Ok so I wanted to root my Huawei p9 lite a long ago, I followed a thread here and unlocked bootloader. But then I changed my mind and decided not to root yet.
Now that I want to root my phone have I have no access to my computer but the bootloader is unlocked. Is is possible to root it without using a PC? I don't have TWRP installed but bootloader is unlocked. I've tried kingroot and other apps, all seem to fail.

Is it possible?
You can not...
You can't flash SuperSU without having access to a custom recovery such as TWRP/CWR which requires a unlocked bootloader.
There has to be another way to install SuperSu, using recovery is just one of them... How about finding a kernel exploit?
Wanted to give this away to a friend in Europe, root the phone unlock it and put a custom rom.
Tried KingoRoot it finished with 100% says "rooted"
Kingroot always fails no matter what.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get it to work please?
5.1.1 Ver
Build: N910VVRU2BPA1
dont use kingo. use cf-root

Try kingoroot pc version works 100% with 5.1.1 n910v
But remember this will give you only temporary root
Once you reboot device the root will be gone
Bootloader is locked in n910v
There is a method you can get permanent root in verizon note 4 thread to unlock bootloader via adb method
If you unlock bootloader after that you can install twrp recovery and flash custom roms
Don't ever try cf auto root it won't work and it may brick your device.

I was able to root once and run the script and it changed the CID or whatever it was. Now I simply cannot get temp root at all to finish the bootloader unlock process. Tried PC version and Android version so many times now it just reboots and reboots.

You must flash any rom once you unlocked bootloader cuz unlocking will mess up your system so you cannot boot into system anymore.
Flash 5.1.1 stock firmware and start unlocking bootloader process from beginning
My P9 lite is rooted (with unlocked bootloader) and I received the OTA for Nougat. Can I flash it freely or should I not do it (any brick risk)?
Moreover, if it's safe to install it, will my bootloader be locked again like when I bought it (and no RELOCKED)?
Thank you
It's safe, u will just lost your custom recovery and root that's it. I upgraded myself. I am happy with the new update
Is there any windows/android app like old days framaroot and kingroot to root phone without installing twrp and unlocking bootloader? and is it possible for P9 lite?

i had some software that can basically do it for you (id have to replace the files for 6.0 root for nouget root and it would still say 6.0 but I'd work for nouget) i use it and you don't need to input commands but you still need to have an unlocked bootloader.
Hi,
I'm trying to root my daughter's Blade A452 with the latest dis_eu_a452v1.0.5 firmware, if at all possible without data loss. I tried KingRoot, KingoRoot, TowelRoot, all without success. Bootloader is locked, so flashing TWRP and SuperSU is not an option I'd like to pursue, if there are other ways.
Strangely, my other daughter's A452 rooted without any problems, but I didn't check the firmware version at the time -- might have been another one.
I'd appreciate any help!
Greetings,
Christoph
Are you trying unlock bootloader?
Not necessarily, except if there's no other way to get root. I know how to unlock the bootloader, but this would erase all user data (which I'm trying to avoid). I really don't need an open bootloader (no plans to flash a custom rom), just root access.
