Hello i have a classic P8 Lite with branded software, and i had a root with kingroot (or something like that) after unroot, the Update app notify me with a new system 300MB update. After download it fails on 19% while installing and reboot back to homescreen. So what can i do if i want a non-rooted android 6? Download B565 (android 6) version via app " Firmware Finder", and try to update? But i dont want to brick my phone... thanks for your replies!
What is your build number?
Ale-l21svkc150b181
You must debrand(change region) to europe that you might have android 6
In 5.0.1 you mustn't have unlock bootloader
Download b170 rom and b524 rollback
Flash in local update
Flash in dload b170 vendor file
Flash in dload rollback b300 file
Flash in dload b170 rom file(2gb file)
Flash in dload b170 vendor file
Download b610 update file europe for p8 lite ale-l21
Install in local update
At the first, i must lock my bootloader again? It is the same like unlocking, but i type relock ?
You have unlock bootloader? No,no may be unlocked
Kingoroot unlocked bootloader, its weird for me too. And i must download B524 and B300 rollback? But why rollback ? I have 5.0.1... and what is vendor file?
Ok so I wanted to root my Huawei p9 lite a long ago, I followed a thread here and unlocked bootloader. But then I changed my mind and decided not to root yet.
Now that I want to root my phone have I have no access to my computer but the bootloader is unlocked. Is is possible to root it without using a PC? I don't have TWRP installed but bootloader is unlocked. I've tried kingroot and other apps, all seem to fail.

mate 8 rebranded To AL-10 8.0.0839
I've unlocked bootloader with the official tool but didn't do root. Now I have trouble with GPay saying that my device cannot be used for paying.
I don't need root now. So, the question is: is there any way to relock bootloader without rooting the device, installing TWRP, Magisk etc? Or, maybe, can I just trick GPay into believing that everything's fine without relocking?
Any response would be strongly appreciated.

If you don't need root, why did you unlock it in the first place? You can't relock your bootloader if you have unlocked it with official tool. But by installing Magisk, you can use GPay. If you don't need root, disable it in Magisk settings.

I was trying to resolve some strange unmanageable issue with BT headphones volume and sound quality by installing Ainur module. But somehow it resolved on its own during the unlocking process (due to reset, I guess).
Anyway, I've got the answer: no GPay without root and Magisk. Thank you!
Hi, has anyone been able to use Google pay with unlocked bootloader (no root or custom recovery)?
I recently upgraded to Android 10 OOS with clean flash and thought to leave it stock (I had rooted and unlocked bootloader earlier. )
If there's no other way to run Google pay, I might as well root it and use Magisk hide.
Thanks in advance.
