[Q] How to install Google Apps on Neo/Arc

I have a MT15i (Neo), bought in China last month (build 3.0.A.2.181).
Unfortunately no Google applications were installed on the phone. No Market, no Search, no YouTube, no nothing from Google.
Since then I have downloaded several apk files for Google Search, Voice, Maps, Translate and Voice Search but I just can't get the Market, Gmail, CarHome and Talk Apps to work.
If I look into Setting-->Applications-->Manage applications-->All, then I nowhere can find "Google Services Framework" in the list. Am I right that I have to have that installed?
I've successfully rooted the phone a few days ago with Gingerbreak v1.1 (thanks Chainfire!). I downloaded "gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip" from Cyogen's Wiki page, then tried to install the package with Rom Manager but that didn't work. I think it may be because the phone won't allow to boot into recovery.
Does anyone know how to install all the Google Apps on a rooted Neo/Arc?
Thanks

One best way is to flash your phone with one of available firmware here. You can always go to android only section of the forum and download stock files.

[Q] Reset the Device, want the default apps back ?????

Hi,
I reset the device to add another google account as the main account. Once done the default apps given by google are all gone? any chance i can get them back
If you flashed a rom and can't find google apps like play store gmail google talk and other google services you should flash gapps package. You can find it everywhere and almost every rom thread in forum.

[Q] Error 403 of Google Play on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9502

Dear All,
For more than a week, I have been frustrating about the 403 error on my Galaxy I9502 Duos. I have searched many places on the Internet, and I still couldn't make it work. The problem is really killing me, and I spent the whole last night writing emails with and trying solutions from Google support team, and in the end, they said they couldn't help me due to that my cellphone is a rooted device. That's ridiculous! How could I have the Google Apps without rooting my I9502?
So I have tried many ways that I can find, but still, the problem is not solved, please help me and you are my last hope!
Here are the information:
1. I'm using a stock rom based on Android 4.2.2:
Baseband version: I9502ZNUCMH3
Build number: JDQ39.I9502ZNUCMH4
2. I installed below package:
gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip
3. Methods I have tried:
3.a I have found below link in xda, and tried below methods, and it doesn't help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1567456
3.a.1: Wiping cache, clear data, clear cache and force stop all below components and restart:
Google Play Store, Google Play Store Service, Google Services Framework
But this doesn't work!
3.a.2: Remove Account:
And I even tried to add another google account of my family, but still doesn't work as well!
3.a.3: Reset both two APNs to the default:
Note, I mainly use WIFI. And both two APN has been reset to default. But this doesn't work!
3.a.4: Using proxy:
I have GAEProxy and Ladder Trial installed. But this doesn't work no matter the proxy is opened or closed.
3.a.5: Revert back to the old play store:
I am using the oldest play store together with gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip, and obvious this doesn't work too.
3.a.6: Switch to another account:
I switched to another google account, but this doesn't work.
3.a.6: Factory Reset
I didn't do this yet, but I am seriously thinking about this。。。
4. Beside this problem, I also found that my browser can not access mail.google.com
And there is a similar error message:
403. That’s an error.
Your client does not have permission to get URL /2 from this server. That’s all we know.
All, I have tried all my best, and still, I can't figure out this problem. Please help me!!!!!
Thanks.

Really? I really have no idea how to install Google App without root on Galaxy S4 I9502 ? Could you please shed some light on it? Thanks!
In addition, I personally think this is not a issue relate to root as my worked phoned had worked for month until this came up suddenly.
Have tried almost the same thing...
I've done almost the same things as wangmengj (except for trying another google account). Still no success.
My device is an UMI X1 :cyclops:
Also:
My google play doesn't update by himself, but I tried removing all updates (reset to version 3.3x.sumthin'), then manually installed the newest version (I believe it is 4.4.22).
Still no success.

I have no idea what're you doing and why.
First of all, to check if your Google account is OK, log in from laptop, desktop or other PC to Google Play.
Error 403 usually means that the server refuses your authentication, in other words: you do not have the credentials accepted by the server.
If using PC you'll have same error - that would mean that there is something wrong with the account.
Second, usually (it was same in case of ALL my android phones) - the Google Play was part of the ROM and was accessible as soon as I input the Google account settings. And definitely, installing the apps using the Google Play does NOT requires root, otherwise ALL android phones would be rooted as sold.
Hi,
I am also getting the same error and had done the same as the above including a factory reset. Still I am getting the same error. I can login to my account via pc but I cannot go to my google setting via my tablet's web browswer. I also realised my device is no longer listed in my google play under setting (via PC). Can someone shed some light to it?
I had the exact same problem on my I9502, and now all settled. Here's what I've done:
- Find app "Root Explorer" and install it.
- With RE, go to root/etc
- Delete the file "hosts" or simply change its name.
Then it should work!

I have had this problem for months now.
I too have been back and forth with google "support" via email, they are ****ing useless.
The issue is on THEIR end.
When I login to the play store on my computer, and I try and download an app, it throws and error immediately after clicking install - it has nothing to do with my device, the issue exists with my account on their end somewhere, but they refuse to acknowledge this and fix it, I really don't know what to do.

hi all,
is there any solution to this issue without dealing with root ?
I have already tried all the exist idea...

Google Play 489 error

After doing all of these:
*delete all account
*cleared playstore, google services, framework cache and data
*disabling and force stop this 3
*full clean restore(after performing this, I can download all my and new apps, but when update comes and try to install it, it gives me 489 error also)
still having this annoying 489 error even I did the steps above specially on updating apps because "sometimes" downloading new app is possible without error and sometimes it does 489 error.
I have 3 gmail accounts on my G2. When I tried downloading on my account 'A' and it gives me 489 error, I switched to my account 'B' and it will download it, and when I tried to switch again on my account 'A' then tried to download new app, it will work. But this only happens rarely because most of the time it gives me 489 error.
I have one solution to download new updates, and that is uninstalling the app and installing it which is really annoying and tiring to do specially when there is 5+ apps that have new versions and like I said, sometimes downloading app is not working it gives me this hilarious 489 error.
Last time, I really want to hammer this phone, but I think my G2 has nothing to do with my problem, it is the play store.
Btw I have:
G2 D80220B KK
Dori Kernel
xposed
Titanium backed up apps(i don't think this is the problem, because my last restore of these apps is since March 2014 and all installs and updates are working fine until last week)
blocked apps by titanium
*fused location
*google search
*location services
*smart screen
*smartshare push
*smartshare.beam
*street view
*tags
*talkback
*voice mate
I hope someone can help me here. Or is it possible to install new google play APK from others phone that don't have this problem? Really need some help here.
Thanks

Google services framwork stopped working on rooted chinese Galaxy S4 i9500

Hello,
currently I am having a Galaxy S4 i9500 with the original chinese Android 4.2.2, which has been rooted. I've been trying to install the Google Playstore and been looking a long time on the internet to do so. When installing these Apps, I use the Root Explorer to put these files into system/apps, changing the permission to match the other apps (rw-r-r) and then i just reboot.
First of all i got myself the google login manager, google services Framework and of course the playstore itself. The Playstore works and the accountmanager aswell, i get to log into my google account and i can open up the playstore now, which previously always instantly closed, but now it says connection error, as the installation of the google services framework fails. I tried several files from different sites. And if the installation succeds google framework keeps on crashing. Also tried clearing cache, but pretty much senseless as it never worked and I never had it before on my Phone. So I also copied a working version of the framework from my old Galaxy S2 onto my S4, but still does not work. But until now i didn't get the framework to work on my Phone.
Do you have any idea how to get a working file? Or am I just installing it the wrong way? Are more files needed for installation of it? Thing is, if possible I would really like to keep my stock rom and not having to install a custom one. I was just wondering, how so many people got the playstore to work on their chinaphone with the tutorials given, but it just woen't work on mine..
Thank you for your help!
