issue for you...
...and a follow up to the issue, if I wanted to change the default browser in WM6 to NetFront of Opera, how would I go about doing that?

Problem browsing the internet (and GPS)!

Hi,
I just bought my Touch HD and everything is working great except of my internet. I have an EDGE account (We don't have 3G yet) and it's going a bit sloppy.
Though my Weather application works fine, i can't connect to the internet through Opera nor through Internet Explorer. It just says "ERROR" in big red letters.
If i connect through WiFi, i can't connect as well.
Now the weird part is that the youtube app, works great with EDGE, but it doesn't with WiFi.
I also haven't got a clue how to install my GPS properly so it would work with Google Maps?
Please help me a.s.a.p.

Certainly not an expert on this, but are you connecting to the internet through a proxy?

[Q] Xoom Internet only works in browser

I have a Wifi only Xoom running android 3.1.
I'm connected to my internet. Tried rebooting xoom & Router
Today when I connected only the browser seems to work. Tried many different websites all load fine.
Any time I try to access the internet via another application it shows no internet access. Android Market just keeps saying no internet connection.... Ive tried 3 different apps besides the market. Nothing....
Any idea's ?
Is there a option in the settings that would disable app internet connections ???
I have the same problem, and I have not found a solution to the issue. I notice that some apps can find the internet just fine (Beautiful Widgets), while apps like CNN say I must connect to a network. *Despite the fact I am on a super fast WiFi network*
backup all your files(music,movies,etc) and restore it back to factory. What happen was the update didn't take 100%. I had problem but everything is great after a factory reset.

Whatsapp and Facebook not work on WiFi

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM900H, buy it for two days, I have a very strange problem in my home I have a WiFi network, connected to Wifi with my S5 I can browse the internet through Chrome, use any application that needs internet, receipt Whatsapp messages (images, Videos), Facebook Messenger, Email, Hangouts, etc., but when I try to send pictures, videos or text messages through WhatsApp are never sent and Facebook does not load the new news, it is loading and it never ends.
If I connect to 3G data network everything works fine.
There are several Samsung phones in my house and all work fine connected to the same wireless network.
In my house there is no Proxy or any equipment that restricts access to the internet.
I already delete data, cache and uninstall both applications, install again and the problem persists.

Slow WiFi connection after receiving August 2016 update

Hi All,
Need help on how to fix my wifi connection. I received the August 2016 update on my s7e and after installing it, seems that any app I open that needs wifi connection tooks forever to load like youtube and instagram. When I tried to switch on my LTE, everything is loading fine. And tried it also on office wifi, seems everything is fine also. Connection at home works well with other devices. its just slow on my phone after the update.
tried to change the channels on my ac router but still encountering the same. i tried also to forget the wifi on my phone and connect again, reset network settings and still having slow connection.
Please help what other things i need to try to restore the wifi connection. I'm avoiding the restore factory settings as it will took a while for me to restore everything on my phone.
